Raad meets French envoy: Discussions on Israeli violations, UNIFIL mandate, and reconstruction efforts
Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, met with French presidential envoy to Lebanon Jean-Yves Le Drian, accompanied by French Ambassador Hervé Magro, at the bloc's headquarters in Haret Hreik. The meeting was also attended by Hezbollah's Head of Arab and International Relations, Ammar Al-Moussawi.
According to a statement from Hezbollah's media office, the discussions focused on the political developments in Lebanon and ongoing Israeli violations, including breaches of the ceasefire agreement. Le Drian also outlined France's efforts to convene a conference aimed at reconstructing southern Lebanon and renewing the mandate of the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission.
Raad reaffirmed Hezbollah's commitment to engaging in discussions on reform bills currently before Parliament and reiterated the party's support for the state's stance on extending UNIFIL's mandate.

Israel set to deport eight activists, including French MEP, over Gaza boat
Eight pro-Palestinian activists including a French member of the European Parliament will soon be forcibly deported from Israel, three days after the Israeli navy prevented them from sailing into Gaza, their legal advisers said on Thursday. Four other members of the 12-strong crew aboard the charity vessel, including Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg, agreed to leave Israel voluntarily on Tuesday, hours after the navy had brought them ashore. The other eight crew refused to leave, accusing Israel of acting illegally, and have been held in a detention centre while an Israeli court reviewed their legal status. However, Israeli rights group Adalah, which has provided the activists with legal assistance, said the group had lost their battle against repatriation. French MEP Rima Hassan and five other activists have been taken to Tel Aviv airport and will be flown out of the country in the next 24 hours, Adalah said in a statement. The remaining two crew members will be expelled on Friday afternoon. "Their continued detention and forced deportation are unlawful and a part of Israel's ongoing violations of international law," Adalah said in a statement. There was no immediate confirmation from Israel which earlier this week dismissed the Gaza-bound sea mission as a pro-Hamas publicity stunt. "Greta and her friends brought in a tiny amount of aid on their celebrity yacht. It did not help the people of Gaza. This was nothing but a ridiculous gimmick," Foreign Minister Gideon Saar told reporters on Tuesday. Israel has imposed a naval blockade on Gaza since Hamas took control of the coastal enclave in 2007. It tightened its grip significantly after Hamas-led militants rampaged through southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing more than 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, by Israeli tallies. Israel's retaliatory offensive against Hamas has since killed nearly 55,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza health officials, and reduced much of the territory to a wasteland.

Israeli Drone Attack Targets South Lebanon Town
The Israeli enemy continued on Thursday its continuous violations of the Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire agreement based on the UN Resolution 1701. Israeli drone strike kills one, wounds 3 in Beit Lif

"The raid carried out by an enemy Israeli drone on the town of Beit Lif, in the Bint Jbeil district, resulted in one martyr and three people injured," read a statement from the ministry. The official National News Agency said the strike targeted the courtyard of a house in the town, adding that a missile hit the homeowner's car. The Israeli military later confirmed the attack, saying in a brief statement that it had "struck and eliminated a Hezbollah 'Radwan Force' terrorist in the area of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon". Israel has regularly bombed its northern neighbor since the November ceasefire that sought to end more than a year of hostilities with militant group Hezbollah, including two months of full-blown war. The agreement required Hezbollah fighters to withdraw north of the Litani river, about 30 kilometers from the Israeli border, and dismantle all military infrastructure to its south. It also required Israel to withdraw its troops from Lebanon, but it has kept them in five positions it deems "strategic".
