EXCLUSIVE Major Hollywood star looks unrecognisable with her new look mystifying fans: can YOU guess who it is?
Hollywood superstar Dakota Johnson is undoubtedly one of the world's best-known faces.
But fans reacted in shock this week when a clip of the actress behind the scenes on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon went viral — claiming she was almost unrecognisable.
In the video, watched more than 2.7million times on TikTok, Dakota, 35, is seen with refreshed under eyes and glowing skin.
On social media, some quipped she must have had a blepharoplasty—eyelid surgery that gently lifts and refreshes the eye area.
Others even claimed it wasn't even her, suggesting 'she doesn't look like Dakota', 'nope, that's not Dakota' and 'she looks different, everyone in Hollywood is looking different'.
The clip also sparked fresh speculation the How To Be Single actress may have had other cosmetic tweakments to enhance her appearance.
The actress who recently split with Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, 48, has never admitted to going under the knife.
But doctors have weighed in, suggesting her transformation is likely a result of a handful of subtle facial procedures.
Dr Paul Banwell, a Sussex-based award-winning consultant plastic and cosmetic surgeon, told MailOnline: 'She may have had a conservative upper blepharoplasty procedure.
'Her eyes look bright and youthful, but we have to take other variables into account such as ageing, makeup, and other procedures. I think she looks awesome.
An upper blepharoplasty involves removing excess skin or fat from the upper eyelid area to tighten the skin and change the look or hooded or droopy eyelids.
Typically a 45 minute to hour long procedure, it is performed under anesthesia.
'As you age, your eyelids' skin stretches, and the muscles supporting them weaken,' Dr Banwell said.
'As a result, excess fat present around the eye may push forward causing droopy upper lids and bulging.
'Besides the ageing effect, the sagging or drooping skin can actually reduce your vision and cause problems with your visual fields.'
But Mr Kshem Yapa, a London-based consultant plastic surgeon specialising in facial surgery and rhinoplasty, told MailOnline that while Dakota's eyes 'look rejuvenated', it is 'not obvious that she's had an upper blepharoplasty'.
Instead, she may have had 'volume replacement in her lower eyelids, such as filler but more likely modest facial fat grafting', he added.
He added: 'There seems to be a little bit of improvement in skin quality in the lower eyelid and this is unlikely to be just from a blepharoplasty.'
Facial fat grafting, also known as facial fat transfer or lipofilling, involves fat being harvested from one area of the body and injected into the face to restore volume, reduce wrinkles, and improve contours.
Earlier this year, in its annual trends report, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery revealed that facial plastic surgeons reported a 50 percent rise in the average number of fat grafting procedures performed in 2024.
This trend, the Academy noted, was 'likely fuelled' by patients who wanted to restore lost volume and sculpt or tighten different areas of the face.
Mr Yapa added: 'I don't think she's had any major surgery, it's really good subtle work, likely non-surgical.
'She seems to be a little bit slimmer in the cheeks specifically and this could be just from weight loss.
'Of course, buccal fat reduction can be done modestly to give some slimming to the face and this is possible.'
Vienna-based dermatologist and aesthetic doctor Dr Alma Kamenica, also said she could not be certain Fifty Shades Darker star Dakota had definitely undergone an upper blepharoplasty.
But she added: 'Her lips also appear fuller compared to earlier years, which could point to the use of lip filler to gently enhance volume while maintaining her natural look.
'Her nose might have undergone a slight refinement early in her career, perhaps a soft adjustment to the tip or bridge that complements her delicate features.
'Her skin now looks incredibly smooth and radiant, with a more even tone and texture, something that suggests she may have benefited from advanced treatments like skin tightening devices such as Morpheus8 Burst.
'These treatments can dramatically enhance the skin's overall glow and firmness.'
Online, other medical professionals also speculated Dakota could have undergone dental work in recent years.
Sharing photos of the star prior to 2019, US-based prosthodontist Dr Sara Hahn, told her 156,000 TikTok followers she clearly had a space in between her teeth, known as a diastema.
'It doesn't look like veneers but I do think composite bonding has been done or reshaping of the front teeth because we went from a very flat to a very curved appearance,' she added.
Dakota has never confirmed if she has undergone any procedures.
