What happened on ‘Love Island USA' last night? What you missed from the season 7 premiere
Just got a text... "Love Island USA" is officially back for a seventh season, with the premiere hitting NBC's streaming platform Peacock last night, Tuesday, June 3. And this season brings a group of Floridians looking for love, or at least "like," in Fiji.
Although the episode was posted 44 minutes late, the premiere started off strong, with plenty of lip-locking, couple drama and even two bombshells entering the villa on the first night.
Here's what you missed on the first episode of "Love Island USA" season seven, who coupled up, which cast members are from Florida and how to watch the second episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4.

This season hit the ground running. Instead of "coupling up" based on looks and first impressions, the ladies made their choice of who to "couple up" with after choosing two guys to make out with first. Host (and Floridian) Ariana Madix explained these couples will not only be living together but will take part in challenges and share a bed, emphasizing the importance of chemistry.
However, the couples that formed on last night's episode most likely won't remain partnered up for the entire six weeks. Anyone has the chance to steal or couple up with other people's partners throughout the show.
There are five couples in total, including one with two Floridians:

This new season features four Floridian bombshells in the villa:
Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan (Living in Fort Lauderdale)
Chelley Bissainthe, 27, from Orlando
Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, from Jacksonville
Yulissa Escobar, 27, from Miami
Ace Greene, 25, Los Angeles
Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan
Belle-A Walker, 22, Honolulu
Chelley Bissainthe, 27, Orlando
Huda Mustafa, 24, Raleigh, North Carolina
Jeremiah Brown, 25, Los Angeles
Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, Jacksonville
Olandria Carthen, 27, Decatur, Alabama
Taylor Williams, 24, Oklahoma City
Yulissa Escobar, 27, Miami
The premiere episode featured some steamy make-outs, brand-new twists and the beginnings of major drama. Here's a quick recap of how the Floridians did on last night's episode:
Austin's first moments in the villa weren't too positive, as he was not chosen by any of the women during the couple shuffle and was coupled up with fellow Floridian Chelley, after her partner was stolen.
The Fort Lauderdale pool technician joked around about Chelley not initially choosing him after they kissed. He did admit that if it was his choice, he would've made out with Chelley and Belle-A.
Stealing her for a chat, Austin admitted he was very interested in Chelley. They discussed their expectations and what they were looking for in a partner. Later in the evening, the pair discussed living in Florida and all of the critters that call the state home.
During the final challenge of the episode, Austin did not kiss anyone. But he did receive a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega.
Not only was Chelley the first to arrive at the villa but she was also the first to choose which man she wanted to couple up with. But her first pick, Ace, was stolen by fellow Floridian Yulissa. Earlier in the episode, she shared she had already met Ace back in January outside of a club.
After she was coupled up with Austin, she said in a confessional that he was attractive, but stressed that it was only day one and she was keeping her options open. The following day, she shared that Ace was at the top of her list.
Chelley and Ace ended up chatting about their initial meeting and their attraction to one another. They both seemed open to exploring their relationship more, despite not being coupled up currently.
During the final challenge of the episode, Chelley kissed Ace and received a kiss from Ace, as well as from a new bombshell in the villa: George Georgiou.
After Nicolas was coupled up with Belle-A, they discussed her boundaries and why she opted for a kiss on the cheek rather than a make-out session. While she is a frontrunner for Nicolas, he said he would still try to mingle with the other ladies.
The following morning, he told Ace that him and Belle-A got more comfortable over the night. But he added that he also wanted to get to know Olandria, after they shared a kiss.
During the final challenge of the episode, Nicolas kissed Olandria. He also received a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega.
Yulissa ruffled some feathers after she stole Chelley's partner, Ace, during the couple shuffle. However, the two seemed to hit it off afterward when discussing their heritages and families. In a catch-up with the ladies later, she said she wasn't trying to be messy and felt she had to "do what (she has) to do."
The following day, she said she felt nervous around Ace but was ready to step outside her comfort zone.
During the final challenge of the episode, Yulissa did not kiss anyone else but received a kiss from new bombshell George Georgiou.
You can watch 'Love Island USA' live on Bravo and Peacock every day except for Wednesdays. However, there will still be an episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4, since it's premiere week.
You can stream new episodes the night they air on Peacock. A premium monthly plan costs $7.99 or $79.99 for one year. The premium plus plan, which is ad-free, costs $13.99 per month or $139.99 a year.

A "Love Island USA" franchise staple, the cast always carries around personalized white water bottles to stay hydrated. Fans can purchase their own on the Love Island website.
While "Love Island USA" is not exactly live, it is filmed in real-time with a delay of a day or two before it airs.
The winner of each season is the couple that gets the most viewer votes as the favorite couple in the villa.
During the finale, the winning couple with the most votes each get envelopes. One envelope has prize money and the other is empty. The person who gets the prize money can choose to keep it for themselves or split it with their partner.

