How to skip ‘AI Overviews' on Google Search with this simple trick for clean results
Google's AI Overviews are often an unreliable mix of outdated or incorrect information. Although they can sometimes be helpful, they usually don't offer the results you're looking for. For those who miss the days when search results were purely a list of links, there's good news: Google now allows you to get just those links, without any AI summaries or answers.

With a small tweak to your settings, you can quickly switch back to a more traditional Google search. This setting will filter out AI-generated content and will provide you with just the basic text-based links. The best part? You can set it up in your browser and even trigger this new search filter directly from the address bar.
Furthermore, to avoid clicking the Web filter every time, you can change your browser's default search behaviour. The key is using a specific URL that includes the filter:https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14
In this link, %s stands for the search term, while udm=14 activates the Web filter.

To make this your default, click the three-dot menu next to the new site search and select Make default.

YouTube down: Thousands globally facing issues with streaming videos
Thousands of users globally are currently experiencing issues with YouTube. Users have reported facing issues with loading videos from both the app and website. The problem is reportedly affecting streaming videos via both the YouTube app and website. In the US, over 5,000 reports concerning the platform's accessibility were registered on Downdetector. Meanwhile, in the UK and India, over 1800 and 360 users have raised complaints with YouTube, respectively. The majority of these reports specifically cited issues with video streaming on the website. How the YouTube outage is affecting users In the US, 79% and 3% of users complained facing issues with the website and the app, respectively. 18% of users reported problems with streaming videos on the platform. In the UK, 78% and 2% of users faced problems with the YouTube website and app, respectively, while 20% raised issues about being unable to stream videos on the platform. Meanwhile, in India, 68% and 5% of YouTube users faced issues with the website and the app, respectively, while 27% faced problems with streaming videos. A map on Downdetector also showed that the latest YouTube outage is affecting users all across the US, UK and India. Samsung to start deleting inactive accounts soon: Here's how to stop it
Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, has decided to permanently delete all accounts that have been inactive for 24 months as a new move to ensure better data protection. Emails are being sent out to the IDs associated with users' Samsung accounts with a personalized date mentioned on each of them. If the user fails to take any action by the specified date, their account and all data associated with it will be permanently deleted by the company. This new 'inactive Samsung account policy' is aimed at preventing the personal data of users from being tampered with due to prolonged periods of inactivity which could increase risks of leakage. Data from your Google Account will still be secure since that is completely separate from a Samsung account. 'As per our service's policy, your data in Samsung Cloud including data stored in Smart TV, Family Hub, and Galaxy Wearable will be deleted,' the email reads. All such warning messages to intimate customers about this move will be sent before July 31. Since Samsung accounts are required to access any Galaxy device, it's fairly staple for all customers of the company to have one. If you wish to protect your data from being erased, simply log in to your account using a Galaxy device once again to inform the system that you are still an active user and wish to continue with your previous account. If you fail to do so by the date mentioned in your warning email, the company will consider that you no longer wish to receive the data stored on your previous account and delete all such material. Make sure you are still logged into the email associated with your Samsung account, otherwise you may never receive the warning mail. For those using a secondary Samsung account, the same procedure applies. If you switched to another mobile brand but wish to keep your hold account intact, make sure you log into it once before the assigned deadline.