But in a revealing conversation with Glamour magazine in 2017 about her skincare regime, she said: 'I buy a bunch of products but end up not using any of them. I just like the way they look.
'I truly have the simplest routine: I wash my face in the morning and at night, then moisturise, during the day I add sunscreen.'

What to know about Harvey Weinstein's conviction on a top sex crimes charge at his #MeToo retrial
Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty again, convicted Wednesday of a top sex crimes charge at his #MeToo retrial in New York City. The mixed and partial verdict came more than five years after his first conviction, which an appeals court overturned last year. The jury returned a verdict on two of three charges against Weinstein, acquitting him of one. Jurors indicated that they had yet to achieve unanimity on the final count. That could mean more deliberations on Thursday. The verdict capped an extraordinary fifth day of deliberations. The jury foreperson complained that he was being bullied by other jurors. Weinstein's lawyer then asked for a mistrial, and Weinstein himself addressed the judge without jurors in the courtroom, imploring him to end the case without a verdict. Minutes later, the jury of seven women and five men declared the ailing 73-year-old guilty of one count of criminal sex act, which carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison. Weinstein denies raping or sexually assaulting anyone. Once he's sentenced, he can appeal. Here's what you need to know about the verdict: What was Weinstein convicted of? Jurors convicted Weinstein of one count of criminal sex act, finding that he forcibly performed oral sex on a TV and movie producer and production assistant, Miriam Haley, nearly two decades ago. Haley, who had a short stint working on the Weinstein-produced 'Project Runway,' testified that he assaulted her in July 2006 after inviting her to stop by his SoHo apartment before a flight his company booked her on the next day to Los Angeles to attend a movie premiere. Haley testified that Weinstein backed her into a bedroom, pushed her onto a bed and forced oral sex on her, undeterred by her kicks and pleas of, 'No, no — it's not going to happen.' Weinstein was convicted of the same charge at his first trial. Haley, who has also gone by the name Mimi Haleyi, told jurors that she was never interested in any sexual or romantic relationship with Weinstein but still wanted his help professionally. She acknowledged she kept in touch and exchanged warm messages with him and accepted an invitation to his hotel room two weeks after the alleged assault, when she said he pulled her into bed for sex. What was Weinstein acquitted of? Weinstein acquitted of a charge of criminal sex act relating to a previously uncharged allegation that he forced oral sex on Kaja (KEYE'-ah) Sokola, a psychologist and former Polish model and actor, at a Manhattan hotel in 2006 just before her 20th birthday. Sokola, who wasn't a part of Weinstein's first trial, testified that Weinstein assaulted her after luring her to his hotel room by telling her had a script to show her. As he pushed her onto a bed, stripped off her boots, her stockings and her underwear, 'my soul was removed from me," she said. Now 39, Sokola said he held her down while ignoring her pleas of 'please don't, please stop, I don't want this.' She said she tried to push him away but was no match against the much larger Weinstein. Sokola also testified that Weinstein sexually assaulted her when she was 16 years old, but that allegation was beyond legal time limits for a potential criminal charge. Sokola said she stayed in touch with Weinstein because she had dreams of an acting career. She went to authorities in January 2020, a few days into Weinstein's first trial. Prosecutors halted their investigation after Weinstein was convicted, but revived it when the verdict was thrown out last year. What charge hasn't been decided yet? The jury hasn't reached a verdict on a third-degree rape charge involving Jessica Mann's allegation that Weinstein assaulted her in March 2013. Mann, a cosmetologist and hairstylist, said she met Weinstein at a party in late 2012 or early 2013, when she was 27 and trying to launch an acting career. She alleges Weinstein trapped her in a Manhattan hotel room, demanded that she undress as he loomed over her, grabbed her arms and raped her after, she believes, he injected himself with an erection-promoting drug that she later found in the bathroom trash. Mann said she had a consensual, on-and-off relationship with the then-married Weinstein, but that he was volatile and violated her if she refused him. She said she kept in touch with Weinstein after the alleged rape, telling jurors she 'compartmentalized the part of Harvey that was hurting me,' and that flattery and friendliness 'kept the peace.' The Associated Press generally does not name sexual assault accusers without their permission, which Haley, Mann and Sokola have given. Why was there a new trial? New York's highest court, the Court of Appeals, threw out Weinstein's conviction in April 2024. In a 4-3 decision, the court said the judge in the first trial, James Burke, denied Weinstein a fair trial by letting three women testify about allegations that didn't result in charges and by deciding that prosecutors could confront Weinstein, if he testified, about stories of him behaving brutishly. The court labeled the allegations against Weinstein 'appalling, shameful, repulsive conduct' but warned that 'destroying a defendant's character under the guise of prosecutorial need' did not justify some trial evidence and testimony. Burke's term expired at the end of 2022, and he is no longer a judge. Prosecutors were not allowed to retry Weinstein on charges that he was acquitted of during his first trial, including predatory sexual assault and one count of first-degree rape. What about Weinstein's other criminal case? Weinstein is appealing his conviction in Los Angeles in a similar case in 2022. Jurors there found him guilty of three of seven charges, including rape, and he was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Weinstein's lawyers argued he did not get a fair trial. They contend that the judge in the California case wrongly allowed jurors to know about Weinstein's 2020 New York conviction, and that the jury was unfairly prejudiced by testimony from women about alleged assaults Weinstein was not charged with. __ Associated Press journalists Ruth Brown and Philip Marcelo contributed to this report.

