Cyan Racing's latest P1800 GT commission has landed, and it debuts several new features to add more 'versatility' to what was already a stunning restomod. They include redesigned alloys, a different exhaust and a few bespoke touches to the cabin.
The beige body sits on colour-matched 17in centre-lock wheels, which feature a silver outer ring and complement all the other chrome bits - the grille, headlight surrounds and so on - rather well.

Next up is the exhaust, which still adopts a central position but gets two tailpipes instead of one. It's adjoined to a 414bhp 2.0-litre turbo-four mated to a five-speed Holinger manual. Considering the whole car weighs around a tonne and sends its power rearward, it should be a good laugh when you're not grand tourin'.
But when you are, and since this is the softer GT model, Cyan has tweaked the damper and differential setup to be more plush than its track-focused original. Furthered by a less intensive roll cage and increased use of sound deadening, it is a proper continental blaster.
The cabin is wrapped in a leather/fabric sand finish, with a swathe of vintage switchgear and a chonky steering wheel. The material used for the centre console and flooring looks like it comes from a mid-Nineteenth-century sofa, which is no complaint - we think it helps lean into the retro theme perfectly.
Production of the Cyan P1800 is now in full swing, and if you want one, you'll need to send a Volvo P1800 donor car in, wait 12-15 months, and have a cheque ready for around £440k when everything's said and done.

A CLEVER upgrade to cars across the world will let you watch video on your motor's built-in screen. It's all thanks to a new update to Apple CarPlay, which is in millions of cars globally – and unsurprisingly, there's a big catch. 7 7 The feature will only work if you're parked. That's to prevent drivers from catching up on Love Island on the M25 – a dangerous combination. With CarPlay, your iPhone takes over your car's screen, giving you access to your apps, music, contacts and more. And with the iOS 26 update for iPhone later this year, you'll be able to beam video from your mobile to your car's display. This works through the same AirPlay feature that lets you stream iPhone video to your telly. So you could play a video that was saved to your Photos app. Or you could use one of the many TV apps that support AirPlay to easily stream content to your Apple CarPlay monitor in your car. That includes Apple TV+ and YouTube – or any other app that offers CarPlay. "AirPlay video in the car enables people to watch their favourite videos from iPhone right on their CarPlay display when they aren't driving," Apple explains. The other catch is that your carmaker will need to switch the feature on. Apples's big announcements from WWDC with a flurry new features for the gadgets you already own CarPlay is managed by Apple, but your car provider still needs to activate the new ability to watch TV. And it won't go live until at least September, when we're expecting iOS 26 to roll out to millions of iPhone models as a free update. But plenty of cars support CarPlay. CarPlay launched back in 2014, and more than 800 models of motor across 40 brands now support it. 7 7 Apple recently revealed that it's used more than 600 million times a day. Joz continued: 'CarPlay is this beautiful ability to use the features of your phone. 7 'We wanted to have an experience with CarPlay Ultra that allows you – through that same interface that you can control your phone – to also control the aspects of your car 'Whether it's the seat heaters or the heating system in general, or even the car radio. Some of the first vehicles started coming out last month. Warning to anyone towing a caravan this summer over ‘illegal' mistake that could land you with £1,000 fine
CARAVAN owners have been warned they could face a £1000 fine for not towing their trailers properly. Summer is now upon us, and Brits up and down the country are likely making plans to take their caravans out for a spin. 1 However, the DVSA urged motorists to book safety checks before setting off on holiday, to avoid fines. "Planning a caravan trip soon? Book a safety check to make sure it's safe!" the road safety agency said in a social media post. The DVSA then provided a link to a directory of free trailer safety checks across the UK. Safety checks are incredibly important as they test whether caravans are roadworthy before they head out on long journeys. The checks can identify issues with tyres, breaks and other components that could lead to issues on the road. One rule that motorists must stick to is to ensure that they have towing mirrors which allow clear visibility of an area four metres wide from the side of the caravan, at a distance of 20 metres behind the driver. Anyone caught towing a caravan without the proper mirrors will be slapped with a fine of up to £1000 and three points on their licence. Regular maintenance of caravans is of vital importance, due to the challenges of towing, including risks of snaking and pitching. Snaking is when caravans sway from side to side and pitching refers to the front of the caravan moving up and down. Both of these conditions can be dangerous, so its best to get regular checks even if your caravan is equipped with stabilisers to reduce this problem. Drivers who passed their test before Janurary 1, 1997 can usually drive a vehicle and trailer combination up to 8,250kg Maximum Authorised Mass. Those who gained a licence after January 1, 1997 can tow trailers weighing up to 3,500kg. Your vehicle should have a maximum towing capacity listed in the handbook or specification sheet. WHEN I was a child, my mum used to collect the £9.50 holiday vouchers in The Sun. She'd use them to book a couple of nights away at a caravan park during the school holidays. As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday. No faffing about with passports, no luggage limits and no bog-standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and grey eggs. I still love caravan holidays as an adult. In a world of doing everything for the 'gram, a caravan park brings you back to basics. There's no obligation to get dressed up, no stress to fit a million picturesque excursions in one week and I don't find myself flustered in tourist hot spots like abroad. I love going to coastal caravan parks and strolling along the beach parade. My highlight is always fresh mussels, ice-creams and classic pubs to grab an afternoon tipple in. And then, of course, there's the cost. Staying in a caravan is definitely way cheaper than my international trips. With no expensive hotel bills and the ability to cook my own meals, I'm spending hundreds less than I would abroad. I've had some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I'll buy my own one day. Motorists towing caravans must also drive at a maximum speed of 50mph on a single carriageway or 60mph on a dual carriageway or motorway, unless a lower limit is enforced. Caravan owners are also banned from having passengers inside the caravan whilst it is being towed. Additionally, the caravan's number plate must display its registration number, and has to be lit up at night time. If you are a caravan newbie, or are keen for a refresher, the Camping and Caravanning Club offers a two-day course, teaching motorists essential skills. During the course, drivers can use Club caravans to practice their skills under supervision.
