Parsons police honor officers' success in Leadership Labette program
PARSONS, Kan. — An area police department congratulates two graduates of a leadership development program.
On Thursday, May 8, Lieutenant Kyle Wiford and Lieutenant Jason Ludwig completed the Leadership Labette program. Leadership Labette is a nine-month community leadership development program, according to a press release.
The program allows participants to strengthen their skills across business, civic, and personal environments. Additionally, it gives opportunities to develop strong leadership skills and an understanding of various community challenges.
The two graduates join a roster of Parsons Police Department personnel who have dedicated time and effort to develop the useful skills that the program offers.
'This program has been a tremendous benefit to me and my classmates. The networking and relationships we've built are invaluable. The insight and strategies I've gained from exploring various leadership styles will make me a better citizen and public servant,' said Lieutenant Wiford.
'The Wichita conference was an amazing opportunity to connect with leaders from across the state. Professionals from law enforcement, business, and higher education came together with one shared goal: to become better leaders and strengthen their communities,' said Lieutenant Ludwig.
According to the Parsons Police Department, Leadership Labette continues to play a vital role in preparing future community leaders.
'Leadership Labette continues to play a vital role in preparing our future leaders. I'm proud of Lieutenants Wiford and Ludwig for their dedication and congratulations on their achievement. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Leadership Labette in the years to come,' said Chief Robert Spinks.
