Deep sea fisherman reels in orange crab that 'looks exactly like Donald Trump'
Deep sea fisherman Roman Fedortsov shared a bizarre image of a crab he said looked just like Donald Trump - social media users broke out in hysterics and agreed with this take A deep sea fisherman has claimed he reeled in a crab that apparently looked just like Donald Trump. Social media users broke out into hysterics after Roman Fedortsov unveiled his latest bizarre water find online. The fisherman regularly goes viral with his series of strange and otherworldly catches, but his most recent find has drawn attention for its apparent resemblance to the US President. The huge crab was compared to Trump because of its unique "frowning" expression, pursed "lips" and of course a bright orange hue - with fans of the fisherman being quick to liken the crustacean to the controversial politician. Roman, who works on a trawler in Murmansk in the northwest part of Russia, shared a picture of the shocking find to his 614,000 followers, and captioned the post: "Trump crab." The fisherman's amused followers appeared to agree with him as one person wrote: "Trump is that you?" Another viewer wrote "lookalike" while another added "for real". Roman's post gained over 1,100 likes and the fisherman reacted to comments with laughing and thumbs up emojis to share he agreed with people's thoughts on the crab's famous lookalike. Roman has previously made headlines for his other fascinating deep sea finds, including a video of a creepy "alien"-like fish. Sporting a large, bulbous body, shrunken eyes and gaping mouth, the fish could look like something from another planet - but Roman plucked it from a northern part of the Pacific Ocean, and shared footage of the discovery online. He identified the beast as an Aptocyclus ventricosus – also known as the smooth lumpfish or smooth lumpsucker. The species of marine ray-finned fish is found in the deep sea and measures up to 44cm. While their appearance is certainly unique, it appears to have undergone some swelling – likely due to the pressure change in being brought to the surface – resulting in the distended body. This post also garnered comments from shocked viewers who claimed the creature looked like something from space. One person said: "Yeah, aliens are real." Another viewer agreed: "That is 100% an alien." Another person wrote: "Looks like an alien head." Some viewers likened the deep sea creature to popular movie characters. One person dubbed it "Megamind" after the cartoon villain played by Will Ferrell, who sports a characteristically large head. Another person likened it to "The Dark Lord" from Harry Potter. The deep sea fisherman has also made headlines thanks to his other weird and wonderful catches. One was compared to a Dr Seuss character, found with organs hanging out of its mouth. Meanwhile, he also caught a strange 'dragon'-like fish with yellow eyes. He also previously shared pictures of a rare find: a prehistoric 'goblin' shark.

Nigel Farage humiliated by ex-teacher's question about 'awful case'
Labour's Adam Thompson and Angela Rayner poked fun of Nigel Farage after the Reform leader claimed to have unearthed £7billion of savings when the real figure was 250 times lower Nigel Farage's dodgy maths has been brutally mocked at PMQs. Labour MP Adam Thompson, a former teacher, drew laughs across the Commons as he highlighted an "awful" case where a 61-year-old man got his sums horrifically wrong. He demanded to know what the Government was doing to help adults learn maths after leaving school. He then revealed he was talking about the Reform UK leader. Mr Farage came under fire after claiming to have unearthed £7billion of "wasteful" spending on diversity and equality programmes in Whitehall. But closer inspection showed the civil service actually spent £27million - 250 times less, the Commons heard. The Reform leader looked sheepish as both Mr Thompson and Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner poked fun of him. Ms Rayner showed it proved that Reform's sums "don't add up". Backbencher Mr Thompson asked: "As a trained physics teacher and a former engineering lecturer, can I ask the Deputy Prime Minister what this government is doing to help people improve their math skills after they've left school? "I came across an awful case the other day, a 61-year-old man who believes he counted up £7billion in government spending, but it was really only £27 million. "What can we do to people like the leader of Reform UK, who evidently can't add up." Mr Farage, 61, watched on as the exchange unfolded. Ms Rayner, who was stepping in for Keir Starmer as he was returning from the G7 summit in Canada, responded: "Mr Speaker, my friend highlights an important fact - Reform's sums simply don't add up. "He'll be pleased to know that we're investing £136million for skills boot camps, and I will be sure to send the details to the honourable member for Clacton (Mr Farage)." At the end of last month, Reform said cutting DEI programmes would make the massive saving. A spokesman for the party told The Times that the figure came from a review of spending carried out by the Conservative Way Forward group. It also includes councils, school boards, universities and government grants to charities, the newspaper reported - and even that figure is under dispute.

German minister to Iran: never too late to negotiate
BERLIN, June 18 (Reuters) - Germany's foreign minister appealed to Iran's leaders to make credible assurances that it is not seeking a nuclear weapon and to show it is willing to find a negotiated solution as fears mount of further military escalation between Iran and Israel. "We are still ready to negotiate a solution. However, Iran must act urgently ... it is never too late to come to the negotiating table if one comes with sincere intentions," Johann Wadephul said at a news conference with his Jordanian counterpart on Wednesday. Wadephul said Israel's fear that Iran would develop nuclear weapons was justified and it had a right to self-defence. "The Israeli decision to do something against this threat is comprehensible," he said, adding civilian deaths on both sides were regrettable after air attacks between Iran and Israel. His ministry was arranging special flights later on Wednesday and on Thursday to each repatriate about 180 German citizens via Amman, he said. Wadephul also said Germany had agreed to create an economic council with Syria to improve cooperation and boost prosperity and stability there.
