Search for missing Scots pensioner who had plans to walk West Highland Way
James Campbell, 82, left his home in Broughty Ferry on Sunday at around 6pm.
Officers are appealing for help to trace an 82-year-old man from Broughty Ferry who has been reported missing.
James Campbell was last seen leaving his home around 6pm on Sunday, May 18, with plans to walk the West Highland Way. However, James' personal belongings were discovered at Mugdock Country Park, near Milngavie, on the morning of Monday, 19 May, prompting concerns for his safety.
He has not been seen since leaving his home but he is believed to be travelling using his car - a blue Honda Jazz, registration SP62 XAX - which was subsequently seen on the A7 Old Dalkeith Road near to Danderhall in Midlothian shortly after 2.40pm on Monday, May 19.

James is described as white, 5ft 4in tall and of stocky build with grey or white hair and a beard.
He was last known to be wearing a blue fleece and trousers. He may have been carrying a black rucksack.
Inspector Phil McIntosh said: "We are working to establish James's movements since he left home and would urge anyone who may have seen him or his car at any time since Sunday evening to get in touch urgently.
"Anyone who thinks they may be able to help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0823 of 19 May, 2025."

There were no injuries and there was no threat to the wider public. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "All roads have now reopened following an earlier incident in Glasgow city centre. "Around 4.45am on Saturday, June 7, 2025, we were called to a report of a man causing a disturbance on Kent Road near St Vincent Street. "A number of nearby roads were closed while officers dealt with the incident. "There were no injuries and there was no threat to the wider public. "A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing. "Members of the public are thanked for their patience."

The family of Cole Cooper have cancelled an upcoming search as a body has been discovered in the hunt for the missing teenager. The 19-year-old's loved ones were made aware of the discovery in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock, Falkirk, at around 4.15pm on Friday. Formal identification has yet to take place. A grand-scale search was due to take place for Cole on Sunday, however, the event has since been cancelled. A statement from a family friend online reads: "I've been asked to inform everyone that the search on Sunday, June 8 is cancelled. The family appreciate everyone's continued help, please share to inform everyone who was due to attend the search tomorrow. "Comments will remain off at the moment and the family will update the page as soon as they can." Cole, from Banknock, Cole was last seen on May 7 on the A803 near Cumbernauld Road in Longcroft, when he asked a school friend for a lift, which he was not given. Prior to that, he was captured on alarming ring doorbell footage on the morning of Sunday, May 4 at around 6am in the Longcroft area. He was filmed trying to access his father's house unsuccessfully. He was reported missing on Friday, May 9. The grim discovery was made just a 15 minutes walk away from the last confirmed sighting of the teenager. Police say inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing Meanwhile, a temporary airspace restriction ahead of where the body was discovered is in place. The restriction, which includes drones, will be in place until 9pm on Saturday. A statement from Police Scotland read: "Around 4.15pm on Friday, 6 June, 2025, the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock. "Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of missing man Cole Cooper, 19, has been informed. Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances." More than 400 people were spoken to during door-to-door inquiries, while over 2,000 hours of CCTV were reviewed. Police previously treated the case as a missing person investigation rather than a criminal inquiry. Three people rushed to hospital after horror motorbike crash on Highland road
Emergency services raced to the A832, near Dundonnell, after the alarm was raised at around 11am on Thursday. Three people have been rushed to hospital after two motorbikes collided in a horror crash in the Highlands. Emergency services raced to the A832, near Dundonnell, after the alarm was raised at around 11am on Thursday, June 5. Officers were responding to reports of a crash involving a Kawasaki motorbike and a BMW motorbike. Ambulance crews attended and the 51-year-old male rider of the Kawasaki, the 56-year-old male rider of the BMW and his 64-year-old female passenger were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment. The condition of the three currently remains unknown. Sergeant Douglas Scott said: 'Our enquiries are continuing into this crash and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to contact us. 'I would also ask any drivers on the road with dashcam from around the time of the crash to review their footage and please contact us if it holds anything relevant.
