‘Please stay away from me' – Alexander Zverev swipes at Taylor Fritz in X-rated rant after Stuttgart Open final

The German, 28, has struggled against the American over the last 12 months.

Fritz, 27, endured an awful clay court season, winning just three matches in four events amid physical struggles.
But he has appeared to be a man revitalised on the grass of Stuttgart this week, beating Quentin Halys, Marton Fucsovics, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Zverev to lift the title.
Fritz's 6-3 7-6 triumph in the final was his fifth in a row against Zverev during the last year.
In his runner-up speech during the trophy ceremony, spiky Zverev joked: "Last but not least, Taylor, I'm f***ing tired of you.
'I don't wanna see you again over the next two to three years. Please stay away from me. Don't come to Germany anymore.
"No, well done you deserve to win this title.
"You are one of the best players in the world on this surface and you were much better than me today, so congrats to the whole team and I'm sure you are going to do incredible on the next two tournaments on grass, so well done."
Fritz smiled sheepishly while sat in his chair during Zverev's speech.

After the match, the US Open runner-up posted on X: "what is Clay ?"
Following his defeat to Fritz at Wimbledon last year, 6ft 6in Zverev complained about a member of his opponent's player box, thought to be girlfriend Morgan Riddle.
During his post-match press conference, the three-time Grand Slam runner-up huffed: "His team is extremely respectful. I think his coach, his physio and also his second coach were extremely respectful.
"But I think there are some other people that, maybe, are in the box that are not, maybe from the tennis world and are not, maybe, particularly watching every match.
"They were a bit over the top but that's okay. No issues, no drama. He fought back from two sets to love so they are obviously all excited, very pumped up.
"But no issues with Taylor. I think Taylor is a great guy and I have no issues with him."
At the time, Morgan shared an Instagram reel toasting and sipping her drink in a white dress and navy jacket, captioned: "When your man wins for the girls."
Fritz has since beaten Zverev at the US Open, Laver Cup and ATP Finals.
The former Wimbledon quarter-finalist is set to be in action in London next week.
Fritz will head to the Queen's Club to play in the HSBC Championships, and has drawn Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the first round.

Horse racing tips: Monday, June 16
On the eve of Royal Ascot there are five fixtures across the UK and Ireland, and our attention is focused on a decent evening card at Windsor, where our expert tipster's three picks include a NAP. Ron Wood's selections: Odds provided by William Hill and correct at the time of writing. Stars denote strength of selection (max 5). If you already have a William Hill account and are looking for a new bookmaker to use for this week's racing, check out more free bets from the best betting sites, reviewed by our experts. 6.00 Windsor – Class 5 Handicap (5f) BRETTON WOOD didn't live up to his exceptional pedigree last year – he's by Frankel out of Group 1 winner Pretty Pollyanna – and he was sold for 13,000gns by his previous connections in September. However, he shaped reasonably well when making his stable debut for Robert Cowell on his seasonal reappearance at Lingfield, showing plenty of speed and finishing third. If he builds on that – and there is a fair chance that he will – he has to be going well. Selection: Bretton Wood @ 11/4 with William Hill Go to site > 7.30 Windsor – Class 3 Handicap (6f) DURHAM CASTLE (NAP) won twice last year and this big, lightly raced sprinter has further improvement in him. Although finishing only in midfield at Haydock on his reappearance, he had an unfavourable track position from what turned out to be an unhelpful draw that day and he should do better now. Selection: Durham Castle @ 6/4 with William Hill 8.30 Windsor – Class 4 Handicap (1m) THYER (NB) came up a bit short when selected on these pages at Nottingham last time, but that wasn't a bad run and he appeals as worth sticking with. He had gone close behind a well-handicapped rival at Nottingham the time before and he won over course and distance last season. Rossa Ryan taking over in the saddle is a positive and the faster ground is in his favour as well. Jakob Ingebrigtsen's father found guilty of hitting daughter
The father of Jakob Ingebrigtsen has been found guilty of hitting his younger sister with a wet towel but has been cleared of abusing Norway's double Olympic champion. Gjert Ingebrigtsen, 59, has been given a suspended 15-day prison sentence for whipping Ingebrigtsen's sister, Ingrid, in the face with a towel but was acquitted of all other charges after a trial in Norway. Gjert, who coached Jakob at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics before they split, had been accused of enforcing a regime of 'physical and verbal abuse' during their upbringing. Jakob, the 5000m Olympic champion and one of the biggest stars in track and field, told the court that he been a victim of domestic violence and said he had been punched and kicked by him. The court found there was insufficient evidence and ruled there was insufficient evidence of Jakob's claims, but found Gjert of hitting Ingrid, who is now 19, in the face with a towel in 2022. Ingrid, who quit athletics and left the family home aged 15, was awarded compensation of 10,000 kroner (£745) after prosecutors had called for Gjert to be handed a two-and-a-half year sentence. Gjert had denied all allegations of violence and abuse but accepted that he had been demanding in his coaching and admitted to once throwing a PlayStation out of a window. Gjert's intense training methods were the subject of the popular documentary Team Ingebrigtsen, which shone a light on the family's almost cult-like obsession with sporting excellence, with the children put on strict professionalised training programmes at a young age. Jakob's older brothers, Henrik and Filip, are also professional athletes, and in October 2023, the trio published a joint letter in Norwegian outlet VG, spelling out the behaviour of their father. Jakob, 24, told the court about several incidents of violence. Prosecutors alleged Gjert struck Jakob several times after he received a negative report about his behaviour from school when he was eight. He was also accused of kicking Jakob in the stomach after he had been playing in the street on a scooter. Gjert coached his three sons until 2022, helping Jakob to secure his first Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 in the 1500m as he forged a glittering career as one of the world's leading athletes. After the split, Jakob added 5000m success at Paris 2024 along with a large collection of other global medals.
