Next shoppers rush to buy Birkenstock dupes that don't rub and cost almost £100 less than the posh brand
AS the weather warms up you might be wanting to ditch your boots and trainers for something a little more weather appropriate.
Sandals are a summer style staple, but that that doesn't mean you have to break the bank to get a pair that will look good.
In fact, Next has got fashion fans covered this season with their incredible Birkenstock dupes for a fraction of the price.
The stylish Forever Comfort Double Strap Footbed Sandals look very similar to the popular Birkenstock Arizona model.
But while the Birkenstock sandals are priced at a whopping £155, fashion lovers can snap up the Next sandals for just £29.
Better yet, the summer footwear comes in black, coral pink, neutral and a trendy metallic silver colour.
Available in sizes 3.5 to 9 and with the option of standard or extra wide, the sandals also have a dual strap and adjustable buckles to ensure optimal comfort.
And shoppers have already been raving about the sandals online as they have an impressive 4.2 rating.
One fashion fan said: "These sandals are very comfortable and the straps are soft on top of the foot - no rubbing."
A second pointed out their similarity to the Birkenstock sandals and wrote: "Very comfortable sandals. They're similar to Birkenstocks but half the price!"
Meanwhile, someone else said: "I've been buying these for many years, always comfortable and good value. Would recommend."
"They look nice and are comfortable, I really like them," another added.
Fashion fans 'need' Primark's new £14 linen trousers - there's two colours to choose from and they're great for spring
However, some shoppers admitted the sandals weren't for them, as one said: "I wore them once and walked about a mile and my foot was bleeding. I don't think I'll be wearing them again."
The stylish sandals aren't the only reason to dash to Next right now though.
Previously, Fabulous' Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed why the high street chain is so good right now.
"While other high-street giants such as Marks & Spencer, Zara and H&M have been celebrated by fashion insiders for their designer dupes and on-trend looks at reasonable prices, Next often seemed consigned to the style sidelines, suitable only for workwear basics, sixth-form suits or cosy jammies.
"But not any more.
"Over the past few years, Next has been pushing the style envelope – and it's now paying off.
"Here at Fabulous, our Fashion Team is wearing more from Next than ever before - from Fashion Director Tracey, who can't get enough of its head-to-toe tailored looks, to me in my new rugby top and Fashion Editor Clemmie in the brand's new season suede jacket."

Why are clothes from Next so good?
By Abby McHale Deputy Fashion Editor
Abby McHale said: "Founded in the 80s Next has been a staple on the UK high street for decades.
"Known for being a one stop shop for all the family, it's directories especially set them apart from the crowd over the years.
"More recently it's expanded even further, adding a roster of external brands to its repertoire, even branching further into beauty.
"But fashion is what is at its core.
"Thanks to celebrity fashion collaborations with the likes of Rochelle Humes and Emma Willis the brand is up there with the most stylish on the high street.
"From smart tailoring, classic wardrobe staples, a plethora of shoes and bags and a summer shop to lust over, there is so much to choose from.
"The best thing about Next is that it's reliable.
"Not only offering speedy delivery, the stores are as well as in the big cities situated in your local retail parks making them super accessible.
"Plus the pieces fit well, being true to size even when it comes to jeans, which we all know can be a tricky fit.
"It really is a brand that ticks all the boxes.
"Stylish clothes that also offer comfort and practicality with a price tag to go with - what more could you ask for?
"And it seems to be working for them with sales reported to be up 5.7 per cent in the first quarter of this year."

This pushchair is a genuine breakthrough for city-dwelling families
I didn't realise what a boon having swivelling back wheels would be until I started testing this buggy. I initially thought I'd find myself rolling all over the place along the Thames Path, and feared the buggy may end up swivelling sideways like an unruly shopping trolley. Thankfully, though, the designers at Nuna have incorporated an on/off button to activate the swivel when needed. You depress the button on the handlebar, and it smoothly allows the back wheels to unlock and rotate – simple, practical, genius. Beyond the swivel feature, it has all the bougie credentials I have come to expect from Nuna – a chic brand popular with influencers and celebrities alike. The buggy comes in a variety of classy neutral colourways and is complete with a range of extras (a cup holder, a rain cover, a carry bag, and an adjustable tilt post adapter, making it travel-system-ready). Meanwhile, a zip pocket on the back of the seat and a secret one in the storage basket (ideal for stashing valuables) add to the buggy's practicality. These extras are often a significant expense with other brands, so, as a package, the swiv offers excellent value. That said, there is also an array of add-ons you can buy to pair with it, including chic footmuffs and nappy bags. The design of the swiv is distinct. It's somewhat between a travel buggy and a travel system in size, meaning you could get away with not having a smaller buggy. At 9.5kg, it's also very light – so in many ways it reminded me of Silver Cross's tide (£895, but that lacks the swivelling back wheels. For a compact model, it performs very well on rougher terrain but really comes into its own in shops and on public transport – I was able to get onto a bus without the usual dread of having to cajole the buggy sideways into an awkward gap around other passengers. The smaller footprint also doesn't compromise on practicality. You don't feel like you are pushing the QE2, but there is still ample room, a sturdy wheelbase and a basket that carries up to 10kg. The distance between the basket and the seat allows for lots to be carried underneath, and you are able you unload it without potentially disturbing a sleeping child – another key difference between the swiv and a travel buggy or smaller compact. The fold is pretty straightforward and works in the same way as most buggies in this class – you push the seat over and twist the handle and it then folds down one-handed to a very tidy 54cm x 78cm x 30cm. It really has made navigating the city with a child in tow a lot easier.

