London-based lawyer Khalid Umar had claimed in his Facebook post about six years ago that the pilot of the Pakistani F-16 aircraft that crashed in PoK after attacking Jammu and Kashmir was beaten to death by the mob mistaking him to be an Indian. According to him, the F-16 was being flown by Shahzaduddin, a pilot of the 19th Squadron of the Pakistani Air Force.

Espionage case: Hisar court rejects YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra's bail plea
A Hisar court on Wednesday denied bail to YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested last month on espionage charges. A day earlier, Jyoti's lawyer Kumar Mukesh had filed the bail application and the matter was placed before judicial magistrate first class Sunil Kumar today, who rejected the bail plea. On June 9, the court extended her judicial custody by two weeks till June 23. On May 26, Jyoti was sent to 14-day judicial custody by the court. Talking to HT over the phone, her lawyer Kumar Mukesh said that he had objected to the sections imposed against Jyoti Malhotra in the first information report (FIR). 'As the investigation is currently underway in the case, the police were against her bail plea. After hearing both sides, the court rejected the bail plea. She went to Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 and at that time, the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was in force but the Hisar police booked her under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, which was Section 124-A (sedition ) under the IPC at that time. This section was kept in abeyance, which is why she can't be prosecuted this,' Kumar added. He said that the FIR was registered on the basis of her questioning on May 15, which is not legally permissible because a person can't become a witness against himself/herself. 'The police could not place any evidence which proves that she was involved in spying. The Hisar superintendent of police (SP) himself said that she had no access to any military or defence related information but she has connections with some Pakistani operatives. If they have not recovered any information from her possession related to sharing sensitive information, then Sections 3 (spying) and 5 (communicating secret information to unauthorised individuals) of the Official Secrets Act, should be dropped from the FIR. The police should provide call details with such operatives. The police will have to prove that any of her Pakistani contacts are intelligence operatives,' he added. Travel blogger Jyoti, 33, a resident of Hisar, was arrested on May 16 for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Pakistani operatives.

Panchkula: A gut-wrenching murder of a stray dog shook the elite residential area of Sector 20 Panchkula on Sunday morning. Sheru, a community dog from the vegetable mandi, was found dead with grave injures and all four limbs tied in the early morning by resident Preeti Pahwa, who used to feed Sheru. I found him with his feet tied with tight ropes, blood oozing from his mouth along with a blue-coloured liquid and called the police on the spot. The criminals tied his limbs so that he can't run to save his life, how low can human beings fall?" According to Preeti, this is the fourth dog in the same area that has been murdered similarly in the last one month. "We suspect all these dogs are being poisoned and if these criminals are not found, they will kill all other stray dogs too," she added. On Tuesday, Siddharth Arora, advocate in Punjab & Haryana high court, filed a legal representation with the deputy commissioner of police, Panchkula, seeking registration of an FIR in the case after the SHO Sector 20 Panchkula police station on Monday refused an FIR. Subsequently, on Wednesday, the police registered an FIR in the matter, Arora said. "We had submitted a written representation to the DCP u/s Section 173BNSS u/s 325 BNS & S 11(1)(L) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals act (1960) on behalf of the complainants, Preeti Pahwa and other residents, and this comes in the aftermath of blatant refusal of ASI Kuldip Singh and SHO Somvir Dhaka of Sector 20 Police Station to register FIR," he added. Preeti and other feeders, Mudita, Ruma and Savita had put up a fight for an autopsy of Sheru's body at Pet Animal Centre, a govt veterinary hospital in Sector 3, Panchkula. A postmortem report confirmed that the dog was poisoned before being brutally tied up and discarded in nearby bushes. She said, "If justice has to be served to these voiceless animals, stern action must be taken against those committing such a heartless crime, especially when the Indian law had made cruelty towards animals a cognizable offence." Saud Somvir Dhaka, SHO, Sector 20, said, "We are investigating the death of this dog and Kuldip Singh will lead the investigation."

Haryana: Hisar Court rejects bail plea of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra
Hisar (Haryana) [India], June 11 (ANI): A court in Haryana's Hisar, on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen. Jyoti's lawyer, Advocate Kumar Mukesh said, 'Her bail plea was filed before JMFC Sunil Kumar's court and a reply from Police was sought today. After the reply from Police, I argued in the evening, the Court rejected her bail plea this evening.' Earlier on Monday, a court in Hisar extended the judicial custody of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra by 14 days. According to her lawyer, Kumar Mukesh, the court had previously sent Malhotra to judicial custody on May 26, which concluded on June 9. Malhotra appeared before the court of Sunil Kumar on June 9, and the next hearing has been scheduled for June 23. Malhotra will appear in court again on that date. Kumar Mukesh said, 'The last hearing took place on 26th May, during which the court of Sunil Kumar had sent Jyoti Malhotra to 14 days of judicial custody, which concluded today, 9th June. She appeared again before the same court today, and now the next hearing has been scheduled for 23rd June. Jyoti Malhotra will appear in court again on that date.' He said that the police are analysing Jyoti's bank account and the data recovered from the phone and laptop. He said that the podcast of Jyoti Malhotra with a Pakistani YouTuber that has surfaced talks about brotherhood only. Earlier on May 29, the lawyer said that Jyoti has made videos for her YouTube channel at different places and has also gone abroad with a visa. On May 26, the court sent Jyoti to judicial custody for fourteen days. Jyoti allegedly met a Pakistani officer, Ahsan-ur-Rahim, in Delhi, travelled to Pakistan twice, and shared sensitive information. During the preliminary investigation, the woman told the police that she went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish.
