Tiny detail in Brit sole survivor's gripping recollection of how doomed Air India jet went down may help solve mystery
THE death-cheating Brit sole survivor of the Air India disaster has revealed a clue that something was wrong just moments before the crash.
Vishwash Ramesh, 40, said the cabin lights began flickering before the jet sank through the air - a detail which could help solve the mystery of the catastrophe.

Recalling the moments before tragedy, Vishwash, from Leicester, said: "When the flight took off, within five to 10 seconds it felt like it was stuck in the air.
"Suddenly, the lights started flickering - green and white.
"The aircraft wasn't gaining altitude and was just gliding before it suddenly slammed into a building and exploded."
Vishwash's flickering lights revelation comes after a passenger, who took the plane the day before the crash, claimed electrical parts such as the back-of-seat screens weren't working.
Aviation experts have speculated that the reports of dodgy electrics could be a sign of a power failure, possibly explaining the crash.
Air India is keeping an open mind as to what went wrong and caused the deaths of 52 Brits.
Theories being considered include issues with the engine thrust, flaps and landing gear - as well as a bird strike and a pilot error.
And the Indian government's investigation is also considering whether Air India was at fault in any way.
India's aviation regulator had recently ordered the airline to safety check its entire Boeing 787 fleet.
Vishwash is the only person who can provide an insider's witness account of the moment - and previously said he has "no idea" how he survived.
'I opened my eyes & slipped out'…Brit sole survivor of Air India crash details escape
He said: "I saw people dying in front of my eyes – the air hostesses, and two people I saw near me [...] I walked out of the rubble."
The lucky escapee speculated: 'I think the side I was on was not facing the hostel. I don't know about others."
Other analysts have suggested he managed to escape thanks to a flying piece of fuselage - which was caught soaring through the air on video.
Vishwash's seat was 11A, right next to the emergency door, which is understood to have blown off when the plane struck the building and then exploded.

In the unbelievable footage, a tiny object is seen flying away for a split second - right before the jet is engulfed in flames.
Investigators continue to analyse the footage and search for the mystery piece of debris as they try to find out what caused the horror crash.
Recalling the moment of disbelief when he found himself alive, Vishwash said: "At first, I thought I was dead. Later, I realised I was still alive and saw an opening in the fuselage.
"I managed to unbuckle myself, used my leg to push through that opening and crawled out."

"When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me.
"Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital."
Vishwash that the plane caught fire before he fought through the rubble - and then exploded when he was just out of harm's way.
Footage shows Vishwash, staggering and caked in blood with locals helping him an ambulance.
Speaking in Hindi, he says: "I just got out of the plane, it exploded."
From there he was rushed to hospital, and has since heaped praise on the medical staff treating him.
He said: 'My treatment is going well, and the people are very supportive.'
Vishwash's brother Ajay was onboard the plane and died.

EXCLUSIVE Police investigate 'sex attack' at George, Charlotte and Louis's £30,000-a-year school
Police are investigating an allegation of sexual assault at the prestigious private school attended by the Prince and Princess of Wales 's three children, The Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal. Officers launched a probe after it was alleged that two children at Lambrook School in Berkshire molested another pupil during a school trip. The MoS understands the parents of the alleged victim are furious at the way the school, where fees are almost £30,000 a year, has dealt with the alleged incident, and have told friends their 'distressed' child no longer feels safe there. A friend of the couple said: 'What has happened is outrageous, unacceptable and disgusting. School was the child's happy place and the parents just want everybody to be held accountable.' Patrick Burrowes, chairman of the governors, has ordered an independent investigation into the way the school handled the issue after the child's parents complained that the two pupils who allegedly attacked their child have not been suspended. The extraordinary developments throw a spotlight on one of the top private schools in the UK. Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, have attended Lambrook, a co-educational preparatory school near Ascot, since September 2022. The royal children are not connected to the alleged assault and it is not thought that William and Kate are aware of it. The MoS understands the pupils were on a school trip when the alleged sex attack took place. The MoS is not detailing the age or sex of any of the children to protect their identities. It is believed the alleged incident only came to light some time later when another pupil told their parents, who informed teachers. A senior teacher then called the alleged victim's parents to tell them of the claims. It is understood that when they asked their child what happened they became deeply upset. The parents met the school's headteacher Jonathan Perry the next day and were told the school was investigating. But the next morning the child provided a more detailed account of the alleged incident and the parents immediately demanded a second meeting, which was attended by Mr Perry and the school's head of pastoral care. Sources claim the parents voiced their anger that the two alleged perpetrators had apparently not been spoken to, and that neither social services nor the police were involved. A friend of the couple said: 'The father said, 'You have to deal with it. This is your choice right now: lift up the phone and call the police or I will do it'.' It is understood the school called the police after the meeting, who within hours contacted the parents. Sources say a police officer has spoken to the child. Last night a police spokesman said it 'is investigating an allegation of sexual assault by touching following a report of a child safeguarding matter which was received from a school in Berkshire'. The alleged victim's parents, however, remain furious that Mr Perry has refused to suspend the two alleged perpetrators. The school drew up a risk assessment which included a series of measures designed to keep the three pupils separate, including close monitoring during break times and sports lessons. Mr Perry is said to have tried to reassure the parents that Lambrook was able to safely educate all three children. The MoS, however, understands the alleged victim's parents feel the risk assessment was 'completely inadequate' and have not signed it. The couple have told friends their child no longer feels safe at Lambrook, which is causing them 'considerable distress and anxiety'. They are looking for an alternative school, and are said to be considering suing Lambrook for negligence and safeguarding failures. The parents of the alleged victim are also understood to have complained, and demanded the suspension of Mr Perry over the way he has handled the incident. It is understood Mr Burrowes has appointed a university academic to investigate the complaint. This school is said to believe that claims it has not dealt with the matter properly or appropriately are false.

The 35-year-old crashed his blue Skoda Superb car into the fast food restaurant in the town of Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, at around 3.30pm yesterday. One resident said the usually quiet, sleepy town was hit with a heavy police and forensics presence in the wake of the crash, The Sun reports. Officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for information. The specialist body's DI Torie Harrison stressed it is currently believed to be 'an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community'. But officers will have 'an enhanced presence' in the town in the next few days 'to provide reassurance and support as inquiries continue'. The senior investigating officer continued: 'Following the tragic discovery of a woman's body in Burton Latimer yesterday afternoon, our thoughts and condolences are with everyone who knew and loved her. 'We have established a comprehensive and fast-moving investigation into the circumstances of her death, with one arrest made.
