Charlize Theron's recent style streak is as fierce as her superhero movie character.
For the past few days, Theron has been all over New York City and Los Angeles attending events to promote her new film, The Old Guard 2.
Known for her glamorous red-carpet style, Theron's latest ensembles are a departure from the typical floor-length gown. Instead, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime face of Dior has embraced more edgy looks, some inspired by menswear but styled in a fiercely feminine way.
On Monday, Theron started her day in a sweatshirt-style Alexander McQueen minidress featuring a long-sleeve, black crewneck top with a crystal, pearl, and lace fringe bottom. The actor paired the look with chunky gladiator-style black sandals.
Later, the Bombshell star changed into a modern tuxedo look from Givenchy for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The outfit featured a pleated nude-colored high-neck halter top with black tailored tuxedo pants. Upon arriving at the show, the actor was photographed wearing a thick-lapel black tux jacket with the look.
The next day, Theron continued with the structured pants silhouette in a head-to-toe Bottega Veneta ensemble. She looked safari-chic in a slightly oversized beige button-down tucked into a pair of white wide-leg pants with a cuffed button hem. Theron polished off the look with the brand's Large Andiamo woven tote bag and signature knot mule sandals.
Later, the Monster star changed into a sweater and miniskirt fit from Chloé. She looked effortless in the slouchy navy sweater, which was styled over the multi-colored paisley-patterned skirt. Theron paired the easy look with glossy red Mary Jane pumps with several buckled straps, plus layers of gold chain necklaces.
Theron's NYC style streak came to an end on Wednesday as she made her way to the West Coast for The Old Guard 2 Los Angeles premiere. For the red-carpet event that evening, the actor evoked her superhuman character and struck a fierce pose in an eye-catching black fishnet bodysuit. Theron, who is a fan of the pantless look, paired the high-neck Givenchy bodysuit with a sharp-lapel blazer and square-toe calf-high black boots. To complement the look, the actor wore her hair slicked back with simple diamond cluster earrings.
With the film's July 2 release still a few days away, we can only assume that there'll be a few more Theron looks in our future.

From the Archives: Beyoncé at the Peak of Her Powers

'When she is working onstage, she has more power than any woman I've ever seen,' says Paltrow. 'She would never say it and has never said it, but I feel she knows with every fiber of her being that she is the best in the world at her job.' There's still an obsessiveness about detail in Beyoncé's artistic life. In her studio are elaborate 'vision boards' to stimulate her creative process—photographs, writings, reminders of past achievements. There's the cover of her 2003 album Dangerously in Love. There are photos of her Grammy performances with Prince and Tina Turner. Song concepts. Potential titles. 'There's so much stuff up there,' she says. 'It kind of feels right now like A Beautiful Mind.' Beyoncé says her new music 'is a lot more sensual . . . empowering.' It celebrates being a wife and a mother, reflecting the obvious changes in her life. 'Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body,' she says. 'I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it. Even being heavier, thinner, whatever. I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame.' She jokes that next time she might make a country album. Maybe a jazz album. She talks about wanting more children. 'When I was younger, there were moments where I said, 'I'm not going to have children,' ' Beyoncé says. 'And then moments when I wanted four. And now I definitely want another, but I don't know when.' What will happen will happen, she says. But there's a sense that Beyoncé won't let her life get relentless, that she will pull back now and again, not immerse herself in the way she once immersed herself. 'At some point it's very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and do all the things that any child should be able to do,' she says. Girl Scouts? Lemonade stands? School visits? Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Carter are here for their parent-teacher conference. . . . 'Absolutely,' she says. 'School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It's very important for me.' Beyoncé refers to the sacrifices she made when she was young, the thousands upon thousands of hours of spent practicing and performing and accruing success and goodwill. She believes she has earned some latitude, the ability to occasionally step away and let go. 'I don't feel like I have to please anyone,' she says. 'I feel free. I feel like I'm an adult. I'm grown. I can do what I want. I can say what I want. I can retire if I want. That's why I've worked hard.' She's not retiring anytime soon, but you get the point. In the life of Beyoncé Knowles, there is a new freedom. There is happiness. And not far from where we sit, beyond this door that opens up onto this wildly desirable and famous life, there is a baby stroller. There is Blue, and a big, boundless future ahead.

