Meet the glamorous cast of The Real Housewives Of London as the hit US show branches out to England's capital

Daily Mail15-05-2025

It's the hit US reality show that follows the lives of wealthy housewives from Beverly Hills to Orange County and Salt Lake City.
Now the series is coming to London and, after months of casting, promises a very British line-up indeed - with 'wives' including a Bake Off contestant and an ex-girlfriend of Andrew Ridgeley.
Earlier this year producers were thrown into chaos after they were unable to secure big-name stars for the highly anticipated show, which has already won legions of British fans for its spin-offs based in Cheshire and Jersey.
The Real Housewives franchise follows the drama-fuelled lives of rich women, capturing their social engagements and personal relationships.
Juliet Angus, 49, perhaps the most famous future housewife, is a celebrity stylist who once supported the Duchess of Sussex.
She is married to Gregor Angus, the co-founder and CEO of True Royalty TV. The company is behind royal documentaries such as Meghan For President? and Meghan And Harry: The First 100 Days.
When the Duchess of Sussex first moved to the UK in 2018, Juliet – who is originally from Chicago – wrote on social media that 'no big designers wanted to loan' Meghan clothes, but suggested to the duchess: 'You won't have that problem any more'.
She is a celebrity stylist and fashion influencer living in Battersea, south London, with their two children.
She starred in an Amazon Prime series, Ladies Of London, in 2014, where she earned a reputation for being 'messy' and was known to stir trouble.
Joining her is Ridgeley's ex-girlfriend, Amanda Cronin, 56, who met the Wham! guitarist at a friend's dinner party in 2022 and dated him for a year.
She lives in a Belgravia mansion and has started a skincare business, Amanda Caroline.
Its high-end products were developed during the pandemic and are now stocked globally in stores including Saks Fifth Avenue and Fenwick.
She also starred in The Millionairess And Me, which documented her unlikely friendship with Martin Read, a once-homeless film-maker, during which she talked about her £10million jewellery collection and £200,000 chauffeur-driven Bentley.
She boasts of having 'the longest legs in Belgravia' and broke up with Ridgeley after a year because claimed he was 'not relationship material'.
She made a fortune when she divorced First Utility boss Mark Daeche in 2019, estimated to be worth some £40million.
Alongside Amanda will be Nessie Welschinger, who starred in Bake Off: The Professionals and made a cake for the late Queen Elizabeth's 90th, which was unveiled at the Tower of London.
The mother-of-three splits her time between London and the Cotswolds and appeared on the BBC cooking show in 2021.
She has been spotted at the Grand Prix, Wimbledon and behind the scenes at Britain's Got Talent.
And lesser-known housewife due to star in the show, commissioned by US streamer Hayu, is the Iranian-born Panthea Parker, 50, who is married to a city lawyer and master of the City of London Solicitors' Company.
She is the 'devout housewife' of Ed Parker, a financial lawyer, with whom she has four children.
She has dreams of becoming a politician of an 'unwoke' party, if only she had studied more at school.
Indeed, despite not knowing the colour red represents the Labour Party, she boasted that she quizzed Keir Starmer at a drinks party in Parliament about 'putting school fees up 20 per cent'.
She is close friends with former home secretary Suella Braverman.
Meanwhile, Juliet 'Juicy' Mayhew is an award-winning interior designer and Karen Loderick-Peace, 46 – who appeared in both the Jersey and Cheshire series and flies around in private jets – has been described by her previous co-stars as 'next-level glam'.
Juliet is also a philanthropist, actress, singer but, she says, 'most importantly a mother first'.
At 12, she moved from Australia to a boarding school in England and now lives between London and an impressive ten-bedroom house in Cornwall with hedge fund manager husband, Anthony, and their two children Ophelia and Orlando. Her homes have featured on the BBC and in Vogue Livi.
Meanwhile Karen 46, is married to the former West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace and can often be found at a Baggies game.
The couple, who have three children, enjoy endless holidays at the £2,000-a-night Hotel Eden chain
The series, which is spin-off of the Cheshire version, will follow a number of wealthy and glamorous women based in the capital.
The initial US show was inspired by the huge popularity of dramas such as Desperate Housewives and Peyton Place.
Olga Puzanova, SVP of Marketing at Hayu, shared her enthusiasm during the October announcement: 'Our fans have been vocal for London to be featured in the iconic The Real Housewives universe for a long time now and we are thrilled to confirm that the wait is finally over!
'We are delighted to give our fans exactly what they've been asking for, so get ready for some of London's most fabulous and fiery personalities to shake things up.
'The drama, the glamour, and the unforgettable moments are all coming exclusively to Hayu, and we can't wait for you to dive in.'

