A Bundaberg mother accused of murdering her three-year-old daughter has been found unresponsive in her jail cell.
Mother-of-three Lauren Ingrid Flanigan, 32, was arrested on Tuesday and charged her with murdering her daughter Sophia.
Queensland Police issued a statement on Saturday.
'Detectives from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit are investigating after a 32-year-old woman was located unresponsive while in custody at the Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre on Friday, May 30,' it said.
'There is no further information available at this time.'
It comes just days after emergency services rushed to Moore Park Beach, on the outskirts of Bundaberg in central Queensland, about 4.45pm on Monday following 'multiple' reports from concerned neighbours.
Three-year-old Sophia was found unresponsive with 'multiple wounds' at the Regency Road home and declared dead at the scene, police said.
Acting Superintendent Brad Inskip said a bladed weapon was also allegedly found.

Aussie sprint superstar secures big win over his rival Gout Gout as Queenslander joins one of the sport's most exclusive clubs
Sprint sensation Lachlan Kennedy has joined one of Australian sport's most exclusive clubs as just the second Aussie to legally better the 10-second barrier for the 100m. Competing at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi on Saturday night (Sunday AEST), Kennedy claimed the win against a strong field, stopping the clock at 9.98 seconds with the aid of a slight 0.7m tailwind. Teen sensation Gout Gout and Rohan Browning have also recently threatened to go sub-10 on multiple occasions, but it's the 21-year-old Kennedy who has reached the magic milestone first. The only other Australian to achieve the celebrated feat was national record holder Patrick Johnson, who ran a sizzling 9.93 in Mito, Japan in 2003. Previously, Gout has run a wind-assisted sub-10-second 100m race. Kennedy, though, is the first to do so legally. 'I was there to win today and bring it home, and I am super-stoked to get the win and the time,' Kennedy said. 'It's so good. I can finally say I have run nine! 'I haven't wanted to rush it or put the pressure on myself, I take every race as it comes and I knew it would come eventually.' Kennedy relegated Paris Olympics relay silver medallist Bayanda Walaza from South Africa (10.03) and hometown hero Ferdinand Omanyala (10.07) to the minor placings. 'The crowd was nuts out there. I think there was early movement from someone in the first part of the race, but it actually did me good. It settled the nerves so I was pretty confident out there today,' Kennedy said. 'I didn't think a nine was realistic until a couple of years ago. When I was still playing rugby but starting to train and realising I had some speed, I made it the goal.' Kennedy first shot to international prominence when he pocketed silver in the 60m at the World Indoors in China in March. The main target for him and his friendly rival and fellow Queenslander Gout this year is the world championships in Tokyo in September. 'I'm getting better with every race,' said Kennedy. 'It's an advantage to have a long season at home. 'I'm not getting tired, so I'm looking forward to seeing what I can achieve later in the year as we get closer to the world championships.' Kennedy and Gout are both scheduled to race the 200m in the prestigious Ostrava Golden Spike Mett in the Czech Republic on June 24.

That's not a tissue! MAFS bride Beth makes X-rated discovery in her tights during morning walk with co-star Rhi Disljenkovic
Married At First Sight stars Beth Kelly and Rhi Disljenkovic found themselves in hysterics during a casual morning stroll in Melbourne. In footage shared to Instagram on Sunday, the reality brides were seen enjoying a walk when Beth suddenly stopped mid-conversation to address a strange sensation in her leg. 'There's literally something in my leg. I think it's a tissue. What is it?' Beth questioned, visibly confused, as she reached into her tights. To her shock - and Rhi's amusement - Beth pulled out a forgotten g-string that had somehow wedged itself in the lining of her leggings. Cue uncontrollable laughter from both women as they processed the bizarre find. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Rhi later reposted the moment to her Instagram Stories, captioning it: 'I am so glad I filmed this. I thought it was a tissue or possibly a sock. @ The sighting comes days after the popular English bride opened up about where she stands with ex-husband Teejay Halkias after cutting ties with him before Final Vows. The couple, who entered the experiment midway through the season, appeared to form a strong connection early on. But things took a turn when Teejay admitted he wasn't falling in love. Beth confirmed she ended the relationship off-camera and later avoided Teejay's attempts to reach out once they returned to their shared hometown of Brisbane. 'It's been a bit of a bumpy ride between us,' Beth told 9Entertainment. 'Watching it back was really difficult for me because I got feelings for someone who clearly didn't have any for me, and there was a bit of a rough patch where I ignored quite a few of his text messages,' she continued. Despite the tension, Beth said she decided to make peace and initiated a one-on-one catch up to clear the air. 'I invited him to my apartment, we had a conversation and I got everything off my chest and that felt really good,' she explained. 'It's quite hard to have a conversation like that, especially when you're so emotional'. 'But Teejay actually said to me, 'You're such a good person, you could have literally invited me over tonight and bit my head off and screamed and yelled at me and you just haven't'. I think that made him respect me even more.' The pair have since crossed paths at social events and group dinners with fellow cast members. 'Everything's fine. We don't hang out separately or one-on-one but obviously in a group environment. At the end of the day, we did go through that amazing experience together so we're always going to have that connection, you know?' Beth said. 'It's always going to feel familiar, we're always going to have that friendship.' Since filming wrapped, the salon manager has started dating again but says she isn't in a rush to find love. 'Even though I'd love to have a relationship I want to take some time to focus on me – but I have been on a few dates. I've definitely dipped my toe back into it. 'I'm not seeing anybody at the moment, but I'm definitely putting myself out there.'

Popovic wants win over 'best team in Asia' in quest for World Cup berth
June 1 (Reuters) - Australia coach Tony Popovic is eyeing victory over Japan on Thursday to not only boost his side's World Cup qualification hopes but further improve the Socceroos' prospects of becoming the strongest team in the Asian confederation. The Australians face Hajime Moriyasu's much-changed squad in Perth knowing a win would take them to the verge of securing a ticket for next year's 48-team finals in North America as runners-up in Group C behind the already-qualified Japanese. "A win is something that we're pushing towards," said Popovic, who led his team to a 1-1 draw when the sides last met in October. "We feel confident we can show an improved performance from what we did in Japan, albeit that was a very good one. "We'll have to be at our best to beat the best team in Asia. That's where we want to get to and to be the best we have to beat the best and they clearly are." The Japanese confirmed their ticket for the finals in March and, as a result, head coach Moriyasu has named a squad featuring eight uncapped players for the trip to Perth. While Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo and Real Sociedad's Takefusa Kubo have been included in the 27-player line, the Japanese are missing key players such as Kaoru Mitoma, Hidemasa Morita and Ayase Ueda. Australia go into the game in second place in the group, three points ahead of Saudi Arabia with two games remaining, although Popovic will be without goal-scoring midfielder Jackson Irvine, who is sidelined after foot surgery. "It's not their best squad, I wonder what that will look like because when we played them in Japan they had their starting 11 all playing in Europe," Popovic said. "We can see that they have a mixture of J-League players and European based players in their squad. We haven't beaten them often and I'm sure they'll be strong regardless of who they play."
