Naperville Shake Shack grand opening set for Wednesday, Lego resale store to open in April
Wednesday marks the grand opening of Shake Shack in Naperville, the first new restaurant in the city's long-awaited Block 59 entertainment complex coming to fruition.
And that's not the only new business coming to Naperville this spring, with a Lego resale franchise and a salon suite slated to open in town over the next month.
Shake Shack
Calling all milkshake connoisseurs and burger buffs: Naperville officially welcomes Shake Shack to its stock of fast casual fare this week, according to a news release from the company.
The Naperville Shack — located at 404 S. Route 59 — opens its doors at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. To commemorate the launch, the restaurant's first wave of guests will go home with custom Shake Shack tote bags.
The restaurant also will be donating $1 for every sandwich sold Wednesday to Naperville-based Loaves and Fishes.
Started in New York City more than 20 years ago, Shake Shack today has more than 580 locations, including 370 in the U.S. and another 210-plus internationally, according to the company's website. The chain's Naperville restaurant is its 13th location in Illinois.
Shake Shack is one of a host of new eateries set to fill out the burgeoning Block 59 entertainment and dining complex. Located at the northeast corner of Route 59 and Aurora Avenue, Block 59 is a 82,500-square-foot venture under development by New York-based Brixmor Property Group.
Apart from Shake Shack, Block 59 tenants are set to include Stan's Donuts, The Cheesecake Factory, First Watch, Piccolo Buco, Yard House and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, among others.
Bricks and Minifigs
A new store coming to Naperville next month will give community members ample opportunity to buy, sell and trade all things Legos.
A Bricks & Minifigs franchise is opening at 564 Route 59 on April 5, according to store owner and Naperville resident Lydia Petrovic.
Founded in 2010, Bricks & Minifigs is a Lego resale franchise. As of last year, there were more than 130 Bricks & Minifigs locations operating across the country and in Canada, according to the franchise's website.
Petrovic said she was inspired to bring Bricks & Minifigs to Naperville in late 2023. She and her family had been traveling for the holidays in Charlottesville, Virginia, when they came upon a Bricks & Minifigs location.
'We just had an amazing experience,' said Petrovic, mother to three children. 'My middle kid, he's 6 years old and he's really into Lego. So we just went there to look around.'
On their long drive back home, Petrovic found herself wondering if there was a Bricks & Minifigs in Naperville. When she found out there wasn't, Petrovic took it upon herself to open a franchise of her own.
'We are beyond excited,' she said.
The first 100 customers to attend the Naperville franchise's grand opening next month will receive a free customized 'minifig torso,' Petrovic said. Minifig is short for minifigure. Parties and events booked during the store's grand opening weekend will also receive $50 off standard booking rates.
IMAGE Studios
This month, a hair salon suite is set to open at Naperville's Fox River Commons shopping center.
A franchise of IMAGE Studios will take over 10,645 square feet of space at the 241,000-square-foot center, according to a news release.
IMAGE Studios, which operates nearly 100 locations across 22 states, is a salon suite that allows hair stylists and other beauty-care professionals to operate independently-owned private salon studios under one roof, the release said.
The Fox River Commons franchise will contain 48 private salon studios, carving out space for hair stylists, estheticians, eyebrow artists, barbers, nail technicians, make-up specialists, massage therapists, Botox providers and teeth-whitening experts, among others.
With the addition of IMAGE Studios, Fox River Commons is now 77% leased.

