Police looking for hit-and-run driver who ‘went airborne' in Newaygo County
MERRILL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened over the holiday weekend.
The single-car crash happened Saturday near the intersection of West 11 Mile Road and North Woodbridge Road.
The caller told dispatchers that the driver, a 'younger white male,' drifted off of the road, hit a driveway, went airborne and struck a support line for a power pole.
After the car came to rest, the driver got out to apparently investigate the damage, which included a flat tire, then drove off. Investigators believe the vehicle is a white Chevy Impala that has chrome and black plastic rim covers. One of the rims was recovered at the scene.

Teen pedestrian struck by vehicle in Waterbury, non-life-threatening injuries reported
