On today's General Hospital recap:
Welcome to the 2025 Nurse's Ball......day 4
Mac calls Jason to come to the station for Tracy who complains about Drew framing her. Jason points out it wasn't a good idea to align with Drew. She says Drew will regret what he did. Mac tells them Diane worked her magic and got her released.
Lucas joins Liz in watching the ball from her home. She brings up Wylie who's going to be performing and Lucas says he can't be there to watch it.
Lucy tries to keep the ball going as Lois and Brook Lynn run out after Gio.
Sonny, Olivia and Ned are shocked to hear there is a child and press Chase for details. Chase admits Brook Lynn had Dante's child in high school. Sonny says Lois has to know something, but Olivia doesn't want to believe it.
Dante wants answers from Cody, who admits Brook Lynn had his baby. Cody says Brook Lynn needed a ride to the bus because she was pregnant. Dante accuses Cody of not telling him but defends his actions. Dante can't wrap his head around the fact that Gio is his son.
Lulu tells Carly she confronted Lois and Gio must have overheard. Lulu wants to find Dante, but Carly tells her to back off because the news has to come from Lois and Brook Lynn.
Dante is looking for Brook Lynn and Chase wants to go after them, but Sonny stops him saying they have to hash it out themselves. Olivia wants to go after Dante, but Sonny again tells them to leave it alone.
Ned questions Chase, wondering if Brook Lynn couldn't trust him with the truth. Ned can't imagine what Brook Lynn went through. Chase says she thought the truth would hurt Ned, but he wonders if that's what Lois was thinking.
Josslyn and Trina discuss what happened but Lucy interrupts to tell them that they'll be performing sooner.
Lucy introduces the next act, Josslyn and Trina, who sing I'll Be With You. Afterwards, Curtis, Portia and Kai praise Trina's performance.
Willow tells Carly she doesn't want to fight anymore, and Drew says they want common ground. He says they have the upper hand with the custody hearing, but Carly tells Willow to speak for herself. She says the kids are not Drew's, but Willow wants them to come up with something that will work for everyone.
Willow says they're willing to let Michael have the kids every other weekend and Drew mentions them moving to DC. Carly gets angry and says she'll see them in court. Drew says Michael will blame her when he loses his kids.
Lucy announces the final act, the kids including Donna, Wylie, Georgie, Scout and James singing I'll Be There.
As the kids take their bows, Wylie spots Michael as he walks in. Michael takes Wylie and announces he's taking him home as everyone around is gobsmacked.
(*In the words of my teenage daughter: "Michael's hot now. That'll make it harder to hate him"!!!)
(**Loved the dresses that Josslyn and Trina wore for their performance, more than the dress they were wearing overall. Hated Lucy's Christmas dress at the end)

