UAE, Brazil discuss parliamentary cooperation

BRASÍLIA (WAM)Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Hugo Motta, on the sidelines of the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum taking place in Brasília.The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing several issues of mutual interest.Both sides affirmed the importance of advancing parliamentary cooperation and building on the growing momentum in the strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.
The meeting was attended by Sara Falaknaz, FNC member, and Saleh Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.

Three killed, 49 wounded in intense Russian air attacks on Ukraine
6 June 2025 17:19 MOSCOW, KYIV (WAM) Russia launched an intense missile and drone barrage at the Ukrainian capital Kyiv in the early hours of Friday and three people were killed, Ukrainian officials said, as powerful explosions reverberated across the country, Reuters a statement, Russia's Defence Ministry said its forces had carried out the strike on military and military-related targets. The statement added that it had used long-range weapons to strike Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike overnight with long-range air, sea and land-based precision weapons," the ministry said.
