Bologna and Juventus produced a tepid yet intriguing affair to close out matchday 35 in Serie A during a 1-1 draw at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.Scorers: Freuler 54'; Thuram 9'
An opening goal in the 9th minute from French midfielder Khéphren Thuram set Juve away on the night in Emilia-Romagna, which is just the start Igor Tudor's men needed after seeing Roma, Atalanta, and Lazio all seal three-point outings earlier.
The first half was not without controversy, however, as Bologna could have a case for referee Daniele Doveri failing to award them a penalty after what appeared to be a stonewall decision in favor of the home side.
Still, Bologna looked the better of the two combatants going into the dressing room, with Juve largely on the back foot in the wake of Thuram's match opener.
Rossoblù would finally level matters in the 55th minute through Swiss international Remo Freuler, who scored his first of the season and just his second for the club with a close-range finish after Thijs Dallinga's ball into the area dropped for the former Atalanta midfielder.
Tudor's men seemed more than happy to remain hemmed into their defensive third as Bologna pushed for a match-winner into the final ten minutes of action, but neither side could find a dramatic winner before settling on a point-a-piece.
Juve still climbs up to fourth and ahead of Roma on this result due to goal difference, with Bologna just one point adrift with three matches remaining.

Two factors that are stalling Barcelona attacker's move to AS Monaco

Two factors that are stalling Barcelona attacker's move to AS Monaco Earlier in the summer, it was reported that AS Monaco are determined to get hold of Ansu Fati for next season. The French club are interested in the Barcelona outcast, who has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular under Hansi Flick. Advertisement However, the move appears to have stalled lately, with Barcelona yet to find an agreement with AS Monaco surrounding the player's exit. Two factors impacting Fati deal A recent report from Diario SPORT has indicated that there are two reasons why Fati's move to Monaco is stalling. The first point of contention lies in the transfer formula. Barcelona and Monaco have yet to agree on whether the deal will be a permanent sale or a loan with a purchase option. Will Ansu Fati soon join AS Monaco this summer? (Photo by) Monaco are reportedly pushing for a loan, which would allow them to assess Fati's form and fitness over the course of the season before committing to a long-term investment. Advertisement Barcelona, however, are more inclined to secure a clean sale, especially as they continue to work on reducing their wage bill and generating funds for new signings. This comes shortly after reports of Barcelona rejecting AS Monaco's initial offer for Ansu Fati. The second issue concerns the valuation of the purchase clause. If the deal ends up being a loan with an option to buy, both clubs still need to settle on the final figure. Barcelona are hoping to include a clause close to €15 million, but Monaco have not yet agreed to that price. Negotiations are ongoing, but the gap in valuation is holding back the final stages of the deal. Ansu Fati is expected to return from his holidays next week, with Barcelona facing a tight deadline of completing the transfer by the end of the month.

Celtic want Arne Engels guarantees amid Lennon Miller chase as Rangers clearout tackled – Scott Burns' transfer diary

There is still one game to go in the Scottish football calendar - but transfer season is already taking centre stage. Celtic will look to complete a domestic clean sweep on Saturday with a Scottish Cup triumph - but Aberdeen can spoil the party and pull off a major success. Advertisement But with only the transfer showpiece to go, attention is quickly turning to the moves in the market. READ MORE: Kalidou Sidibe available in transfer fire sale as Celtic told directly of woes and £9million 'target' gets honest READ MORE: Celtic prankster drops wild Steven Gerrard claim to set Hotline on fire as Rangers punters have their own fan Our resident transfer guru Scott Burns tackled the big early talking points in the window in the Record Sport transfer blog with a blockbuster Q&A. And it's one that will catch the eyes of the Hoops' faithful with the future of Arne Engels among the big names dominating the window so far. Advertisement The Belgian international has been linked with a move to Atalanta this summer - just 12 months on from his £11million arrival in Glasgow's east end. And while the man himself has shrugged off speculation, figures topping £30million have been thrown around in Italy for the Celtic man. Our man reckons that a big money offer could tempt the Hoops to cash-in on the 21-year-old: "Atalanta have been keeping a close eye on Celtic in recent seasons. "They were keen on Matt O'Riley before he went to Brighton and they also like Engels. "There have been big figures quoted and if the Italians were to come to the table at that level then Engels is likely to be sold. Advertisement "My understanding from O'Riley is that the bids were all staggered with a lot of the money reliant on future triggers. Celtic would want a deal with guarantees for Engels." Should Engels leave, will Lennon Miller arrive as a replacement? Well, the champions face a battle if they are to snap up the Motherwell wonderkid. Burns said: "It looks like Lennon Miller will be leaving Fir Park this summer. He won't be short of offers. "There have been a few French clubs mentioned, including Strasbourg and Lyon, although a lot of that has been other agents trying to get busy. "Miller will have a number of options from the likes of Ipswich Town in the Championship to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and Union Saint Gilloise in Belgium are just some of the clubs who have declared an interest. Advertisement "Celtic are also watching things very closely. It could be a real money-spinner for Motherwell." Across the city, speculation is ramping up over the future of Nedim Bajrami at Rangers. Rangers' Nedim Bajrami -Credit:SNS Group The clearout has already begun with out of contract starts like Ianis Hagi and Leon Balogun being shown the Ibrox door ahead of the looming takeover. But amid reports of interest from Germany and Italy, Bajrami could stay in Glasgow: "It hasn't been the greatest of first seasons for the Albanian. "My understanding is that he is keen to stay and fight for his place under the new manager. "I would suspect that if any decent offers come in for most of the Rangers squad then they would be considered. The next manager will want to revamp the squad and put his own stamp on it. Freeing up additional funds will be vital to that." Advertisement Elsewhere, the rumour mill is swirling around Tannadice over Dundee United signing Hakeem Odoffin following his Rotherham United departure. But Scott reckons a deal could be some way off: "Jim Goodwin and his new head of recruitment have a number of target lists. "The manager is looking to bring more physicality, speed and power into his team. Hakeem Oddofin certainly offers all those attributes. He also had Scottish Premiership experience (with Hamilton Accies) but he will also have other options in England after his departure from Rotherham." Did you miss the Q&A? 6 surging Rangers transfer headlines that go beyond Coady and Turgeman as £20m vision faces strict timeline

