Music in Hospitals & Care helping Carmarthen Breakthro'
Music in Hospitals & Care is marking Learning Disability Week by celebrating its ongoing work at Carmarthen Breakthro', a centre for children with physical and learning disabilities.
Since 2023, the UK-based charity has been delivering inclusive live music sessions at the centre, supporting children aged four to 18.
Emyr Baynon, coordinator at Carmarthen Breakthro', said: "The live music offers the children an opportunity to get involved and have lots of fun.
"Chris and Holly really do appreciate the needs of the children… even if someone prefers to just sit and listen, they respect that."
Musicians Chris Knibbs and Holly Robinson tailor each session to the children's needs and energy levels, making the experience both engaging and accessible.
Mr Knibbs, a retired primary school teacher, said: "For a young group like this, we increase the speed of the music.
"They've got loads of energy and they want to use it."
The sessions are often the children's first experience of live music in a care setting.
Chloe Baker, live music coordinator for Music in Hospitals & Care in Wales, said: "The beautiful connection between the children and the staff—trust, laughter, shared moments—is enhanced through live music.
"Whether the children dance, clap, or simply soak it all in, music helps create a shared space where everyone feels valued."
Music in Hospitals & Care is a UK charity dedicated to improving health and wellbeing through live music.

Tevez 'my favourite strike partner'
"Most defenders we played against hated playing against the two of us."Those are the words of Wayne Rooney, reflecting on his time playing alongside Carlos Tevez in a special episode of the Football Daily podcast about the divisive Argentine spent two trophy-laden years at Old Trafford, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Carabao Cup and the Club World Cup."When Carlos joined Manchester United, there was a lot of talk about whether Carlos and I could play up front together," said Rooney. "I was really excited when we signed him."We were similar in ways how we played - both worked hard and could both play as a nine, both play off the forward as well."We had a really good understanding and chemistry on the pitch, off the pitch."I used to pick him up to take him to the airport before Champions League games. It was interesting actually because we couldn't really have a conversation. I think his English was better than he let on."He's a player you'd always want on your team and he scored some great goals for us, at big moments for us as well. Two years at Manchester United - two league titles, the Champions League... he was a massive part of that."I think Carlos was my favourite strike partner to play alongside."Most defenders we played actually hated playing against the two of us and we could feel that. We knew we were nasty as well."Very instinctive, intense, off the cuff. Anything could happen at any moment." Tevez's time at Old Trafford ended in controversy, with a move to city rivals Manchester City and the iconic 'Welcome to Manchester' billboard that followed."When Carlos moved to Man City, I was gutted to be honest and I'm pretty sure Carlos wanted to stay at Manchester United," Rooney added."At the time, City were trying to build, become competitive and win titles. I knew that he'd be a massive part of that because of the ability he has and I think we saw that when he went there."He had some great times at Manchester City so I was devastated. I would have really liked for him to stay longer and to continue to play together."Listen to the full podcast here

Who is Love Island bombshell Caprice Alexandra?
A QUARTET of bombshells has landed in the famous villa, with the impact already being felt by the OGs. Among them is Caprice Alexandra — here's everything we know about her. 3 Who is Caprice Alexandra? Caprice Alexandra is a 26-year-old nursery owner from Romford, who entered Love Island on June 23, 2025. She describes herself as "high maintenance" and is happy to be that way. Caprice says she is "very particular about everything" and embraces her personality fully. She won't hesitate when it comes to breaking up a couple if necessary, saying: "It's going to come naturally. I take no prisoners." Her main goal on the show is to find a serious, mature relationship — or possibly even "a ring". Caprice said: "The streets are cold. The next person I bring home needs to be my husband." She's looking for what she describes as "'90s era love", adding: "A lot of men are quite sassy in this generation. I just want someone that's going to treat me well.' Caprice's dream man would be "obsessed" with her — he would also be "a good listener and funny". And on how she'll behave , Caprice plans to just be herself on Love Island, which "could be really chilled and cool, calm and collected, or really funny and outgoing". Caprice appears to be another travel bunny — her Instagram is filled with curvy bikini snaps from destinations including Mauritius and Morocco. Naomi Campbell praises Miley Cyrus for her 'graciousness with fans' after being accused of being rude to people who had come to their album signing
Naomi Campbell defended Miley Cyrus as being 'gracious' with her fans after the pair were accused of being rude at an album signing in London this week. The supermodel, 55, and the singer, 32, held a fan signing event to celebrate the release of Miley's single, Every Girl You've Ever Loved. However, after meeting the famous duo, many fans accused them of being 'rude' and only holding a 'meet and greet with each other'. Naomi seemed to have a very different version of events according to a new Instagram post, where she praised Miley for her interactions with fans. Alongside a series of photos from the night, she said: '@mileycyrus what a fun a fun signing. Thank you for having me by your side to celebrate the Every Girl You've Ever Loved vinyl release in London. 