In the first Test at Sylhet, Miraz showcased his bowling prowess with consecutive five-wicket hauls. He secured figures of 5/52 in the first innings and 5/50 in the second innings, although Zimbabwe managed to secure a three-wicket victory despite his efforts.

The second Test in Chattogram proved to be particularly memorable for Miraz. He contributed significantly with both bat and ball, scoring 104 runs off 162 balls in Bangladesh's first innings.
His batting performance was complemented by another five-wicket haul in Zimbabwe's second innings, where he recorded figures of 5/32. This all-round performance helped Bangladesh level the series with a commanding victory by an innings and 106 runs.
Miraz's exceptional performance in the World Cup 2023 against Afghanistan had previously earned him the Player of the Match award, demonstrating his consistency across different formats and competitions.

A day after 11 stampede deaths in Bengaluru during the celebration of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's victory in the IPL final, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand took to social media to post a 'what if' scenario. The trigger was the frenzied celebrations late into the night across parts of Hyderabad as soon as the RCB won the match. Large crowds gathered on the NTR Marg stretch, Tank Bund, and Necklace Road, prompting a swift police response after the situation turned chaotic. 'What if there were some deaths in Hyderabad too? Can anyone expect celebrations for RCB in Hyderabad city?' wrote Mr. Anand on X (formerly Twitter). Watching and hearing about the stampede in Bangalore made me wonder where we are going ! This is not a national team winning the World Cup ! It's a mere franchise called RCB which works on commercial lines and does not have a single Hyderabad player in it !?
