Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Christopher lifts lid on dramatic weight loss
Christopher Schwarzenegger is ready to share his weight-loss secrets.
The 27-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver broke his silence on his dramatic physical transformation while speaking at Beacher Vitality's Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles, reports Page Six.
'It was a big process,' he said during a panel on Saturday (per People) alongside host Jeff Beacher, Dr. Robert Huizenga and Kelly Osbourne, who has also slimmed down in recent years.
Christopher shared that he started changing his habits in 2019 while living in Australia.
'I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities,' he recalled.
'I was like, 'I want to go skydiving.' And my friends were like, 'Yeah, no shot.' I was like, 'Yeah, I can't skydive.''
However, the University of Michigan graduate admitted his body image issues date all the way back to high school.
'I tried everything. I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school,' he said.
Christopher said his weight loss was 'not an overnight thing' and 'took a lot of trial and error,' including exercising and making changes to his diet.
The self-proclaimed 'good Catholic boy,' who was spotted looking fit during a family Easter outing last month, said he 'gave up bread for Lent,' which lasts 40 days, and 'lost 30 pounds (14 kilograms) just through that.'
While Christopher has shed a significant amount of weight over the years, he has yet to reach his goal.
'Even still to this day … when you're saying, oh, before-and-after photos … I don't feel like I'm an 'after' yet. I don't feel like I'm at the point,' he said.
