Penalties for 6 persons for transporting unauthorized pilgrims

MAKKAH — The Ministry of Interior has penalized six Saudi citizens for violation of Hajj rules and regulations. The ministry announced that the Hajj Security Forces have arrested them at the entry points to Makkah while transporting a total of 20 individuals without permits to perform Hajj.
The ministry issued administrative decisions through the seasonal administrative committees against the transporters, accomplices, and those who were provided with transportation. According to the decisions, penalties included imprisonment, fines of up to SR100,000, publishing names of violators in the local media at their own expense, deportation of residents and a 10-year ban from re-entering Saudi Arabia following the completion of their sentence.
The ministry called for the judicial confiscation of vehicles used in the unauthorized transport of pilgrims and the imposition of a fine of up to SR20,000 on those who attempted to perform Hajj without a permit.
The ministry urged all citizens and residents to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.

Authorities also arrested an Indonesian resident for transporting 24 residents and 23 expatriates with visit visas, attempting to enter Makkah without permits. All were referred to the competent authority. Earlier, the ministry urged full compliance with Hajj regulations to ensure pilgrim safety and reminded the public that entering Makkah without a Hajj permit from April 29 to June 10 is prohibited.

Unauthorized pilgrims face fines of up to SR20,000. In a related incident, Hajj Security Forces arrested 58 individuals for violating Hajj regulations by attempting to enter the city of Makkah without the required permits to perform the pilgrimage. They were referred to the competent authorities to slap the prescribed penalties. The ministry urged all citizens and residents to strictly adhere to Hajj regulations in order to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims during the performance of their rituals.

Egyptian stabs Saudi university professor to death; wife's condition is critical
Saudi Gazette Report MINA — A renowned Saudi university professor was stabbed to death by an Egyptian resident. The scholar's wife sustained serious injuries due to multiple attacks by the assaulter who was later arrested, according to the spokesman of the Eastern Province police. Large number of people attended the funeral prayer and burial of Dr. Abdul Malik Qadi in Dhahran. The crime occurred at the house of Dr. Abdul Malik Qadi, former professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, in Dhahran in the Eastern Province. The motive for the crime was stealing due to financial liabilities of the perpetrator in his home country, according to a police spokesman. He also stabbed Dr. Qadi's wife multiple times. She is still in a critical condition in the intensive care unit of a Dhahran hospital. The attacker was referred to the Public Prosecution after taking legal action against him. The professor was found dead at his home after the perpetrator broke into his home with the intention of stealing. Dr. Qadi had previously worked at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals as a professor and had a good reputation among educational circles in the region. He was a renowned scholar who authored books such as "The Encyclopedia of Prophetic Hadith" and "Authors of the Sunnah and Prophetic Biography.'
