She was later hired to be one of MTV's VJs in 1997. She hosted shows, including Total Request Live and Hot Zone, before leaving the network in 2001 to host her own talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show.
In 1999, The New York Times called her 'hip-hop generation's reigning It Girl, meaning she is not just an MTV personality but a woman whose looks and attitude have made her perpetually in demand at clubs and parties.' Alongside her famous friends, including the late singer Aaliyah, Lewis was also a fashion trailblazer in the '90s.
Throughout her career, she also hosted several other shows, such as Unexpected, While You Were Out, America's Next Producer and High School Reunion. Lewis also worked as a correspondent for The Insider from 2004 to 2005.
In 2020, she revealed in an Instagram video that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, noting at the time that she had not been getting mammograms done regularly due to radiation fears. 'This is tough for me, but if just ONE woman decides to get her mammogram after watching this, what I'm going through will be worth it,' she wrote in the caption. 'PRACTICE EARLY DETECTION.'
Several years later, she shared during a discussion with CNN's Stephanie Elam and Sara Sidner in 2024 that she went against medical advice and didn't undergo a double mastectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis. Her tumor then metastasized and her cancer progressed to stage 4.
In addition to her sister, Lewis is survived by her son.

'Doc' Star Scott Wolf Addresses a Major Life Change

On-screen, Scott Wolf had a great year with the first season of his Fox series, Doc, but off-screen, the 57-year-old actor is going through some major life changes at home. On June 10, his wife of 21 years, Kelley Wolf, announced on her Instagram account that they were divorcing. "It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage," she wrote in the caption. "This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children." The former couple shares three children, Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11. They married in 2004 after two years of dating. Kelley Wolf, who starred on MTV's The Real World: New Orleans in 20020, noted that she "will not speak publicly about the details" of their split, but knows that she's "done everything... to walk this path with integrity and compassion." The reality star also praised Wolf for being "one of the best fathers I've ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit." On June 11, the Party of Five actor addressed their divorce in a statement to People. "After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley,' he said. 'Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter." The former duo hinted on their social media pages over the last year that something was going on behind the scenes — and fans picked up on it. "Ugh, I sensed this was coming. So sorry to hear," one of Kelley's followers wrote in the comments under the divorce announcement. It also looks like Kelley is getting ready for a move as she shared an Instagram Story on June 11 with a heap of clothes on the couch. She wrote on the image, "Packing... and sorting through the old and the new. I look forward with a heart open and wide... as always."'Doc' Star Scott Wolf Addresses a Major Life Change first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 11, 2025

General Hospital Rumor Reveals [Spoiler] Wins Custody Battle, but Who Blackmailed the Judge?

The custody war between Michael and Willow has fans of General Hospital thinking someone might have blackmailed the judge. After all, the latest episode, dated June 11, and the spoilers have signs of a few characters taking drastic measures to gain custody. So who is it? Drew, Carly, Jack, or someone else, here's an explainer. Michael won the custody battle on General Hospital. But it's not confirmed if he or someone else blackmailed the judge to win. However, fans believe Jack or Nina could have taken some steps to sway the decision in his favor. On the June 11 episode, tensions reached a peak as Michael met with Carly, Sonny, and Jason, revealing he would flee the country with the kids if the verdict didn't go his way. He was convinced Willow couldn't see the damage Drew was causing, and he wasn't willing to leave Wiley and Amelia in her care. His desperation hinted that the stakes were higher than ever. Shortly after, Michael received a court update, and according to recent GH spoilers, the judge ruled in his favor. While fans initially believed Willow had the stronger case, the outcome suggests something shady may have swayed the verdict. Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew Cain, added fuel to the fire when he responded to an Instagram rumor about Drew blackmailing Judge Eva Heran. He laughed it off, saying, 'He should have!!! Lol,' before spilling, 'But someone else did to get Michael custody.' That comment turned fan speculation into near-certainty. If Drew didn't do it, who did? Fans on social media have thrown out several possible suspects. 'My money is on Jack (for Carly) or Tracy,' one fan posted on Facebook. While another added, '[It could be] Nina to keep the kids away from Drew and help willow see his true colors.' Each possibility fits the General Hospital mold of twisted loyalties and secret deals. But whoever it was, their actions may have long-term consequences. At this point, nothing has been confirmed on-screen. But the internet buzz around the judge's decision keeps growing, with fans questioning if it was justice or just another behind-the-scenes power play. However, one thing's for sure that the battle between Michael, Willow, and Drew is far from over. And if blackmail really played a part in the verdict, it's only a matter of time before the truth surfaces and causes even more chaos.
