This country has no hospital, no child is born since..., the country is...

This country has no hospital, no child is born since..., the country is... No hospital in a country? Is it even real? But there is a country which has no hospitals, but not for the reasons you might think. The country we are talking about is the Vatican City, the epicenter of Christianity and the world's smallest country. This country came into existence in the year 1929. The home of the Roman Catholic Church, and the proverbial Mecca of Catholicism, Vatican City does not have a single hospital within its national boundaries, and more surprisingly, no child has reportedly been born in this tiny city state for almost 96 years. This country is the main home of the Roman Catholic Church and is considered as the smallest country in the world. When someone falls ill in this country, people here go to Rome for treatment. Shockingly, not a single child has been born in the last 96 years due to the lack of a maternity ward. According to reports, the Vatican City, which was officially carved out as an independent sovereign nation February 11, 1929, has not had a single childbirth since the country was formed. Why Vatican City has no hospitals? The Vatican City is the home of the Pope, as well as other major religious leaders and priests of the Roman Catholic Church, and while multiple requests for building a hospital in the city state were raised since its formation, they were all turned down. Luckily though, Vatican City lies in middle of Rome, the capital city of Italy, and whenever there is a situation where someone needs hospital care, they are taken to the Italian capital.

Cong will defend Christians against attacks: Satheesan

Kochi: Christian priests in Odisha were attacked by the same people who visit homes in Kerala with cakes during Christmas and Easter. The Congress will put up a defence in places where Christians are being attacked on a regular basis, opposition leader V D Satheesan told reporters in Kochi on Sunday after visiting the priests who were attacked in Odisha. He said shocking details about the attack in Odisha were revealed by the Catholic priests from Kerala. A large group broke open doors, brutally assaulted the priest, looted belongings, and even viciously attacked a 90-year-old priest, Satheesan said. "Fr Leenus was tied up and beaten before being locked in a room. Fr Silvi was also beaten after being tied up. After an hour and a half, the priests tried to untie themselves and open the door but in vain. It was a nearby temple priest who heard the noise and rescued them," Satheesan said. This is not an isolated incident. Widespread attacks are occurring in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Ahmedabad, and Chhattisgarh, he added. The govt has reportedly instructed looters to target all Christian institutions within two months, Satheesan said. Police have taken a stance that nothing can be done even if complaints are filed. "Priests are being attacked by Bajrang Dal activists and organizations connected to Sangh Parivar. Nationwide attacks against Christians are increasing. The bishop of Jabalpur stated that attacks are happening every day. Even nuns on tourist visits are being attacked under the pretext of religious conversion," Satheesan said. Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden, Ernakulam MLA T J Vinod and DCC president Muhammed Shiyas accompanied Satheesan while visiting the priests at a private hospital in Kochi.

Did Donald Trump cancel Pride Month 2025? Truth behind viral video

A deepfake video doing the rounds on social media shows President Donald Trump saying Pride Month 2025 has been cancelled. However, in reality, Trump has not issued any such orders, USA Today reported. A now-viral video on X shows Trump in the Oval Office saying, "It is with great pleasure that I am announcing that Pride Month is canceled. Pride is a sin ... instead June will be known as confidence month or maybe just June." The fake avatar of the president then makes crude commentary about gay sex that might come across as homophobic. At the end of the video, text on the screen reads, 'This is a deepfake, but let people dream.' The video is not genuine and Trump has not made any such announcement. A community note below the video says, 'Digitally altered video. In the original video Trump is delivering an Easter celebration message'. Here's the original video: The fake video wascreated by an account named Maverick Alexander with 40,000 followers. The account's bio says "mostly satire." Pride Month is observed throughout June with the aim to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in 1969. It also celebrates he LGBTQ+ community and highlights their battle for rights. Notably, the Trump administration, the National Park Service in February removed all mentions of "transgender" from the website for the Stonewall National Monument. This was done even though transgender activists have been central to the uprisings. After taking office, Trump went on to ban transgender women in sports, transgender troops in the military, and limit federal recognition to two genders – biologically female and biologically male. Trump has taken aim at diversity, equity and inclusion too, and prompted corporations to stop recognizing Pride Month. Pride parades in the United States often receive corporate sponsorship. However, this year under Trump, some of these ended up getting jeopardized.