Forum Members React to Anna Wintour Stepping Down as Vogue Editor-in-Chief

After a monumental 37 years, Anna Wintour is to step down at Vogue as the magazine's long-serving editor-in-chief. As a result, Wintour is now on the hunt for a head of editorial content for the American fashion bible. Wintour will remain as global editorial director of Vogue (and will also continue as chief content officer of parent company Condé Nast). Appointed in 1988 (replacing Grace Mirabella) as Vogue EIC, the London-born editor ultimately reshaped the fashion media landscape, transforming Vogue into a cultural force. Wintour's first cover for November 1988 broke new ground. The revolutionary cover featured Israeli model Michaela Bercu in a $50 pair of Guess jeans and a heavily embellished Christian Lacroix sweater (priced at $10,000). Wintour's final issue as editor-in-chief is unknown, and a successor will be appointed in due course. 'End of an era.' [lanvinray] 'I didn't think I'd live to see the day. Rather than representing a possible renaissance for the magazine, a new EIC is probably just gonna accelerate its descent into pure irrelevancy.' [YohjiAddict] 'I feel conflicted. On one hand, I am happy to see her leave since things got really awful. On the other hand, I am afraid that whoever replaces her will be even worse.' [Avonlea] 'It will be curious trajectory Vogue US will take. But even so, she will continue to oversee how everything will work. It's bittersweet, even if it had to come someday.' [AFWQ] 'From it's being reported this won't be a big structural change. She's still overseeing the magazine (as well as the other CN titles), just not doing the day-to-day editor work. I don't see the new person having much freedom to make radical changes, they'll be lackeys like the ones in UK, France and Italy. Ultimately it's still her magazine and her decisions.' [Marc10] 'Anna isn't going anywhere, and will never be replaced. She will continue to oversee all of the Vogue's, and will hire a 'content editor', to do the day to day tasks at American Vogue. Nothing to see here.' [mepps] Share your own thoughts on Anna Wintour stepping down at Vogue and join the conversation, here. Lauren Sánchez Bezos on the Digital Cover of Vogue Feels Like a New Low…

You might not need reminding that Anna Wintour is stepping down as editor-in-chief of American Vogue (after a 37-year tenure), and Wintour's final issues are officially upon us. As Wintour begins to close out her tenure (while remaining as Vogue global editorial director), Lauren Sánchez Bezos makes a not-so-surprising appearance on the cover of the American fashion bible. The newlywed, who married American billionaire businessman Jeff Bezos in Venice on June 27, appears before the lens of photographer Tierney Gearon and is styled by Tabitha Simmons. The shoot took place on the grounds of an 18th-century brick villa just outside Milan on June 9. In the joyous cover image, Lauren poses in her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress, inspired by the number Sophia Loren wore in the 1958 film 'Houseboat.' 'Perfect callback to Melania [Trump]'s wedding cover: two tacky, absolutely useless people that no one cares about being forced upon us by their detestable sugar daddy's money. What a way to go out Anna…' noted Marc10. 'I didn't expect Bezos to be so cheap. Couldn't he buy her a normal cover?' asked Avonlea. 'Thank heavens this is just a digital cover,' thatshadedgaze shrieked. Forum member Lucien112 echoed: 'At least it's not print!' 'Everything I've seen of this wedding (not by choice!) has me shocked at how cheap it all looks,' critiqued an unimpressed chiccestlavie. 'If you're going to do it, at least do it right. This feels so pedestrian and flat – even for a digital cover offering. There's no production value, no substance, no style, no nothing. The whole entire thing feels more suited to Hello! as opposed to Vogue,' voiced vogue28. See more of Lauren Sánchez Bezos from the US Vogue June 2025 cover shoot and join the conversation, here.
