Tell Ya What, Hulu's King of the Hill Reboot Has a Clip and Release Date: How to Watch

CNET2 days ago

Get ready to return to Arlen, Texas, with the first season of the long-awaited rebooted King of the Hill from creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. On Friday, Hulu posted a clip of the opening sequence and revealed the release date, which is Aug. 4. You'll be able to stream all ten episodes exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
The opening sequence, which thankfully kept the catchy original theme music, tells us that the reboot will pick up years after the original's end. Bobby Hill is an adult, and Peggy and Hank are drawn a bit older. Original characters like Dale and Boomhauer are also in the clip. Various events are referenced in the scene, like face masks during the pandemic, and Dale running for mayor of Arlen. A drone even brings in some Alamo beer.
We don't know how the show will address all the original voice actors who have passed away since the show wrapped in 2009, including Brittany Murphy as Luanne and Tom Petty as Lucky. Johnny Hardwick, the actor who voiced Dale Gribble, passed away during production. Hardwick reportedly did some of the voice-over work for the new show.
You can expect many members of the original cast to return. Mike Judge will be back as Hank Hill and Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy returns as Peggy and Stephen Root is back as Bill Dauterive. And I can't forget about Pamela Adlon as Bobby.

Large fire burning at warehouse in Camden, New Jersey

A large fire is burning at a warehouse in Camden, New Jersey, on Sunday. Crews are battling the fire at 17th and Carman streets. It started at around 3 p.m. in a one-story garage, and then spread to a four-story warehouse, according to a Camden County spokesperson. Multiple NJ Transit bus routes, including the 404, 405, 406 and 407, will be on a detour due to the fire department working to put out the blaze. Fire officials are asking people to avoid the area. No injuries have been reported due to the fire. Smoke from the fire could be seen from Citizens Bank Park in South Philly as the Phillies played the Milwaukee Brewers. The cause of the fire is under investigation. This is a developing story and will be updated.

Taylor Walls ejected, has to be restrained in heated argument during Rays' 1-0 loss to Houston

HOUSTON (AP) — Tampa Bay Rays infielder Taylor Walls was ejected Sunday in the ninth inning of a 1-0 loss to Houston and had to be restrained during a prolonged argument. Walls appeared to tap his helmet after taking a called strike, which is a signal for challenging a call when the Automated Ball-Strike System is used. The ABS is not, however, being used in regular-season big league games yet, and plate umpire Nic Lentz seemed to take issue with the gesture. The clash escalated from there, with Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash coming out to talk to Lentz and try to keep Walls away from him. Walls was walked back toward the dugout before breaking free and charging at a couple umpires who were in the home plate area. He was quickly grabbed from behind by first base coach Michael Johns, and this time Rays outfielder Josh Lowe walked him back to dugout. Christopher Morel replaced Walls at the plate and went down swinging for the second out of the ninth. ___ AP MLB:
