Bath overwhelm Lyon to win Challenge Cup
CARDIFF -Bath completed the second stage of what they hope will be a dream treble when they proved too good in all areas for Lyon and romped to a 37-12 triumph in the European Challenge Cup final on Friday.
Bath, who won the Premiership Cup this season and who will go into a home semi-final as the clear leaders of the English Premiership, were the better team throughout, but enjoyed the rub of the green in a controversial first half after an Ethan Dumortier try had given Lyon an early lead.
Tries for Tom Dunn and Max Ojomoh put Bath 17-5 up at halftime, but they had two men sin-binned, with Sam Underhill extremely lucky not to see red for a sickening head on head challenge, before Lyon had a try ruled out for obstruction.
Arno Botha scored for Lyon - 11th in the Top 14 standings - at the start of the second half, but Bath took control as tries for Beno Obano and man of the match scrumhalf Ben Spencer capped a dominant night.

Bath book Premiership Rugby final berth with 34-20 win over Bristol
BATH, England - Bath scored four second half tries to rally from a seven-point deficit at the break to beat West Country rivals Bristol Bears 34-20 at a jubilant Recreation Ground on Friday and book a place in this season's Premiership Rugby final. A try from lock James Dun gave Bristol a deserved 13-6 lead at halftime in the semi-final, but when the visitors lost scrumhalf Harry Randall to a shoulder injury late in the opening period, the momentum swung the way of their hosts. Bath seized control with a blistering opening 20 minutes to the second half as they scored tries through loose-forward Ted Hill, wings Joe Cokanasiga and Will Muir, and centre Max Ojomoh, to take the game away from the visitors. Bath were beaten finalists last year following defeat to Northampton Saints and will hope to lift the trophy for the first time in 29 years when they face either Leicester Tigers or Sale Sharks in the June 14 final at Twickenham. Buttler and Dawson shine as England beat West Indies in T20 opener
DURHAM, England :Former captain Jos Buttler scored a superb 96 off 59 balls, and Liam Dawson took four wickets on his international return, as England beat West Indies by 21 runs in the T20 series opener at Durham's Riverside ground on Friday. After making a 3-0 winning start to Harry Brook's captaincy in the one-dayers, England kept the momentum in the shorter format with an innings of 188-6 after winning the toss and batting first. West Indies finished on 167-9, with Romario Shepherd caught on the final ball of the match. Buttler, in at number three with England 16-1 after Ben Duckett was caught by West Indies captain Shai Hope off Shepherd, brought up his half century from 25 balls in the eighth over. He had earlier smashed three sixes and scooped a four from the first four balls of a devastating sixth over with Alzarri Joseph bowling. The 34-year-old, who stepped down as white-ball captain last February following England's group-stage exit from the Champions Trophy, continued to look like a man relieved of a heavy burden as he hit six fours and four sixes.