Marks & Spencer is back online – these are my favourite fashion picks for summer
I spend a lot of time covering M&S, but the retail giant has been in the news for other reasons this year. Over the Easter weekend, M&S was forced to stop taking orders on its website after days of disruption in stores caused by a cyberattack. With deliveries paused and products in short supply, it's cost the retailer more than £300 million in sales. But, the good news is that online orders have now been resumed. As investigations into the cyber attack continue, stock is set to slowly return online for deliveries and click-and-collect orders. An M&S spokesperson told me: 'We're offering our bestselling products, along with newness and this makes up the majority of our range which is available online today (10 June).' 'More of our fashion, home and beauty ranges will be added every day. For products that are not available online, customers can add them to their 'wish list' and when they come back into stock we will let them know.' Customer loyalty will be key to M&S's survival, with analysts commenting that the retailer has been losing out to rivals. Indeed, the shutdown of online operations coincided with a spring heatwave in the UK, when many people were in the market for summer clothes. I spend much of my time browsing, trying on and reviewing the quality of clothes, particularly on the high street. Whether it's wedding guest dresses or sandals, M&S constantly impresses me with its comfortable and well-crafted clothes, low prices and on-trend styles. While its homeware easily rivals designer brands (see its Tekla-style towels or Pooky-inspired lamps), it's the retailer's fashion that really stands out. It's always been a go-to for well-fitted but feminine bras and soft pyjamas and dressing gowns that will last you years, but M&S used to have a reputation for dowdy clothing. Maddy Evans, director of womenswear at M&S, has led the charge to reinvigorate the brand's clothing offering. Former Topshop fashion director Evans has helped M&S shake those frumpy associations, targeting women who have one eye on the latest designed collections on the catwalk, and another on purse-friendly value. Its fashion takes runway trends and make them wearable day-to-day, all at affordable price points. So, with summer officially here and a heatwave predicted for this weekend, M&S online orders couldn't have resumed at a better time. Here's everything I'm bagging for this season. Giving the designer look for less, this pair of pumps earned a spot in our round-up of the best ballet flats for 2025. Combining the comfort we've come to expect from the high street stalwart with newly elevated style, the dainty style is available in white, black or red and features a slim sole, square toe and flat heel. The delicate self-tie bow fastening and ruched detailing elevate the simple silhouette. Trust me, they're the comfiest flats I own. Swap your florals for polka dot this season. The classic print is having a comeback and this sweet blouse is the perfect everyday style. Characterised by a round neckline and three bow-tie fastenings at the front, the top is cut into a peplum hem with puffed sleeves for extra impact. Finished in all-over polka dot, there's flower-jacquard embellishment for texture. Leopard print is perennially cool (it's a neutral, in my opinion), but the style is back in a big way this summer. M&S's playful take featured in my round-up of the best summer dresses for 2025. Boasting a body-skimming cut that flatters your silhouette, it runs true to size. Complete with a laidback crew neckline and mini hemline, the polyester fabric has a soft jersey feel. M&S also helpfully offers petite, regular and tall lengths, so you can find the perfect fit. An investment for your everyday wardrobe, this M&S style is designed with a fitted bodice and round neckline. The A-line skirt flows out from the waist for a midi hemline cut. Simple but sophisticated, style it with ballet flats and trainers day-to-day before jazzing it up with jewellery and kitten heels in the evening. M&S's linen rich skirt is finished in one of this season's hottest hues, tomato red. Distinguished by its A-line shape and ankle-grazing hem, the shirring on the waistband adds flattering detail. Tone down the bold red hue with a simple white Tee. An effortless way to look put-together, every wardrobe can benefit from a denim dress. This M&S style features a mid hemline and milk-maid style puffed sleeves, while the three bow tie fastenings in the body nod to Ganni. Better yet, there's side pockets. A great choice for Wimbledon or summer occasions, this pure cotton cami dress is finished in a timeless polka dot. Complete with a midaxi-length and flattering sweetheart neckline, the dress has subtle ruched detailing on the bodice to enhance your silhouette.
