The ship was received at Al Arish Port by a delegation that included representatives of charitable organisations and Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), along with Egyptian officials.
UAE Floating Hospital visit
The delegation also visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, which provides medical services to Palestinian residents of Gaza as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. They toured the hospital, familiarised themselves with its departments, and met with patients to check on their health conditions. Additionally, they inspected the UAE aid warehouses in Al Arish.
The aid shipment and its contents
The ship departed from Hamriyah Port in Dubai on March 1 as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, aiming to meet the urgent needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza. It is the largest aid shipment sent since the launch of the operation, carrying 5,820 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including food supplies, medicines, medical equipment, dates, and shelter materials.
Humanitarian commitment and support
This initiative aligns with the directives of the UAE's wise leadership, reaffirming the country's unwavering humanitarian approach to providing aid and relief to affected populations. 7 June 2025 16:01 SOLO (WAM)The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Solo, Indonesia, has implemented the "Eid Al-Adha Joy Project" with funding from the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZayedCHF). The project included the preparation and distribution of sacrificial meat and Eid clothing to underprivileged members of the local community in 40,000 people (7,900 families) benefited from the project, which involved the allocation of nearly 16 tonnes of sacrificial meat. The initiative witnessed broad community and volunteer for the Eid clothing initiative, a two-day 'shopping bazaar' was organised, featuring a wide variety of clothing items for different beneficiary groups. This was arranged in coordination with local shops and tailoring houses to provide Eid outfits for thousands of children, families, and orphans. Beneficiaries were invited to attend and were provided with shopping vouchers to choose clothing that suits Eid Al-Adha festival was also held for the local community in Solo, featuring a variety of performing troupes, competitions, and children's games. The number of festival visitors during the Eid days is expected to exceed 40,000, and traditional Indonesian sweets were distributed in cooperation with local home-based Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director General of the ZayedCHF, affirmed that the Eid Al-Adha Joy Project aims to ease the burdens on some families in Indonesia and bring happiness to their hearts during this blessed occasion. This comes within the framework of the foundation's mission, inspired by the values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to spread happiness among beneficiaries and reflect the authentic humanitarian values, spirit of social solidarity, and generosity that characterize the UAE, its wise leadership, and its generous people. Tens of thousands perform Eid Al Adha prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Worshippers flock from across Palestine According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), worshippers began arriving at the mosque's courtyards at dawn from Jerusalem and various parts of the Palestinian territories. The atmosphere was filled with chants of "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest) as people marked the first day of Eid. Organised entry amid tight measures WAFA noted that the Islamic Endowments Department deployed security committees to regulate the flow of worshippers entering and exiting the mosque. These efforts ensured orderly movement despite restrictions at the Old City entrances and the mosque gates.
