Housemaid among three arrested for theft in Seeb
Muscat: The Police Command in the Governorate of Muscat has arrested a Filipina housemaid along with two Pakistani nationals for attempting to steal jewellery and large sums of money from a house in the Wilayat of Al Seeb.
According to a statement issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the suspects were caught in possession of stolen gold items and cash during the operation.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway.
The Royal Oman Police urged residents to remain cautious and to report any suspicious activity, reaffirming their ongoing efforts to safeguard communities across the Sultanate.

ROP said in a statement :"Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Taskforce Police Command, arrested three individuals, including a citizen and two Egyptian nationals, on charges of human trafficking." Meanwhile, the ROP arrested 21 Egyptian women, ten Iranian women, eight Pakistani women, four Thai women, two Uzbek women, and two Moroccan women were arrested for engaging in acts contrary to public morals and decency. Legal procedures are being completed.

Interpol assists Oman in extraditing Yemeni fraud suspect
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Research, in cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), has successfully repatriated a Yemeni national accused of multiple financial crimes. The suspect had fled the country after allegedly committing several offences, including embezzlement and money laundering, during his employment at a commercial company in Oman. Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are being completed against the individual.
