Kevin de Bruyne misses five-yard sitter and smashes crossbar on last ever Man City game at Etihad Stadium
KEVIN DE BRUYNE missed the possibly the easiest chance he's ever had as he played his final game for Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne, who is leaving City on the expiration of his deal this summer, rattled the crossbar from inside the six-yard box during Man City's clash with Bournemouth.

How Chelsea's £30million transfer signing Liam Delap can reinvigorate ex-Man City pal Cole Palmer in Blues masterplan
CHELSEA are ready to rock and roll thanks to Liam and Cole. Blues 'brothers' Liam Delap and Cole Palmer were made in Manchester, at City's academy, but have been reunited at Stamford Bridge. 4 Liam Delap (left) and Cole Palmer celebrate a goal for Manchester City's academy side Credit: Alamy 4 Delap has joined Palmer at Chelsea for £30million Credit: Getty And He can reinvigorate They will even be side by side with shirt numbers - When the Blues signed Palmer, 23, for £42.5m, in what now looks like a cut-price deal, not many knew the talent that they had on their hands - but anyone who had watched City's youth sides knew, including the club's former academy coach READ MORE IN FOOTBALL Delap, 22, can play a vital role for the Blues - he's electric with his pace, direct running and movement. He starred alongside But it will also improve Palmer, who tailed off last season despite netting 15 Prem goals. It might seem like it's half the world away, but in one City Under-21 game against Spurs, they ran out 6-1 winners with Delap hitting a hat-trick, Palmer scoring twice and Lavia netting the other. Most read in Football Delap and Palmer wasn't always a Harry Kane and Son Heung-min partnership where both would rack up huge goal contribution numbers - though that did happen enough. It was more about Delap's movement and interplay allowing Palmer to be even more dangerous and get into the box with more ease. 'To do what-' - Cole Palmer left confused as he's asked to name his Premier League Mount Rushmore We've seen in games this season that because Palmer has been a lone threat at times, he can be doubled up on and nullified - but with Delap in the side that becomes much more difficult. In City's youth team, Palmer, Felix Nmecha and Samuel Edozie benefited from Delap's movement, as he would occupy the centre backs and allow Nmecha and Palmer to get shots off inside the box. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS In Manchester, Maresca knew how to get the best out of Delap by giving him the same kind of freedom Nicolas Jackson has been given up front, as he could drift wide or drop deep on the premise that when needed he would be in the right place at the right time to get the finishing touch. When you add the incoming Estevao Willian to that mix, as well as the ever-improving Noni Madueke and Enzo Fernandez - some might say they will be unstoppable. 4 4 It will be interesting to see how the Blues go at the Club World Cup in America, which will hardly be an Oasis of calm. They will hope Liam and Cole have more success in the USA than Liam and Noel. Join SUN CLUB for the Chelsea Files every Tuesday plus in-depth coverage and exclusives from Stamford Bridge

Pep Guardiola dreams of World Cup glory but has no plans to leave City anytime soon
Pep Guardiola has no plans to leave Manchester City anytime soon but the Spaniard has often thought about what it would be like to guide an international team and says he would love to take on the challenge of a World Cup or Euros campaign. "I would love to be in a World Cup, in a Euro, a Copa America," Guardiola told Reuters in an exclusive interview. "I have always thought about it. But it depends on many, many things. If it happens, it's fine. If it doesn't happen, it's more than fine as well." After winning 12 domestic top-flight titles across Spain, Germany and England, Guardiola endured a trophyless campaign with City last season, a shock to the system after so much success. While he came in for some stinging criticism over his elite squad's failure on all fronts, Guardiola said he was not interested in "proving the haters wrong" when City start afresh next season. "It's to prove myself that I can do it, I don't want to have those feeling that last season left" he added. "Because when we win, the wine tastes better afterwards, you sleep better. I don't know a manager who loses games and sleeps like a baby. It doesn't happen. You've got to worry. That's part of our life." Top of Guardiola's 'to-do list' is to win another Champions League with City and should they cross paths once more with Real Madrid, his nemesis Carlo Ancelotti will not be in the opposing dugout after the Italian took charge of Brazil. Mere mention of Ancelotti's departure was enough to put a smile on Guardiola's lips. The pair faced each other five times in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, with the Italian coming out on top in all but one. "I'm so happy for him," Guardiola said. "But I'm so happy that he's not in Madrid anymore because all the time he beats me. That I don't have to handle it anymore." The Spaniard added that it was unrealistic to expect him to win everything every year, and said that even the most successful athletes lose more than they win. "I won 12 domestic leagues in 16 years. It's not bad, I would say. But you cannot win all the time. I cannot win the Champions League all the time," he added. "Michael Jordan, the best athlete I've ever seen in my life won six NBA Championships in 15 years. Tiger Woods, one incredible golf player, Jack Nicklaus, I don't know how many he has. But they lost more Grand Slams than they won. It happens." Enjoying a short holiday in Barcelona, Guardiola said he is just trying to live a "normal life" before football pulls him back in, with City set to play in the revamped Club World Cup in the United States. "Wake up later and don't be with the players. Try to live what would be a normal life," Guardiola said. "Go to a concert, lay down on the sofa, read books. I can play golf when my body allows me. Watch series that people suggest to me during the season to watch, like I'm not able to do.
