Television actor Shweta Tiwari's former spouse, Raja Chaudhary, recently spoke openly about their divorce and responded to the accusations of physical abuse. In a discussion with Hindi Rush, he referred to Shweta as 'illiterate' and asserted that he was the one who envisioned the future for their daughter, Palak Tiwari. Raja Chaudhary Speaks On Shweta Tiwari
Raja Chaudhary took a dig at Shweta Tiwari's education and mentioned that Shweta did not engage in her studies, it was he who determined Palak's future. He remarked, 'Tumne paise dekhe nahi, bachpan se tumne gareebi ki zindagi ji hai, chawl main rahe ho, achanak se jab paise aaye toh dimaag kharab hojaata hai logon ka. Padhai likhai tumne ki nahi hai, anpadh tum vaise ho, jhoote duniya jee rahe ho, toh jab aap kaam karne lagte ho toh the person doesn't remain the same. She became a businesswoman.' (You hadn't seen money before, you lived a life of poverty since childhood, and grew up in a chawl. When money suddenly comes, it messes with people's minds. You weren't educated, you're illiterate in that sense, living a fake life, so when you start working.)
'I earned it, it's my money', what have you truly earned? Did you come into this world by yourself? I fail to comprehend how anyone within a family could even utter the phrase 'this is my money.' It is our money. However, if that is the limit of her understanding, what can anyone do?' Who Is Raja Chaudhary?
Raja is an alumnus of Asian Academy of Film & Television, who commenced his career with the Bhojpuri film Saiyyan Hamar Hindustani, where he starred opposite Shweta Tiwari in the role of an antagonist. He rose to prominence during his participation in the Hindi reality show Bigg Boss 2, where he secured the position of runner-up. Following this, he took part in another reality show titled Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipe Out. Chaudhary has also appeared in numerous television serials, including Your Honour, Daddy Samjha Karo, Chandramukhi, Aane Wala Pal, the period Indian fantasy series Kahani Chandrakanta Ki, and Adaalat. Additionally, he was featured in a television serial named Black on the 9X Channel, which was directed by Sunil Agnihotri. Personal Front Of Raja Chaudhary
Raja took marriage vows with television actress and his co-star from his debut film, Shweta Tiwari, in 1998. Together, they had daughter named Palak Tiwari. The couple appeared together in the second season of the reality dance competition, Nach Baliye. Kannappa box office collection day 2: Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas can't save Vishnu Manchu's film from dipping on Saturday

Kannappa box office collection day 2: Mukesh Kumar Singh's mythological epic Kannappa boasts of a stellar star cast. While it's led by Vishnu Manchu, the film has a pan-India ensemble cast, ranging from Malayalam cinema's Mohanlal, Hindi cinema's Akshay Kumar, and Telugu cinema's very own, Prabhas. However, the combined might of these powerhouses couldn't help the film secure a consistent opening weekend. After opening at Rs 9.35 crore on Friday, Manchu's biggest opening yet, Kannappa dropped down to Rs 7 crore across all four languages at the domestic box office. While the native Telugu version scored the lion's share of that figure, it was followed by the dubbed Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil versions, respectively. As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the domestic box office collection of Kannappa stands at Rs 16.35 crore. It's rare for a pan-Indian film to register a dip in figures on the second day itself, that too on a weekend. Whether it's able to bounce back on Sunday or not will determine its further trajectory at the domestic box office. Ahead of the release, the makers issued a statement warning trolls against creating 'intentional and destructive attacks' on the film. The notice read, 'The film has been created responsibly to engage with the public at large and we thereby respectfully request all critiques to watch the film first, appreciate its substance, understand the intent and then comment on it with responsibility, rather than succumbing to premeditated biases or vendetta-fuelled commentary.' It added, 'While we recognize that the right to freedom of speech and expression is sacrosanct and enshrined under Article 19 (1) (a) of the Constitution of India, it is also equally established, by judicial interpretations that intentional and destructive attack, whether physical or reputational, on a creative work is not protected speech but a form of actionable injury and we reserve our rights to take appropriate legal action in this regard.' 'Furthermore, it is pertinent to note that the Hon'ble Delhi High Court has granted protection to the personality and publicity rights of two key stakeholders and principal actors of Kannappa, namely, Dr. Mohan Babu and Mr. Vishnu Manchu, and any dilution or tarnishment of their persona, image or district attributes, including any form of unauthorized use of dissemination of content which misappropriates or defames them, whether for commercial, personal, or any other gains may invite consequences under the present direction from the Hon'ble Court as well as under applicable laws,' read the statement. The mythological epic narrates the story of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. The film is produced by Manchu's banners AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. Besides Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, Prabhas as Rudra, Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, and Kajal Aggarwal as Parvathi, the film also stars Preity Mukhundhan, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu and Madhoo. The film, starring Aamir and Genelia D'Souza, among others, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in nine days. Its domestic box office collection stands at Rs 109.27 crore.

