The highly-awaited movie released with two different endings Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B on Friday. Both films are identical for over two hours, but the climax is different. 'Housefull 5' is off to a flying start at the Indian box office. Featuring a powerhouse cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, and Sanjay Dutt, the comedy entertainer has already outperformed its previous instalments, according to early estimates. Released on June 6, the film opened with a strong Rs 24 crore. However, it's the Day 2 numbers that truly turned to industry tracker 'Housefull 5' earned approximately Rs 30 crore nett on Day 2, marking a significant 25 percent jump from its opening day collections. With this, the film's total earnings have surged past Rs 50 crore, currently standing at an estimated Rs 54 crore. In comparison, its predecessor, 'Housefull 4' crossed the Rs 50-crore milestone only on its third Day 2, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 37.97 percent, with the highest footfall observed during the night shows. 'Housefull 5' also outperformed Akshay Kumar's January release 'Sky Force' (Rs 11.50 crore nett) and last year's Bollywood blockbuster 'Fighter' (Rs 22.50 crore nett) in terms of opening day by Sajid Nadiadwala's banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Today Digital's review of 'Housefull 5' notes, 'The good thing about 'Housefull 5' is that it looks like a nice commercial entertaining package. But, it's not for everyone's taste. The cringe comedy, where creepy men are lusting over women's bodies and making jokes out of beating birds and monkeys, does not make for very heartening humour. It also feels artificial at one point, as if the audience is being forced to throw a chuckle here and there.' IN THIS STORY#Akshay Kumar#Abhishek Bachchan#Riteish Deshmukh#Sanjay Dutt

‘Shah Rukh Khan is probably the one I know the most and really enjoy working with': Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos
It's no surprise that Shah Rukh Khan is a great host. Members of the film industry, from budding actors to seasoned filmmakers, have often heaped praises on how special Shah Rukh makes one feel at home despite his towering stature. A recent addition to this list of Shah Rukh Khan admirers is Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. When asked if he has a favourite creator in India, Sarandos clarified that he works with so many that it's unfair to pick one, just like you can't pick your favourite child from all your babies. 'But I have to tell you, early in coming to India, I met Shah Rukh Khan right away. He hosted a very nice little dinner for me, and we just hit it off immediately,' revealed Sarandos. He added on Nikhil Kamath's podcast how he and his wife have had 'nice times together' with Shah Rukh Khan whenever they've visited India hence. 'We visited each other in Los Angeles when his son was in school. So having dinner with Shah Rukh Khan in India is much different than having dinner with him in Los Angeles. I'd say that's probably someone I know the most and really enjoy working with,' added Sarandos. Shah Rukh Khan's elder son Aryan Khan studied fine arts in film and television production at the University of South Carolina in Los Angeles. He graduated back in 2020. Aryan will now make his debut as the creator, writer, director, and showrunner of the show The B***ds of Bollywood, which is produced by his father's banner Red Chillies Entertainment, and will stream on Netflix India this year. 'I've watched the first two episodes so far. It's very funny. I think people in India and people outside of India know nothing about the inner workings of Bollywood. So it's a really fun world. He's (Aryan) a very good director,' said Sarandos on The B***ds of Bollywood. While the details of the cast of the show is kept under wraps, its synopsis on Netflix states: 'In this high-stakes drama, an ambitious outsider and his friends navigate the chaotic, larger-than-life, yet uncertain world of Bollywood.' The B***ds of Bollywood isn't Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment's first collaboration with Netflix India. Previously, they've teamed up on Ribhu Dasgupta's 2019 spy thriller show Bard of Blood, starring Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kulhari and Vineet Kumar Singh, and Patrick Graham's 2020 zombie horror show Betaal, starring Singh and Aahana Kumra.
