Bills Offense Goes Back To Square 1 In Development

Bills Offense Goes Back To Square 1 In Development originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Buffalo Bills have one of the best offensive units in the entire NFL
The reigning MVP in Josh Allen is back, and he's got a collection of solid receivers, and a 1,000-yard runner (assuming James Cook eventually shows up), and a top-five offensive line are all part of the Bills' dominant offense.

As the team prepares for another year together - and a Super Bowl push that begins with this week's minicamp - the Bills have a difficult task. ... a hump to overcome.
In short? It's easy for a talented offense to get stale after so many years together.
It's why their play-caller, Joe Brady, will be under immense pressure this season.
Brady has a plan to keep the offense from falling into that trap, though. And it starts with pushing the entire group back to Square One through offseason workouts.
"I think a problem every coach faces every year is if you think you can just pick up where you left off, you lose sight of the details, you lose sight of the how, you lose sight of what got you to that point," Brady said. "There are elements of what we did last year that we obviously need to continue to sustain, but there are so many elements we've got to get better at."

Buffalo has always been one of the more efficiently explosive offensive units in the league over the last few years. They have gone toe-to-toe with the best ... and won more than their share.
The Bills believe themselves to be Super Bowl contenders. Time will tell if that is the case in 2025. And going back to Square One is part of that plan.

De'Aaron Fox offers injury update

De'Aaron Fox offers injury update originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Last season, before the trade deadline, the San Antonio Spurs added All-Star point guard De'Aaron Fox from the Sacramento Kings, hoping that he would be the long-term running mate for Victor Wembanyama. Advertisement The pair played only five games together, going 2-3, before Wembanyama had his season ended early with a deep vein thrombosis diagnosis in his shoulder. A few weeks later, Fox had his season ended as well, undergoing surgery on his pinkie finger. In 17 games with the Spurs, Fox averaged 19.7 points and 6.8 assists, clearly needing to get used to his new team. He expects to use the offseason to settle into his role with his new teammates and is already playing five-on-five and has been cleared for contact. 'I'm doing well. The surgery went fine,' Fox told The Houston Chronicle. 'I've been cleared, so I played a little five-on-five, and I've done contact stuff, so I'll be ready for next year.' The Spurs gave up Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Sidy Cissoko, and four first-round draft picks to the Kings and Chicago Bulls in a three-team deal to land Fox, although several of those picks had protections on them, and one of them ended up not conveying to the Kings. Advertisement Before the trade, Fox asked the Kings to get a deal done and listed the Spurs as the only acceptable landing spot. With Wembanyama in town, San Antonio has become a premier destination, and Fox got in on the ground floor, expecting the team to find massive success in the next few years. Sweatsuit Videos Raise Alarms: Was the Fight Doomed from the Start?

Sweatsuit Videos Raise Alarms: Was the Fight Doomed from the Start? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Before their fight, Eubank Jr weighed 0.05lb over the 11st 6lb middleweight limit for their match with Benn and was fined £375,000 due to that discrepancy. Advertisement The 35-year-old shared his vicious weight cut on his social media account with the caption: "Pain is temporary... Glory is forever." He appeared drenched in sweat. Thereafter, he stripped his clothes off and put on a sauna and a sweatshirt, instigating concern from his supporters. Former world champion George Groves now contends that the fight would have been canceled. 'If he fights Canelo next, great, it's up at 168. He hasn't got a worry about cutting to 160. You don't have to put up the videos of him sweating out in the sauna suit, which you're not allowed to do. You can't do that, Eubank! The British Boxing Board of Control should have pulled the fight. They should have canceled that fight as soon as they saw that. It's against the rules, you can't post videos of you losing weight like that and still box. But there was too much money on the line. I guarantee if someone did that on the undercard, they would not be boxing that night,' said George Groves during an interview with Scottish boxer Josh Taylor initially called for Chris Eubank Jr.'s bout with Conor Benn to be annulled after footage of their weight cut surfaced. Advertisement 'I think it should be called off. Eubank looked terrible, and he had a rehydration clause chucked in there on top of that as well. I think this is potentially a very disastrous night for boxing waiting to happen. I desperately hope this is not the case,' posted Taylor on social media. Elsewhere, Chris Eubank (35-3, 25 KOs) and his archrival Conor Benn met in an electrifying showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April, with Eubank emerging victorious by unanimous decision.
