SINGAPORE — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has partnered with Pick Network, a local parcel locker provider, to provide consumers with the option of dropping off pre-labelled FedEx packages for delivery at over 1,000 Pick smart lockers located across Singapore.
This will add to FedEx's existing infrastructure of two FedEx facilities and over 410 drop-off points across the Republic, bringing the number of lockers customers can now access for drop-offs to over 1,500.
The move, announced on June 16, comes a month after FedEx and SingPost announced a collaboration to expand FedEx parcel drop-off points to all SingPost offices nationwide as well as at POPStop@Tampines MRT, increasing acceptance points from six to 43.
FedEx said the collaborations come in response to rapid e-commerce growth and rising consumer demand for greater flexibility and security in parcel handling options.
Pick's smart lockers, which will be available around the clock, can be found in residential estates, community hubs and shopping malls, and fit small to medium-sized parcels with dimensions up to 41 x 26 x 46 cm.
FedEx customers will be able to drop off their packages at Pick's lockers directly and have the option of self-collection at over 2,000 locations, including Pick Network.
Managing director of FedEx Singapore Eric Tan noted that 'by expanding our collaboration with Pick Network, we're building smarter, more accessible supply chains that give individuals and businesses even greater control over how, when, and where they ship'.
He added that expanding the FedEx drop-off and collection network in Singapore will support evolving customer preferences and improve pick-up and delivery success rates.
'This move is primarily driven by the continued growth of e-commerce and the need for smart convenient solutions that offer greater flexibility and adapt to customers' daily routines.'
Pick Network CEO New Soon Tee added that the partnership with FedEx has made it more convenient for consumers to send parcels through Pick's lockers to over 220 countries worldwide.
The collaboration also builds on the previous partnership between the two companies under the launch of the nationwide parcel locker network in 2021, for which Pick Network has since been providing parcel collection services for FedEx packages.

PM Fico says neutrality would benefit NATO member Slovakia
FILE PHOTO: Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico attends a meeting with Russian President at the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia, on May 9, 2025. ALEXANDER NEMENOV/Pool via REUTERS/File photo NATO member Slovakia would benefit from being a neutral country, Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Tuesday, without announcing any plan to take steps in that direction. "If you ask me, I tell you that in these nonsensical times of arms buildup, when arms companies are rubbing their hands... neutrality would benefit Slovakia very much," he told a press conference shown online. "But unfortunately this decision is not in my hands," he said, without giving details, although any decision by Slovakia to leave NATO would be a complex process that would include a decision by parliament. No NATO member has left the alliance since it was founded in 1949. Slovakia, which is also a European Union member, has diverged from Western allies in its position on Ukraine under Fico and his leftist-nationalist government coalition, and stopped official state military aid to Kyiv as it battles Russia's invasion. Fico was speaking before a meeting on Tuesday between Slovak political party leaders and President Peter Pellegrini ahead of a NATO summit on June 24-25. NATO leaders will discuss increasing their defence and related spending gradually to 5% of gross domestic product, with 3.5% for military spending and 1.5% for infrastructure and other security-related projects. Fico said any defence spending increase would have to be gradual and for dual military and civilian use, and that Slovakia could achieve requested military capabilities for less. He also said he did not understand the need for a buildup in military capacities, which is the main focus of NATO's efforts to deter Russia after its attack against Ukraine. "Would neutrality suit Slovakia? I am putting this question very officially and clearly," he said in response to a question during a briefing at the country's economy ministry. "What war are we talking about? Who are we going to fight with?" Fico said. REUTERS Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.

Finland bans e-scooters for children, requires licences for rental companies
HELSINKI - Finland introduced a ban on the use of electric scooters by children under the age of 15 on Tuesday, and scooter rental companies will now require municipal licences to continue offering their services. The legislation on so-called micromobility approved by parliament last month is part of a broader ramping up of regulations on e-scooters in Europe, where their use has expanded rapidly in recent years. Italy, for example, has mandated that e-scooter riders wear helmets and possess insurance, while authorities in Paris and Madrid have banned e-scooter rental services. "This is a situation that has got completely out of hand, and now it just needs to be brought under control," Lulu Ranne, Finland's transport and communications minister, told Reuters. "I hope that in this way we can enjoy scootering safely and according to the rules, and at the same time save lives," she added. Finnish authorities estimate that around 1,600 people are seriously injured annually in accidents involving e-scooters. There have been at least six deadly incidents in the past five years, they say, and some 600 children sustained injuries that required hospital care during the same period. The new legislation also makes e-scooter users subject to the same blood alcohol limits applied to automobile drivers, bans their use while under the influence of drugs, and sets a maximum speed limit of 25 kph (15.5 mph), Finnish transport and communications agency Traficom said. E-scooter rental companies operating in Finland include U.S.-based Neutron Holding's Lime, Sweden's Voi Technology, Norwegian firm Ryde Technology and Germany's Tier Mobility. It was not immediately clear how the licencing requirement would affect their operations in Finland. Companies can face fines if they do not respect the new age limit, the ministry said, and liability for knowingly allowing underage driving can also fall upon parents. Former NFL executive Rolapp appointed PGA Tour CEO
FILE PHOTO: Brian Rolapp, chief operating officer of NFL Media, speaks at the Reuters Global Media Summit in New York November 30, 2011. REUTERS/Brendan McDermid/File Photo The PGA Tour announced Brian Rolapp as its new CEO on Tuesday with the former NFL executive set to take on the role later this year as Commissioner Jay Monahan transitions his day-to-day responsibilities. A committee consisting of officials such as Monahan, as well as golfers Tiger Woods and Adam Scott, unanimously recommended Rolapp for the role. "A year ago, I informed our Boards that upon completing a decade as Commissioner, I would step down from my role at the end of 2026," Monahan said in a statement. "Since then, we've worked together to identify a leader who can build on our momentum and develop a process that ensures a smooth transition. We've found exactly the right leader in Brian Rolapp." He will serve as CEO of the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Enterprises, the golf circuit's for-profit entity. Rolapp, who joined the NFL in 2003, became the COO of NFL Media and then CEO of NFL Network. He was also the NFL's Chief Media and Business Officer, overseeing the league's commercial businesses, including broadcast and digital rights, and launched its digital platform NFL+. "I come from the National Football League, so I'll be the first to admit - I've got a lot to learn about golf. But I love the game, I play the game, and I am a PGA Tour fan myself," Rolapp said in an open letter. "To that end, I cannot wait to meet every one of our players, get in front of as many fans as possible, and better understand the needs of our partners." In February, the PGA Tour said it was closer to reaching a deal with the Saudi backers of LIV Golf, launched in 2022, which would help end the years-long divide in professional golf.