She jumped to her main Instagram page to celebrate the big announcement and also shared a video message in a joint post with the network. 'It's official. I am coming back to Bravo,' Zoe expressed while sitting at desk in a spacious office. 'I am joining the cast of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.' Rachel added, 'It's been a while and you've been asking me to come back to television. And I said when the stars align or it makes sense or I have enough to say to share with all of you, and now is the time.' 'Really excited to be with all of you again and I hope you are too, so let's have some fun!' the media personality concluded. The caption of the post also read: 'Here we go again @bravotv!!! ✨ I am officially joining #TheRealHousewivesOfBeverlyHills nd back with my Bravo family. Let's do this!' Bravo's Instagram account jumped to the comment section to share, 'WELCOME BACK! Let's do this.' Rachel later confirmed the news to Us Weekly and told the outlet, 'I am beyond excited to be returning home to Bravo to join the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. 'I've been living my best, new life and it felt like the perfect time to come back to TV and share it all with you. Here we go … RZ 2.0!' While Zoe is set to appear in the upcoming episodes of season 15, the other cast members have yet to be announced. Last season - which finished airing a few months earlier in April - had starred Garcelle Beauvais, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, as well as pals Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly. However, Beauvais announced her shock exit from the reality series in March and shared a statement at the time in an Instagram video. 'It's official. I am coming back to Bravo,' Zoe expressed while sitting at desk in a spacious office. 'I am joining the cast of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' However, Beauvais announced her shock exit from the reality series in March and shared a statement at the time in an Instagram video 'Hey guys, so I have some news, I've decided to leave Beverly Hills,' she revealed to her fans. 'It's been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it's been a ride.' Garcelle also explained that one of the reasons for her leaving RHOBH was to be able to spend more time with her children Oliver, Jax and Jaid. 'And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting, and I can't tell you anything right now, but you'll know soon.' The TV personality then teased that there was always the possibility of her return and that she 'might pop back in some time.' Zoe is no stranger to the world of reality television and appeared in her own show called The Rachel Zoe Project - which followed both her personal life and career as a fashion designer. Episodes for the Bravo show began airing in 2008 but came to an end in 2013 after the fifth season. It had also starred her business partners and associates, as well as ex Rodger Berman. The former couple were married in 1998 but last year in September, their separation was announced after 26 years of marriage and welcoming two children: Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11. She confirmed the split on her Instagram stories and shared at the time: 'After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage. 'We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. 'Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to coparent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share. We ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this new chapter.' In conclusion, the star added, 'With love and gratitude - Rachel & Rodger.' Despite being in the spotlight to attend events in the industry, working with celebrities in the past and preparing for her Bravo return - Rachel has admitted to being an 'introvert.' While talking to Who What Wea r back in 2023, the star explained, 'Although I have built my career as an extrovert who thrives off meeting interesting, dynamic people and constantly being in large social gatherings, one thing that I think people might not know about me is that I am an introvert.' She added, that she is 'very much a homebody' and 'always prefers to be at home' with her family. In regards to what Rachel wants her 'legacy' to be, the designer said, 'If I could leave behind the notion of living a glamorous life, whatever that means to you, then I think that is a win for me. 'Trying to help women live their absolute best lives - whether that is how to entertain or how you walk out the door, approaching your life in the best manner. 'And helping them live their best lives in the most glamorous way - is what I want people to take from my work.'