iGarden Pool Pump X Series Launched in June 12th
NEW YORK, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- iGarden, a revolutionary brand from Fairland Group dedicated to bringing joy to every family and inspiring artful living through innovations like the Swim Jet, Robotic Pool Cleaner, Smart Pool Pump, and more, has now turned its sights to the humble pool pump. With the launch of the iGarden Pool Pump X Series on June 12, 2025, iGarden reimagines what a quieter, more accessible, and more efficient pool pump can be. Summer is creeping up on us, and with warmer weather come pool days. The pump is the heart of your swimming pool, circulating water through the filtration system and pulling water through the skimmers to remove dirt and debris. It also helps distribute the important chemicals that keep your pool water clean and clear throughout the season. Anyone with a backyard pool knows how a loud, overbearing and complicated pump can ruin a pool day. 90% Reduction of Energy Consumption, Over 10× Energy Efficiency: iGarden's innovative InverSilence technology powers iGarden Pool Pump X Series, which is over 10 times more energy-efficient than standard single-speed pool pumps. iGarden Pool Pump X Series is equipped with a next-gen IE5 brushless motor that reduces energy usage by over 90% when compared to traditional induction motors. iGarden Pool Pump X Series has a hydraulic volute (the spiral casing around the impeller), which allows water to flow more efficiently through the pump, putting less pressure on the motor. Moreover, the low-voltage triple electrical system minimizes the risk of power surges and keeps the pump compliant with strict energy efficiency standards set by the U.S. Department of Energy. The low-voltage electrical system improves not only your pump's performance but also its longevity. Quiet Power, Only 30dBA: iGarden Pool Pump X Series is fitted with a smart speed control system that reduces wear and tear on your pump's critical components. The ultra-quiet water-cooled solution keeps the operating noise levels below 30 dBA — that's nearly as quiet as turning a book page. Intuitive Full Touch-screen & App Remote Control: The operation of a pool pump can be intimidating. There's a reason why we often hire professionals to maintain our pools. But iGarden Pool Pump X Series is a surprisingly accessible approach to maintain your swimming pool, thanks to the pump's full-touch screen interface and Wi-Fi enabled mobile app (optional model). You can easily configure, manage and monitor your iGarden Pool Pump X Series from your smartphone. You can even enjoy hands-free maintenance thanks to this pump's intelligent inverter-drive speed control, which can automatically adjust the pump's speed based on your pool's filtration and water treatment systems. Outstanding Performance and Long-lasting Durability: iGarden Pool Pump X15 delivers exceptional performance with a powerful 1.75 HP motor, 69 ft of head, and a robust 7,920 GPH flow rate, ideal for demanding pool systems. Multiple intelligent modes provide precise control: Flow Mode enables exact flow control in 300 GPH increments. Speed Mode adjusts motor speed from 30% to 120% in 5% steps. AI Timer Mode allows you to program up to 4 time slots. 5-Year Warranty & 24h/7day after-sales support: Not only is iGarden Pool Pump X Series quiet, efficient, easy to use and long-lasting, but it also comes with a dedicated 24/7 customer support service, and comprehensive five-year warranty, so if anything goes wrong, iGarden has your back. You'll spend less time worrying about the cleanliness and safety of your pool water while having more time diving into the deep end. iGarden Pool Pump X Series includes three models: X08, X10, and X15, with different horsepower (HP) performances. They were officially launched on June 12th, 2025, simultaneously on the Amazon iGarden brand store and the official online store. Bitcoin price dips as markets cool after US-China tariff talks
Bitcoin's (BTC-USD) rally faltered on Thursday as financial markets dipped, with investors reacting coolly to US-China tariff talks that US president Donald Trump had touted as a significant breakthrough. Bitcoin surged 10% from around $100,000 (£73,826) to $110,000 earlier this week amid optimism surrounding the ongoing trade negotiations. However, the price has since declined by about 2%, to trade at $107,666, mirroring the cautious mood in stock markets after details of the deal emerged. The market initially cheered the news of a rare-earths agreement announced midweek. But the muted response that followed Trump's declaration that the deal was "done" suggested investors weren't convinced of its broader economic impact. Indeed, US stock futures reflected this caution. As of Thursday morning in New York, Dow futures (YM=F) were down 0.29%, S&P 500 futures (ES=F) dropped 0.27%, and Nasdaq futures (NQ=F) slipped by 0.29%. Bitcoin followed suit with most major digital assets mirroring the pattern. Read more: Crypto live prices 'After recovering from the $101,000 level, bitcoin continues its approach towards its all-time high," blockchain analytics firm Glassnode said. "However, under the surface, volatility appears to be brewing across both the on-chain and options market.' Meanwhile, Trump on Wednesday hailed the deal as a triumph. 'We made a great deal with China. We're very happy with it,' Trump told reporters before a performance at Washington's Kennedy Centre on Wednesday evening. 'We have everything we need, and we're going to do very well with it. And hopefully they are too.' The agreement reportedly includes China removing export restrictions on rare earth minerals and the US reopening access for Chinese students to American universities. Trump outlined on Truth Social that the US would apply tariffs totalling 55% on Chinese imports, while China would impose 10% in return. While the White House has emphasised the robustness of the new tariff structure, the finer points of the agreement remain hazy. US Treasury secretary Scott Bessent clarified that the deal did not involve a quid pro quo on US export restrictions of high-end AI chips in exchange for Chinese rare earths, suggesting limitations to the scope of the deal. Coin Bureau founder Nic Puckrin suggested the broader macroeconomic backdrop is more significant for crypto than the trade deal alone. 'Despite all the doom and gloom predictions, we're now nearly halfway through the year and the inflation genie remains contained in its bottle,' Puckrin said. 'Wednesday's CPI report confirms it, [US] inflation isn't as bad as everyone had feared, and risk assets will love this confirmation.' He added that the anticipated effects of US-China trade talks, including softer tariff policies, could help inflation continue to fall throughout the year. 'This is what will push bitcoin into the final leg of its rally for this cycle and, hopefully, finally bring retail investors back into the crypto market,' Puckrin said.