Meet 90s highest-paid star, charged Rs 1 crore per film, name is..., not Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth

Meet 90s highest-paid star, charged Rs 1 crore per film, name is..., not Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth Today, we will highlight the journey of this superstar who stepped away from Bollywood after starring in three Hindi films, to later found superstardom in South Indian cinema. In 90s, his success overthrew Amitabh Bachchan, and became the highest-paid stars in the country. He is none other than megastar Chiranjeevi, who is undoubtedly, one of the biggest names in Telugu cinema. How Chiranjeevi became the highest-paid actor in 90s? An old cover of the Week Magazine, dating back in 1992, headlined Chiranjeevi as the cover boy, with the title that screamed: 'Bigger than Bachchan'. The magazine reported that Chiranjeevi had broken the Rs 1 crore barrier by charging Rs 1.25 crore for film Aapadbandhavudu . At that time, Big B had taken a hiatus from films, which meant Chiranjeevi took over his spot, and became the highest-paid Indian actor. Reportedly, other top stars such as Rajinikanth, Sunny Deol, Govinda used to charge Rs 50 to Rs 60 lakh per film. After Chiranjeevi, who all entered the Rs 1 crore club? After Chiranjeevi, Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth too entered the club as they charged Rs 1 crore per film. Moreover, Amitabh Bachchan, upon his return to films, became the first Bollywood actor to charge Rs 1 crore per film. The late 90s saw a shift in power dynamics and economics of India cinema. By the end, the three top Bollywood stars- Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan began charging more- commanding Rs 2-3 crore per films. It was in late 1980s, Chiranjeevi's remarkable career solidified his position as one of the biggest names in Indian cinema. He worked in over 150 films as an actor, dancer and producer, and was reportedly dubbed as 'The New Money Machine' in 90s after delivering 14 consecutive hits in a year. Currently, Chiranjeevi's net worth is estimated to be around Rs 1650 crore, thanks to his prolific career and remarkable legacy in Indian cinema.

Maa Box Office Collection Day 2: Kajol's Film Mints Rs 10 Crore, Sees Slight Growth

Last Updated: Kajol's mythological horror film Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, got mixed reviews. Despite a slow start, it crossed Rs 10 crore. Kajol's big-screen return after three years with Maa, a mythological horror film directed by Vishal Furia, has been met with a mixed response from both critics and audiences. Despite a lukewarm start on Friday with Rs 4.65 crore, the film showed a slight upward trend on its second day. As per early estimates, Maa has now crossed the Rs 10 crore mark at the box office. As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Maa earned Rs 4.65 crore on its opening day and followed it up with Rs 5.4 crore on Day 2. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film held its ground, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 10.05 crore. On its first Saturday, the film saw a Hindi occupancy rate of 22.36 per cent starting with 9.94 per cent in the morning, which picked up to 26.87 per cent in the afternoon and peaked at 30.26 per cent during evening shows. Maa was released alongside Vishnu Manchu's big-budget mythological drama Kannappa, which opened with a strong Rs 9.35 crore on Day 1. However, while Maa showed a slight rise in collections on its second day, Kannappa witnessed a dip. A part of the review of Maa by News18 read, 'The concept and story have substance, but the film lacked largely because of its style of storytelling. Besides, the film also has a lot of stereotypes that could have been done without. Besides the exaggeration that the palace had a almost 30-feet tall Kali maa's stone carved statue, the way people from Chandrapur talk in the film, everything seems to be a cliche that all the Bengalis would be running away from. It only gets disappointing to see Ronit Roy, who plays a vital part in the film, deliver all his Hindi dialogues with such a heavy Bengali accent. A lot would argue that it is not how people from Bengal speak when they talk in Hindi." In Maa, a mythological horror thriller, Kajol takes on the powerful role of Ambika, a fearless mother who will stop at nothing to protect her daughter from dark, supernatural forces. The film blends myth and mystery, marking Kajol's first foray into the horror genre. Alongside her, the cast includes Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma. Directed by Vishal Furia, Maa is backed by producers Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Subbarayan. First Published: June 29, 2025, 07:34 IST
