How big of a contract extension is Baker Mayfield setup for after last season?

How big of a contract extension is Baker Mayfield setup for after last season? Baker Mayfield was cast away from the Cleveland Browns and left in the forgotten land of NFL quarterbacks. He was destined to be a career backup before he found his way to Tampa Bay and his career was restored to that of a number one overall pick. Fast forward a few years in the pewter and Mayfield is now poised to be their long-term answer at the position. To be that, though, they will have to secure a contract extension in the neighborhood of a franchise quarterback. Tony Adame of Heavy on NFL discussed the scenarios surrounding Baker Mayfield and his next contract. Regardless of what may play out in the scenarios he plays out, one common result is a Baker Mayfield extension. Adame projects the extension, saying, ". . .the Buccaneers are looking at something in the neighborhood of a 4-year, $240 million contract extension — essentially the deal Dak Prescott got from the Dallas Cowboys before last season — that would pay him in the neighborhood of $60 million per season." Mayfield is coming off a career year where he set highs in several statistical categories. His completion percentage (71.4%), passing yards (4,500), and passing touchdowns (41) were all new highs for the former Heisman Trophy winner. He will look to replicate that production with more help in 2025, as well as by attaching a playoff run with it.
