
At heart of disaster: UAE efforts deeply appreciated by people of Myanmar
In the wake of a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on 28th March, leaving behind widespread destruction and a tragic loss of life, the UAE stood out as a symbol of solidarity and compassion, swiftly extending a helping hand to those affected.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for the Ministry of the State Administration Council Chairman's Office, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE leadership, government, and people, saying, "The Government and people of Myanmar deeply appreciate the empathy and goodwill shown by the UAE during these difficult times. The people of Myanmar will never forget this generous humanitarian gesture."
In a noble act reflecting the UAE's enduring humanitarian values, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ordered the dispatch of a UAE search and rescue team. The team, comprising personnel from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, the National Guard, and the Joint Operations Command, was sent to assist with rescue operations in the hardest-hit areas.
Hlaing commended the Emirati rescue team for their high level of professionalism and tireless efforts.
He emphasised the significant positive impact of the UAE's humanitarian aid in alleviating the suffering of the people of Myanmar in the aftermath of the disaster.

President Al-Mashat offers condolences on MP Sheikh Ali Al-Khubal Death
Sana'a – Saba: His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of Member of Parliament Sheikh Ali bin Ali Muhammad Al-Khubal, who passed away at the age of 58 after a life dedicated to serving the nation. In his message addressed to the deceased's brothers, Muhammad Al-Khubal (a local official in Hodeida province) and Abdulhaq Al-Khubal (Director of Al-Dahi District), as well as his sons Saddam, Taha, and Nasr Ali Al-Khubal, and the entire family, President Al-Mashat praised the late MP's virtues and contributions to his country and society. Sheikh Al-Khubal was the chief of the Al-Atawiyah district in Al-Zaydiyah and a prominent tribal figure known for his pivotal role in resolving social issues and mediating conflicts. The President highlighted the deceased's parliamentary work as a member of the House of Representatives for Electoral District "188," as well as his honorable national stances in opposing the American, Saudi, and Emirati aggression. His passing, President Al-Mashat emphasized, is a loss for Hodeida province in particular and the nation as a whole. President Al-Mashat expressed his deepest condolences to the brothers, sons, family members, and the entire Al-Khubal family, praying to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, grant him Paradise, and grant his family patience and solace. Al-Mawlid, Idris inspect renovation requirements for Al-Bayda Youth Club Building