Pope Leo sends White Sox fans into meltdown as Chicago native dons team cap to greet Vatican visitors
He's the bishop of Rome, supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church and an apostolic successor to Saint Peter now leading the faith's 1.4 billion followers. But the man now known to the world as Pope Leo XIV was once a kid on Chicago's South Side, where he grew up rooting for the White Sox. And for everything that has changed since the death of Pope Francis in April, the newly anointed Pope Leo is still very much Bob from Bronzeville — a diehard fan of a struggling team that's managed only three World Series titles in 121 years. On Tuesday, Pope Leo gave the world a peak at Bob from Bronzeville by donning a White Sox hat as he greeted Vatican visitors, including a pair of newlyweds. It's unclear if the man and woman were from Chicago or how the hat materialized, but the struggling White Sox were all too happy to post some of the images online anyway. '.@Pontifex representing his favorite squad,' read the White Sox post. Fans from the Midwestern metropolis remain stunned to see a White Sox fan in the Vatican. 'Even 3 months ago, you could've given me 1,000,000 to 1 odds and I never would've taken a bet that THE POPE WEARING A WHITE SOX HAT would happen,' one wrote on X. 'As a Chicago area native I could never have imagined a Chicago Pope,' another added. One fan remained so skeptical of the Pope's White Sox allegiance they asked X's AI tool: '@grok is this real?' Grok then confirmed the authenticity of the photos. Despite their favored status at the Vatican, the White Sox are in the midst of another disappointing season. Not only are they 20.5 games out of first in the American League Central at 23-44 entering Wednesday, but the team's leading hitting is Miguel Vargas at just .233. Luis Robert Jr., the team's star centerfielder and most recognizable player, is batting just .184. Pope Leo's fandom has been a rare bright spot for the South Siders, who recently unveiled a tribute to the man born Robert Francis Prevost in 1955 as the White Sox were on their way to a third-place finish. Now, in section 140, Row 19, and Seat 2 at Rate Field on Chicago's South Side, fans can find a graphic installation recognizing where Pope Leo sat for Game 1 of the 2005 World Series. Chicago would go on to win its first MLB crown since 1917 that year. Footage from that game — Chicago's 5-3 win over the visiting NL-champion Houston Astros — shows a younger Pope Leo in the crowd during his time as a was a prior for the Order of Saint Augustine. There had been some erroneous reporting after he was named Pope that he was actually a Cubs fan, but his brother John Prevost has since put that myth to rest. 'He was never ever a Cubs fan, so I don't know where that came from,' Prevost told Chicago's WGN TV. 'He was always a Sox fan. Our mother was a Cubs fan. I don't know, maybe that clued in there and our dad was a Cardinals fan, so I don't know where all that came from. 'And all the aunts, our mom's family was from the north side, so that's why they were Cubs fans.' The club is in the process of being sold to Justin Ishbia, the brother of Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia. The team announced the deal last week. Ishbia will make capital infusions to the team as a limited partner in 2025 and 2026 in order to pay down existing club debt and support ongoing team operations. Under the agreement, White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf has the option to sell controlling interest to Ishbia from 2029 to 2033, after which he can obtain a majority stake.