New Rangers boss Russell Martin is looking to add some new talent to the Ibrox dressing room before pre-season kicks off. That gives sporting director Kevin Thelwell until June 23 to snap up some new talent - with Conor Coady and Dor Turgerman on the agenda. Advertisement Negotiations have started with Leicester City over a potential deal to bring in experience Coady - while rising talent Turgerman has opened the door to a move by admitting he is ready to leave Maccabi Tel Aviv. READ MORE: Rangers transfer latest as Birmingham stance on Davies and Dowell revealed and Hagi told his 'last option' READ MORE: Joe Aribo makes transfer decision as Russell Martin holds 'trust' card amid Rangers return clamour But with the American revolution in full flow at Ibrox, CEO Patrick Stewart has promised Martin he'll be handed a significant chunk of the £20million set to be injected in the Premiership giants by their new owners.. Advertisement So, who else could be coming in? And who could be shown the door? Record Sport takes a look. Metinho Troyes' midfielder Metinho has caught Rangers' eye after a successful loan at FC Basel last term. But the Light Blues' face a battle to land the £5million-rated star as they prepare for his signature with the Swiss champions - who are looking to make the deal permanent despite not holding an option to buy. BaZ report it is "unclear" if Basel will be able to secure a return and meeting the valuation - leaving the door open for a move to Ibrox. Largie Ramazani Reports in Spain suggest Leeds United's Largie Ramazani is a target for the Light Blues' this summer - just a year on from his £10million move to Elland Road from Almeria. Advertisement And former Leeds' goalkeeper Paul Robinson has urged the club to cut their losses with the winger, telling MOT Leeds News: "He's struggled to get in the side this season and I think at times, to his detriment, he's been an impact player off the bench. And I think that's maybe how the manager sees him. "And if they can get better than what they've got, which is what they have to do to stay in the Premier League, he could be one that's allowed to leave. 'He had a little spell of games, didn't he, in the Championship, but didn't play regularly, week in and week out. And he may be one where Leeds need to cut their cloth accordingly. He may be one that's allowed to move on.' Cyriel Dessers The striker has already revealed he has interest from Greece this summer - but while on international duty he has set himself the goal of scoring more for Rangers. Cyriel Dessers When asked about his lack of recent caps for Nigeria, he said: 'I'm not the one making the choices. So, the only thing I can do is to perform well and score goals at my club … to ensure that I'm ready to be called up. Advertisement 'Once I'm called upon, I should be able to show what I can do for the team. That I would have to do with goals, hard work and dedication,' Nedim Bajrami Nedim Bajrami will hope to impress his new boss when he returns for pre-season - with Record Sport understanding the Albanian is keen to stay in Glasgow and fight for his place in the team. After a disappointing first season in Scotland, reports in Albania suggest that clubs in Germany and Italy are on alert for a potential deal. Harry Darling He has already been signed twice by Russell Martin at MK Dons and then for Swansea City - but Record Sport understands Rangers are currently not in the race for his signature as his contract ticks down. Advertisement Director of football Richard Montague says Swansea remains hopeful Harry Darling will sign a new deal with the club - despite reports that Norwich City are leading the race for the soon-to-be free agent. He told Wales Online: 'The ball is very much in Harry's court. "We made him what we thought was a very strong offer and I believe he would think is a very strong offer. Jamie Vardy It would be a landmark signing for the new owners - and Rangers are said to be among the club chasing Jamie Vardy after his Leicester City exit. The signing race for the 38-year-old appears to have lost a club - with Wrexham transfer consultant Les Reed telling the i: "Let's take an equivalent of Jamie Vardy. Advertisement "Everyone thinks he's out of contract, there's no transfer fee, Wrexham could do that. You're talking about players who are on £140,000 a week. "We are a million miles away from that. There is a certain level of Premier League player who, if they are on £100k to 150k-a-week, are still going to get closer to that if they move to the MLS or Saudi Arabia than if they go to Wrexham."
