Scotland's Connor Syme won the KLM Open to claim his first title on the DP World Tour.
The 29-year-old went into Sunday's final round with a two-shot lead over playing partner Joakim Lagergren and maintained the same advantage despite a brilliant closing eagle from the Swede.
Syme finished 11 under, shooting a one-under-par 70 on Sunday and making only one bogey in his final 38 holes.
He said: "Unbelievable, it was so, so difficult the last few days.
"I just felt so much better this week, I felt really ready to do it, and I'm so, so happy I managed to do it."
Wife Alanis flew out to Amsterdam to surprise Syme on the final green, where he also enjoyed champagne-drenched celebrations with compatriot Ewen Ferguson – who had a hole in one earlier in the day to help him finish in a tie for fourth – and England's Richard Mansell.
"It's so, so nice they stuck around," said Syme. "I've obviously been really pleased for them and I'm really happy to have joined them and won myself, so just amazing. Amazing."
Lagergren finished nine under, with South Africa's Jayden Schaper third on four under. Ferguson, fellow Scot Richie Ramsay and Englishman Jack Senior were a further shot back to share fourth.

Shane Lowry's Canadian challenge hit by putter woes as he heads for US Open

Lowry began his final round in scorching fashion to grab the lead on 15-under before his inconsistency on the greens returned to haunt him and stopped his momentum as he dropped back down the field. He eventually signed for a 67, leaving him on 13-under overall and in a share of 12th place, knowing that his putter will have to fire for him to contend in Oakmont. Sam Burns shot a stunning 62 to set the early clubhouse lead on 18-under. Meanwhile, Scotland's Connor Syme won the KLM Open to claim his first title on the DP World Tour. The 29-year-old went into yesterday's final round with a two-shot lead over playing partner Joakim Lagergren and maintained the same advantage despite a brilliant closing eagle from the Swede. Syme finished 11-under, shooting a one-under-par 70 yesterday and making only one bogey in his final 38 holes. 'Unbelievable,' he said. Brazil attacker Cunha has arrived from Wolves, while United are reportedly battling Tottenham for Brentford striker Mbeumo. Former England and Red Devils defender Gary Pallister believes the duo's top-flight pedigree is ideal - after Prem newcomers like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled. Palister told "Manchester United haven't had that threat up front with both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee having their struggles. "Mbeumo and Cunha have already done it in the Premier League and they know exactly what it's all about. "The size of the club might need acclimatising to, but they're ready made for the Premier League. They're well aware of everything that's going to be expected of them... and it's probably just what United need right now to give them a threat." Copy link Copied By 'Sesko more likely than Gyokeres' Benjamin Sesko is rated Arsenal's most likely recruit up front - despite Viktor Gyokeres still being on the radar. The Gunners and Manchester United are both keen on Sporting Lisbon's Gyokeres. And it's reckoned the Portuguese giants could now be willing to sell the Swede for around £60million, compared to his reported release clause of of nearer £85m. But it's increasingly suggested that Arsenal are focusing more on Sesko. Sky Germany even say the Gunners have opened talks with RB Leipzig over the 22-year-old Slovenian. Copy link Copied By Gunners wait on Thomas Thomas Partey's future is still up in the air. Arsenal are understood to have handed their midfielder a "competitive offer". But Barcelona are amongst the rival clubs linked with the anchorman, who will be 32 on Friday. Partey will be available on a free transfer at the end of June, following five years at the Emirates. The Ghanaian is said to be 'cautious' over extending his stay. One reason could be the expected arrival of Spain star Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Copy link Copied By Bees 'want £70m for Bryan' Brentford would hold out for £70million for Bryan Mbeumo - as Tottenham and Manchester United continue to circle for the striker. Spurs' reported pursuit of Bees' manager Thomas Frank has wobbled United's position as favourites to land the Cameroonian. Brentford still hope to keep hold of the 25-year-old. And it's thought United have already made two offers, including £50m plus £10m add-ons. But the Bees ideally want at least another £10m. ESPN claim there is 'tentative interest' from West Ham, but they would have to smash their wage structure to do a deal. It leaves Man Utd with a major problem as the winger is out of contract in a year's time. The club could be forced into loaning him out while paying a portion of his wages again or look to mutually rip up his contract. His hefty salary demands are no problem for Saudi clubs and there is interest from the Middle East. A Spurs statement read: 'He's currently up to 358 appearances in all competitions, level with the great Darren Anderton - making him one of only 29 players in history to have played 350 or more games for us. 'With 73 games under his belt in Europe, he's just three off the record for the highest number of European appearances in our history. After the £62.5m signing of Matheus Cunha, Amorim knows the rest of his summer budget will largely be governed by departures.
