Newcastle Utd superstar Alexander Isak stunned by ‘fearless' Celtic target
NEWCASTLE UNITED superstar Alexander Isak reckons 'fearless' Benjamin Nygren will be a top star with his Swedish international teammate set for a move to Celtic.
We were first to tell you how the Hoops are on the brink of wrapping up a £1.7 million cut-price transfer for the FC Nordsjaelland winger.

Nygren has enjoyed an outstanding season for his club and he was rewarded earlier this year when the 23-year-old was called up by Sweden for the first time.
He played against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland and was up front with St James' Park hero Isak, where he opened his international account with a goal against the Irish.
And Isak was full of praise for the new boy.
He said: "It was very good to play with Benjamin. I really enjoyed it.
"It's clear he is a fearless player who has a lot of confidence.
"Playing with a winger like that who is able to provide good crosses can only be beneficial for someone like me.
"I think he did incredibly well in the two games and it was a nice boost for him that he was also able to score his goal too."
Meanwhile, Nygren gave a strong hint last month about why he has opted for Celtic over other options in Europe by insisting he is desperate to play in the Champions League.
He said: "The last two years I have shown that I have taken the next step in my career, become a regular starter and I feel I have delivered at a high level for a long time.
"I have developed a lot - not only on the tactical levels, but also as a player on the pitch and as a leader.

"I am 23 years old and a captain already, which says a lot. My leadership skills are something that I have developed greatly.
"I have always seen myself as someone who wants to lead and wants to show others and set a good example both on and off the field.
"Playing in the Europa Conference League where I scored a hat-trick against Fenerbahce, was a big boost to my confidence and my dream is to play in the Champions League.
"I make no secret of the fact that I have high ambitions and want to play in the best leagues and play in the Champions League.
"And if you want to play in the biggest tournaments, you probably have to take the move forward from here."

Axed Rangers coach emerges as favourite for new job just ONE day after leaving Ibrox
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ISSAME CHARAI left Rangers earlier this week, but he looks to be nearing another job already. His contract was mutually terminated by the Ibrox club as Russell Martin begins to build his own backroom staff. Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 2 Charai was brought in under Philippe Clement, but stayed through Barry Ferguson's interim tenure too Credit: Willie Vass 2 But with Rangers appointing Matt Gill as new assistant manager, Charai was left without a place Credit: Willie Vass The 43-year-old joined Rangers' staff in January, shortly before Philippe Clement was sacked, and he only lasted five months in the role. He might not be out the game for long though. Reports claim the former Gers number two is closing in on the Westerlo job. David Van der Broeck, a Belgian journalist claims he is favourite to succeed current boss Timmy Simons. He said on X, in response to Rangers' statement: "He is free to sign for Westerlo, where he is the favourite to succeed Timmy Simons as head coach." Charai left Rangers full of thanks for the club. He told the club's official website: 'As I leave Rangers, I want to thank everyone at the club for their support during my time here. 'This is a really special club, and as it enters a new era, I want to wish everyone associated with the club the very best for what comes next. 'Above all, I want to thank the Rangers supporters for their amazing backing across the period. We had some high moments and some low moments, but their support was the constant. It is something I will always remember and be forever grateful for.' Rangers CEO praised Charai as he moves on, saying: 'Through the managerial transition in February and beyond, he handled himself superbly and was a real asset to Barry and his staff during their period in charge of the team. Rangers fans react to news Russell Martin is their new manager 'As the men's first-team moves forth into this new era under Russell, it has been agreed between the club and Issame for him to move on." With Matt Gill joining Martin at Ibrox as his assistant coach, it left Charai without a place in the set up which inevitably lead to his departure from the Light Blues. Russell Martin has a busy summer ahead of him, preparing his Rangers squad for Champions League qualifiers. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Luke Littler and Humphries booed then destroyed at Darts World Cup as MBE now stands for something else entirely
The World No.1 and World Champion went onto the Frankfurt contest having been handed given a Royal award England super duo Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have been hammered out of the Darts World Cup by buoyant Germany. The World No.1 and World Champion went onto the Frankfurt contest having been handed an MBE each on the eve of the match in the King's Birthday Honours List. However, Littler and Humphries received the Most Brutal Exit at the hands of Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietceczko in front of a fevered German crowd. The home pair were outstanding throughout the contest as they put the game's best pair to the sword and crashed them oput of the competition at the first hurdle. Schindler and Pietreczko had said that the English were not unbeatable and the pair were true to their words as they produced a seismic shock by a final 8-4 scoreline. In the initial stages, it was tight and locked at 2-2, but, suddenly, the Germans hit the burners as Littler and Humphries, who were heckled and whistled by the home crowds, began to make big mistakes and slip into error mode. England staged a mini-revival from 7-2 down to reduce the deficit to 7-4, but Pietreczjo stayed cool in the final hef to sink a smooth 62 and ensure the titans were toppled. Callum McGregor took fan fireworks fears direct to Celtic chiefs after Rangers clash
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IAN MAXWELL thinks that footballers in Scotland can help the football association in cracking down on fan behaviour issues. This comes as the chief joined the BBC Sportsound team on Saturday afternoon to address Scottish footballing issues. 2 Celtic fan with homemade rocket launcher at the 2022/23 Viaplay cup final 2 Ian Maxwell revealed that Callum McGregor, pictured here with Celtic chief Michael Nicholson, had spoken direct to the Celtic board over the matter Credit: SNS On the show, Maxwell said: "Rangers played Celtic at Hampden [in 2023] and there was a lot of fireworks. 'There was a video online and a guy had a rocket. They are finding ingenious ways to get these things into grounds. 'I spoke to the Celtic board after it and one of them said Callum McGregor had gone to them and said that was the first time the players had actually talked about something coming onto the pitch. 'At that point you go; 'I think we need to use the players'. 'The players are a fundamental part of trying to impact on that behaviour because with the best will in the world myself or Neil Doncaster or someone else saying 'go and not do that' just makes people want to do it. 'But if players are going to supporters and saying 'you are affecting our performance, you are getting in our heads, I'm worried when I'm taking a corner' then that is a positive message. 'The more we can use that player platform to spread that message and make people aware of the danger then the better. 'It's a player's place of work and it's not right they are taking a corner and there's all sorts raining down beside them.' There has been multiple fan incident's across the season. Most include pyrotechnic use, but we also saw Aberdeen defender Jack MacKenzie struck in the head by a chair from his own fans on the last day of the season. Shock moment Aberdeen star hit with seat thrown from own fans after rivals' pitch invasion Ticket reductions, and the threat of such action, is the route the governing body is taking to try and clamp down on these fan issues. Maxwell added: 'The ticket reduction is the next step. It's a fundamental step. 'We will see how that goes. Hopefully that has the impact. "If it doesn't and we need to look at something else, we will see what the options are at that point.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
