Lalduhoma, attending the 10th meeting of the NITI Aayog governing council in Delhi on Saturday, congratulated PM Narendra Modi on the success of Operation Sindoor, stating that people of Mizoram stood firmly behind the country in its fight against terrorism.
During his address, Lalduhoma outlined Mizoram's commitment to achieving 'Viksit Bharat 2047', highlighting the state govt's proactive measures through the NITI Aayog state support missions. "The most important step taken by the Mizoram govt for achieving 'Viksit Bharat 2047' is the flagship programme of the present govt 'Bana Kaih' or hand-holding scheme under which progress partners will avail collateral free loan up to Rs 50 lakh.
If the progress partners are sincerely pursuing their respective units, they will avail a 100% free interest loan. We have selected 517 progress partners as a pilot project and the scheme will be taken up in convergence with the central schemes," he said.
Lalduhoma emphasized his govt's efforts to create a robust market support system for farmers and profitable opportunities for entrepreneurs. He also said 40 grassroot innovators had been identified by the govt after a competition. He appealed to the NITI Aayog and the ministry of skills & entrepreneurship development for cooperation in identifying suitable industrial partners.

"We do not want construction here," said Jitendra Memane, a farmer from Pargaon. "We will continue our protests. They had first identified another location. They can build there," he said. Officials TOI spoke to said they would need at least 10 days to review the total of 3,022 objections that had come in from the seven villages. "All these objections and details of the hearings, along with our observations, will be submitted to the state govt," said a senior land acquisition official who is conducting the proceedings, which would have to be comprehensive. In Udachiwadi village alone, 142 objections have been filed, 116 of them were heard on Monday. Local farmer Santosh Hagwane said: "No acquisition should happen unless all farmers are completely satisfied with the details." Union minister highlights decrease in poverty rates

The minister highlighted the successful implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) with the consensus of all states and the increase in states' share of tax revenue from 32% to 41-42%.