Queens vs. schemes: Inside unscripted's Emmy battle royale
In 2024, the races for Best Competition Program and Best Reality Host were completely upended by a Scottish castle full of reality legends. Now for the juicy rematch: Will Peacock's The Traitors and host Alan Cumming scheme their way to the top again, or will RuPaul's Drag Race and host RuPaul Charles make a fierce Ru-turn to the stage? Drag Race is a five-time champion for series (2018-21, '23), while RuPaul has won the host category a record eight times (2016-23). For its recent 17th cycle, dubbed the "splashiest season in herstory," judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and cohorts searched for America's next drag superstar. A special twist allowed two lucky queens to stay in the competition, but only if they successfully threw a ball that dropped Visage into a dunk tank. More from GoldDerby Jay Duplass on exposing his 'dad bod' and playing a 'soft villain' in 'Dying for Sex': 'Easily one of my biggest acting challenges' 5 slots isn't enough: More limited series deserve a chance to compete with 'Adolescence' Laugh tracks: The state of the 2025 Emmy comedy race Onya Nurve won the season and the cash prize of $200,000, while Jewels Sparkles placed second. Both queens had America cheering all season long, especially in the Wicked-themed 'Rusical,' which required the contestants to sing, dance, and act on a moment's notice. "The drag gods watch over us," producer Tom Campbell tells Gold Derby about how it all came together so quickly. "It is a tireless, relentless pace ... we love the adrenaline." The Traitors aired its third season this year and went viral each week with its backstabbing and machinations. "It was absolutely the messiest group of Traitors we've had," executive producer Sam Rees-Jones tells us without hesitation, referring to Rob Mariano, Danielle Reyes, Carolyn Wiger, and Bob the Drag Queen, who turned on each other instead of the other competitors. "It was chaos in the turret, it really was." The competition was won by a record number of Faithfuls — Dylan Efron, Dolores Catania, Ivar Mountbatten, and Gabby Windey — who all trusted each other to the bitter end. Last year's Emmy-winning second cycle also saw a pair of Faithfuls claiming victory, which begs the question: Do Emmy voters prefer when good triumphs over evil? (In Season 1, a Traitor won the game and the show was snubbed in the top series race.) While RuPaul's Drag Race and The Traitors are out front, never count out The Amazing Race, which has a whopping 10 series Emmy wins to date. CBS' globe-trotter recently wrapped up Season 37 with professional gamers Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge claiming the $1 million prize, telling us, "It's like your life flashes before your eyes!" But, of course, what would a reality show be without a villain? Married parents Jonathan and Ana Towns, who placed third, struck a nerve with viewers for arguing repeatedly on camera. "You're going to see us fight,' they declared at the finish line, 'and that's just normal." This year, the big change for American Idol was the addition of Carrie Underwood, who went from Season 4 winner to Season 23 judge, sitting in between Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. "Carrie has followed the show since she was on it 20 years ago," says showrunner Megan Wolflick. "When the seat became available, what better Cinderella story is there than Carrie Underwood?" The season culminated in Jamal Roberts becoming the first Black man to win in 22 years, proclaiming to us: "I'm anointed!" Emmy voters who love an international flare might prefer to cozy up to Top Chef, which filmed Season 22 in Canada. The show experienced a culinary shake-up last year with the addition of new host Kristen Kish, the fan-favorite winner of Season 10. "The show itself is a completely well-oiled machine — they have everything taken care of," she confesses. "For me, if you compare it to the first and second years on the job, it feels more familiar and comfortable ... the joints are looser." Survivor recently concluded its 48th season on CBS and had fans screaming "Emmy!" for the scene in which Joe Hunter helped the autistic Eva Erickson through a high-pressure challenge. That was an example of going "inside the emotion," Jeff Probst says of the moment that caused him to break down in tears for the first time ever. While Probst has taken home four Emmys as host (2008-11), the show itself has yet to win the top Best Competition Program category, which was launched in 2003. ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Season 16 Reunion Seating Chart Revealed: Brit Eady & Kenya Moore Break Silence On Absence
Andy Cohen teased he was filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion early on Thursday, June 5. Later that day, Bravo released the cast seating chart, and two RHOA stars—Brit Eady and Kenya Moore—were missing. More from Deadline Paige DeSorbo Leaving Bravo's 'Summer House' After 7 Seasons 'Project Runway Canada' Adds Spencer Badu As Judge & Aurora James As Mentor 'Love Island USA': Yulissa Escobar Exits The Villa Amid Backlash Over Resurfaced Racist Comments Sitting next to Cohen were Porsha Williams on one side and Shamea Morton on the other side. Next to Williams was Phaedra Parks, followed by Cynthia Bailey. On the couch with Morton, Angela Oakley sat beside her, followed by Kelli Ferrell and Drew Sidora. Some fans were looking forward to Moore returning to the show after her abrupt exit following an incident with Eady. Early on in the season, cameras captured the moment Moore shared alleged explicit photos of Eady during the grand opening of her hair spa. Production suspended Moore as they investigated the incident, and the star soon exited the show. 'I'm disappointed to not be a part of the RHOA 16 reunion taping today,' Moore shared in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. 'Please know that I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.' Moore is one of the most recognizable stars of the RHOA franchise, and alongside Porsha Williams, was leading a new generation of peaches following an extended hiatus to retool the cast. Things didn't pan out that way as Williams found herself in the middle of this mess with Eady. On her part, Eady skipped filming the reunion altogether and made a revelation about the explicit photo Moore showed at her event. 'As everyone is now aware, I'm not attending the reunion. This was my decision,' she said in a post on Instagram Stories. 'The events of this season have devastated me, and while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me.' Eady notes that she did not attend the event and didn't see the photo Moore exposed in front of cameras, adding, 'Based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me — which is why I reacted in the way that I did.' 'I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,' she said. 'I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life.'
