The event thrilled spectators with a range of extreme sports.
These ranged from bikes to motorcycle displays, spinning, drifting and a F1 display by Max Verstappen and RB8.

Max Verstappen drove the championship-winning RB8 in a motorsport display of excellence.
Verstappen said: 'I've been quite often to Hangar-7 over my life so to me, it is a bit of a homecoming every time.'

Kolisi commends Bulls on URC win, wishes them the best for final
Siya Kolisi said the Sharks "fell over our feet" in the semi-final but praised the Bulls for their excellent performance. Sharks stand-in captain Siya Kolisi was humble in defeat as his side crashed out of the United Rugby Championship in the semi-finals against the Bulls. He and coach John Plumtree even wished the Pretoria side the best for their final against Leinster in Dublin next weekend, with Plumtree saying he would proudly wear a Bulls shirt on the day. The Bulls proved the more mature of the two South African sides in their semi-final, starting well and then holding onto their lead throughout the game despite a Sharks resurgence and a period when the Bulls were down to 12 men. Though they did score once when they had superior numbers, they were twice on the Bulls try line during this period and failed to finish. They also only slotted one out of five kicks at goal. 'We fell over our feet' 'We didn't start well but the Bulls were really good today. They took their opportunity. We made a lot of mistakes as well but well done to them and all the best for them for the final,' Kolisi said afterwards. The eighthman was standing in for Sharks club captain Eben Etzebeth, who picked up an injury in the week leading up to the game. Kolisi said they knew the local derby would be hard and had prepared for it. However, they failed to execute their game plan. 'We created a lot of opportunities, got to the try line a couple of times. But we fell over our feet. And their set-piece dominated us a little bit. Well done to them.' Sharks didn't have the best season, but Kolisi is proud The Springbok captain added the Sharks had not clicked this season though they were still able to win close games (half their regular season wins came by seven points or less). Yet they showed grit, especially in their quarter-final win against Munster, decided by a penalty shootout. 'But we are going to build from here. We should have had a better season as a team but we were happy we were able to get to the semi-final. 'Today we were beaten by a much better team who took their opportunities and we didn't do that. We wish them the best, hopefully they can go and win it.' For his part, Bulls captain Ruan Nortjé thanked the Sharks for the 'awesome game'. 'It was a bouncy ball, it could have gone any way. We are just really lucky to be on the winning side tonight,' Nortjé said. 'With all the yellow cards we got they put us under a lot of pressure. The lineouts as well, so credit to them. But I am just really proud of the boys.'

Kaizer Chiefs target is the best in his country
No other player has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs like Feisal Salum. The 27-year-old finally got to show Amakhosi what he can do. Edenvale boxers shine and stumble at Emperors Palace fight night
It was a boxing bonanza as fighters from Edenvale recently stepped into the ring at Emperors Palace. Three local fighters competed in The Coronation Box and Dine Tournament, held at the Centre Court on May 31, delivering a night filled with both triumph and heartbreak. Headlining the event was Primrose resident Shervantaigh Koopman, who trains out of the Edenvale-based Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy. ALSO READ: Boxing SA under fire as retired boxers seek missing millions Koopman, who entered the ring with a 15-fight unbeaten streak, had his world title hopes dashed after a tough loss to Portugal's Uisma 'Monster' Lima, the defending IBO Super Welterweight champion. Lima, born in Angola, came out aggressively in the opening round. It took Koopman several rounds to adjust to the champion's unrelenting pressure. Though Koopman appeared to be gaining ground in the third and fourth rounds, Lima's intensity didn't wane. By the fifth round, the crowd began to understand why the Monster had defeated his previous three unbeaten opponents. The decisive moment came in the ninth round when Lima landed a vicious left hook that sent Koopman to the canvas. ALSO READ: Local boxers give fans a thrill in tournament Though he bravely got back to his feet, another punishing left prompted Koopman's corner to throw in the towel—ending his unbeaten streak at 15 fights. Despite the setback, Koopman and his team are expected to regroup, re-strategize, and return stronger in the near future. Kuse overcomes early knockdown to secure victory In the undercard event, South African and ABU Strawweight champion Siyakholwa 'One Way' Kuse, also from the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy, faced the experienced Samuel Salva of the Philippines in an international minimumweight bout. Salva shocked the crowd by dropping Kuse in the first round with a furious opening attack. In the opening bout of the evening, fellow Edenvale fighter Tyla Promnick remained unbeaten after dominating debutant Zanele Masilela of eMalahleni in a strawweight contest. Promnick, trained by Alan Toweel at the Alan Toweel Boxing Gym in Linden, dropped Masilela three times in the opening round. She continued the onslaught in the second, forcing Masilela's corner to throw in the towel just 57 seconds into the round, giving Promnick a TKO victory in the fight, which was scheduled for four rounds.