Every General Hospital 2025 Nurses Ball Performance Ranked

General Hospital's Nurses Ball may have been missing a few things this year — like some beloved characters and a half-naked Lucy — but what it had plenty of was memorable performances! Here is every 2025 Nurses Ball performance, ranked. Let's start off with an honorable mention: Anna (Finola Hughes) and Chase's (Josh Swickard) Tango… that didn't happen. The PCPD pair were supposed to dance, accompanied by Gio (Giovanni Mazza), but the real entertainment happened when Gio's violin came to an abrupt stop and he made the big reveal that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are his parents. There may be no opening act that could top the famous 'Welcome to the Nurses Ball,' so watching beloved nurses like Amy (Risa Dorken), Deanna (Dioni Michelle Collins), and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) sing fell a bit short. The only thing that saved this act was Isaiah's portrayer Sawandi Wilson whacking out his lesser-known breakdancing talent on-screen. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) have performed at Nurses Balls past, and this year, the best friends joined together for a powerful duet. Singing 'I'll Be With You,' the girls took turns singing lines, and we viewers couldn't help but be reminded of who they've both thought lost. While it wasn't the most exciting performance of the ball, Joss was certainly singing to Dex (Evan Hofer) and Trina was certainly singing to Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who you can catch doing a live performance of his own this summer). From Rick Springfield (Noah) to ___, GH Nurses Balls have been known for their special guests. This year, it was Australian singer YDE, who performed her original 'Old Her.' We all remember the closing act song 'You're Not Alone,' but this year, the ball had a different idea for the finale. To close out the show, Port Charles' next generation took to the stage with 'I'll Be There.' Although it wasn't until after Donna (Scarlett Spears), Wiley (Viron Weaver), Georgie (Lily Fisher), Scout (Cosette Abinante), and James (Gary James Fuller) sang that things really took a shocking turn. Reminiscent of the classic 1995 'Midnight Train to Georgia' performance from Mary Mae (Rosalind Cash) and her 'pips,' Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), Luke (Anthony Geary), and Justus (Joseph C. Phillips), Chase bringing his singer side back for the ball somehow wasn't the most unexpected part of this act. The surprise came when Isaiah, Cody (Josh Kelly), and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) joined in as his backup singers and dancers. Dante's Nurses Ball debut certainly outshined the other men, if you ask us. The hit song, the theming, and the ensemble of GH vets made this a classic Nurses Ball performance any long-time viewer loved to see. While it was originally supposed to be led by Tracy (Jane Elliot), due to her arrest, Anna, Lucy (Lynn Herring), and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) snagged a last-minute replacement who is no stranger to the stage: Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Anderson has always been known as the one who performs his songs live instead of recording them prior, and his talents once again shone in Port Charles as he sang 'Boots Are Made For Walkin'.' If only he referred to them as the regrettably pink boots! From the moment we found out about this year's Nurses Ball, we knew the real-life violinist would bring his talents to the NB stage. Gio performed 'Glow,' going from classical to downright rave-like when he hit the stage with his instrument, wowing the people of Port Charles and all of us at home.

Amanda Setton Opens Up About Brook Lynn's Heart-Wrenching General Hospital Twist

Port Charles has been reeling from the dropping of a major truth bomb on General Hospital. The secret that Gio is actually the son of Dante and Brook Lynn, whom she gave up for adoption when she was a teen, has finally been revealed. Gio feels that his entire existence is a lie, and the ramifications of the secret are going to have repercussions for years to come. Amanda Setton revealed how this storyline is a huge moment in BLQ's life. Until recently, Brook Lynn didn't know the baby she gave up for adoption was a boy. When Gio revealed to everyone that he was hers and Dante's (Dominic Zamprogna) son at the Nurses' Ball, she was floored. In preparing for her character's reaction, Setton told Soap Opera Digest that she wanted to ensure she did justice to her character because, 'I wanted to give the audience and the fans this climactic moment and also serve Brook Lynn.' READ THIS: Take a dive into Brook Lynn's mindset. Being a mother and parent in real life made the storyline feel much closer to home than many others. Of Brook Lynn and the stunning revelation, Setton noted, 'This is arguably the biggest moment of her life, and by far the most emotional, to meet her child.' She was able to see how the story struck a real-world chord with her and translate those emotions to BLQ. READ THIS: Get a look at what's coming up in Port Charles. Feeling 'lucky and privileged' to play Brook Lynn, Setton revealed that going into the Nurses' Ball scenes, she lost her voice, although she didn't have a cold. 'My body knew that I didn't want to do it, that I didn't want to go there emotionally,' she explained. The actress was well aware of the emotional toll it would take on her, but refused to 'phone in' her performance. READ THIS: Check out how the 2025 Nurses' Ball performances were ranked. She was going to plow through those scenes whether her body allowed her or not. She was offered the chance to postpone those scenes until her voice returned, but she insisted that if the record times got moved, 'I won't be as in it. It just won't be as good.' Ultimately, her mantra became, 'Let's just go for it. Let's do it.' And she delivered a powerful performance that could hopefully garner her a Daytime Emmy.