Dragonfly review – haunting, genre-defying drama of lonely city living

Twenty years ago, Paul Andrew Williams announced himself as a smart new British talent with his ferocious gangland picture London to Brighton, and his creativity has continued in film and TV ever since. His new film is a haunted, social-realist drama with elements of Mike Leigh but also moments of thriller and even horror. Williams isn't shy of stabbing us with an old-fashioned jump scare towards the end, which in fact challenges the audiences with its refusal of categorisation. There are two superb lead performances from Andrea Riseborough and Brenda Blethyn and an outstanding supporting turn from Jason Watkins. Dragonfly is about loneliness and alienation and about the eternal mystery of other people, the fear of intimacy and the unknowable existence of urban neighbours. Elsie, played by Blethyn, is an older woman who is quite capable of independent living in her bungalow, but a recent fall and an injured wrist has meant that her middle-aged son (Watkins), all too obviously to compensate for not visiting that often, has paid for daily visits from a private agency nurses. They are overworked and not doing an especially good job. Really, she doesn't need these nurses and by enduring them, Elsie is shouldering the burden of her son's guilt. Meanwhile nextdoor neighbour Colleen, played by Riseborough, is a continuingly strange presence. She is a melancholy, withdrawn figure, evidently on benefits and living with her huge American bull terrier, uncompromisingly named Sabre. Williams shows us that she is effectively living in a kind of platonic relationship, or mariage blanc, with this dog; the film periodically gives us startling shots of Sabre's colossal body in a kind of domestic nakedness sprawled on Colleen's bed. In a manner that may be insidious or predatory or just friendly and compassionate, Colleen befriends Elsie; the latter overcomes her initial nervousness of Sabre and she appreciates Colleen's forthright offer of help. Colleen goes down to the shops to get groceries for Elsie and after a few such trips they agree that what would be easiest would be if Colleen simply gets Elsie's debit card and Elsie gives her the pin number. Of course, the film allows us to suspect the worst and then suspect the worst of ourselves for suspecting it. Colleen seems to be unhappy and damaged but well-meaning, especially when she (for a laugh) buys them both a two-way radio so they can easily keep in contact – but then uses this radio to talk to Elsie late at night and semi-intentionally to allow bewildered Elsie to hear what's happening in Colleen's house. It is a riveting dual portrait of two gloomy people who really have, in a strange and dysfunctional way, found a new way of interacting and – importantly – this is a triangular relationship: Elsie, Colleen and the vast Sabre. But with a terrible inevitability, Elsie's uptight busybody son John (Watkins) arrives and there are awful consequences to a conversation he has with Colleen which Williams only shows us in long shot, withholding the truth about what he's saying. It's a stark, fierce, wonderfully acted film. Dragonfly screened at the Tribeca film festival.

EuroMillions: UK's biggest lottery prize is still up for grabs

There is still the chance for someone to secure the biggest lottery prize the UK has ever seen, after Friday's EuroMillions draw had no winners. The jackpot had rolled over to an estimated £208m, after Tuesday's £199m draw - which also would have been a record-breaking amount - had no winners. The winner would instantly become richer than Adele and Harry Styles, while also bagging the top spot on the National Lottery's biggest wins list. Housing raffles take UK by storm - how likely are you to win? Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, said: "The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier. "We could see multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star." The previous largest prize pot was won by an anonymous UK ticket-holder, who took home £195m on 19 July 2022. Just two months earlier, Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, won £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket. At the time, Joe was a communications sales engineer, and Jess ran a hairdressing salon with her sister. Mr Thwaite said he woke up at 5am as usual, and checked his phone to see an email saying, "Good news, you have won a prize". But he did not immediately wake his wife, choosing to let her sleep in. "I saw how much and I didn't know what to do," Mr Thwaite said. "I couldn't go back to sleep, I didn't want to wake Jess up, so I just laid there for what seemed like forever. I spent some time searching for property with no budget limit, which was a novelty!" When his wife woke up, she assumed the National Lottery app was wrong. 1:24 In February last year, Richard and Debbie Nuttall were revealed as the UK winners of a £61m EuroMillions jackpot - who at first thought they had only won £2.60. The couple from Lancashire split the £123m prize with a winner in Spain.
