Steel Exchange India Limited (SEIL) has received a significant boost after the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB) approved the use of its flagship product, SIMHADRI TMT steel rebars, in two major Greenfield port development projects in the state.
According to the company's filing with the stock exchanges, APMB has granted approval for the use of SIMHADRI TMT in the construction of the Greenfield Port at Machilipatnam in Krishna District, a project currently being executed by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited.
In addition, the product has also been approved for use in the construction of the Greenfield Port at Mulapeta in Srikakulam District. This second project is being handled by Vishwa Samudra Ports (JV).