'What a joy to spend the night with you in my hometown— your energy is infectious, your memory and graciousness is unreal with our fans , you had me laughing all night. Naomi went on to express that she 'loved' meeting all of the people who came out to the event, despite reports that they were cold and uninterested. She said: 'To everyone who came out to the signing: thank you. We felt your love and adored meeting you. If you couldn't make it, the vinyl is available now— SHOW US YOUR POSES THIS SUMMER! Shortly after the event, Miley and Naomi were slammed for 'ignoring their fans' while signing vinyls for their collaboration as part of Miley's new single, for the singer's Something Beautiful film. Fans lined up at record store Rough Trade to meet them, but many of them took to social media to share their disappointing experience being 'ignored' by the stars. In fan-taken footage of the fan event, the pop star chatted animatedly with Naomi, while also signing vinyls and greeting fans. Many of her fans' faces changed, however, when they noticed that the Flowers hitmaker's attention was clearly divided, which resulted in poor quality photos where the stars were often not looking at the camera at all. reached out to both Miley and Naomi's respective representatives for comment but have not heard back at this time. After the fan signing event and their night out on the town, Miley took to Instagram to share a series of photos and a clip of them posing up a storm at the record store. fan gets ignored by Miley Cyrus and Naomi Campbell 😭 — kira 👾 (@kirawontmiss) June 22, 2025 In her caption, Miley gushed over the catwalk icon and said she 'adored meeting' all of their fans who attended. 'Thank you for celebrating the Every Girl You've Ever Loved vinyl release day with me,' she wrote to Campbell in her caption. 'Laughing with you is my favorite. I'll miss you until we reunite. Love you forever,' she added. She also thanked her fans and told those who 'missed it' to go buy the vinyl, and in the comments section, Miley received a slew of messages about their 'rude' behavior at the meet and greet event. 'Sorry to everyone who went and got a photo with them talking to one another,' one Instagram user wrote. Another added: 'The way you ignored your fans lol.' 'Girl you were very rude to your fans at this signing,' another person wrote. On X, many attendees shared photos and videos of their interactions with the two stars as they received even more backlash for how they 'ignored' their fans. Many shared their criticism in response to fan-taken footage shared by YouTuber Juanito Say, who wrote alongside the clip: 'You pay for a meet & greet to meet Miley Cyrus... And she totally ignores you because she's busy chatting with Naomi Campbell.' One attendee shared a photo of them posing alongside the stars but Naomi was looking down and Miley was not yet smiling. The X user tweeted cringing emojis and wrote: 'This is as good as I got from the video.' Another excited fan also shared a photo from their meet and greet. The two stars both looked ready for the photo and were mid-smile but faced different directions. Other selfies shared by a Miley fan account appeared similarly rushed but their fans were smiling brightly and appeared ecstatic as they met their idols. 'No literally they're so weird for this,' one X user tweeted, while another added, 'omg this is so rude.' 'I know Miley Cyrus and washed up Naomi Campbell don't think they're ALL that in 2025. F*** outta here,' another X user wrote with their disappointed reaction. 'I canceled my order,' a fan added after seeing other fans' experiences. 'They just talking to themselves? Barely acknowledging the fans.' Other people slammed the two stars and while criticizing Miley, wrote: 'No bc the way I'd ask for a refund to her face.' Another person wrote that the supermodel seemed like she 'deliberately started talking to Miley as soon as she saw the girl walk up.' After the fan signing, Miley and Naomi went out for the evening in London. The singer was later seen leaving a Lost City immersive event in Covent Garden. During their night out, the superstar's father Billy Ray Cyrus was also in attendance alongside his new girlfriend Liz Hurley. The father-daughter duo's public reunion comes after she unpacked a decade's worth of family drama and trauma, revealing how she mended all of her fences, while on a promo tour for her new album release for Something Beautiful. 'I know Miley Cyrus and washed up Naomi Campbell don't think they're ALL that in 2025. F*** outta here,' another X user wrote with their disappointed reaction 'I canceled my order,' a fan added after seeing other fans' experiences. 'They just talking to themselves? Barely acknowledging the fans' One person wrote: 'No literally they're so weird for this' Other people slammed the two stars and while criticizing Miley, wrote: 'No bc the way I'd ask for a refund to her face' Another person wrote that the supermodel seemed like she 'deliberately started talking to Miley as soon as she saw the girl walk up.' She grew up to be a global pop star in her own right, though she revealed on last Tuesday's episode of Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky, her road to fame was filled with family strife. She teased the whole family went through a 'really difficult, dark decade,' but they were able to get through it. Miley revealed on the podcast that the family was able to mend their fences without therapy. 'We're so messy, we didn't even do any of that,' she joked of her family struggles, revealing the reason a therapist wasn't involved. 'Just to get each other into a room to get to counseling would have been a war,' she admitted. She told Lewinsky that, at one point of the 'dark decade,' half of her family members were not speaking to each other. She admitted that she had a lot of loyalty' to her mother Tish Cyrus, who split with father Billy Ray back in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage. Before their official split and divorce that was finalized in 2023, she said that her parents were on-and-off and she revealed how that affected her. 'I watched what happens when you don't clean things up as they're happening,' she admitted. 'They really do stack. And then all of the sudden you go, 'Oh my God, it's been 10 years and this is a mess I barely even know how to start. This is emotional hoarding,'' she continued. Ultimately, the singer, 'cleaned all that up,' during a 'really important part of [her] year … putting those lines of communication back together.' 'I just kind of busted through the pile that stacked and just [went], 'I'm here, you're here, let's start by having a good time together and then as we start bringing some happiness and joy into each other's life, then we'll be in a better place to have these conversations,'' she said. She also explained that it 'was easier to wave a white flag' than to go through counseling with someone else. The singer said she likes others to decide they 'like the way she's functioning' and attempt to 'mimic' it. Miley also revealed that will be addressing her family drama more directly on her album in a song called Secrets. She explained that Secrets is about her wanting her dad 'to feel safe enough to tell [her] the things that were damning and damaging to the family.'
