Yashasvi Jaiswal Faces Criticism for Dropped Catches in Leeds Test
Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is hampering Team India's chances of victory with his poor fielding. He is facing criticism for missing not two but four catches in the ongoing Leeds Test against England. After dropping three catches in the first innings, this Team India opener failed to take a crucial catch in the second innings. Duckett was batting at 97 runs when he missed the catch.
When India was struggling for wickets, Jaiswal was dropping catches. Duckett played a pull shot in the bowling of Siraj. The timing was not right, and the ball rose high. Jaiswal, who was fielding at mid-wicket, ran and dived but could not catch it. With this, the England opener, who was still at 97, moved closer to a century.
Duckett went on to score a century, and India lost the match to England.

2025 NBA Draft: Which teams are poised to make a big move?
The National Basketball Association (NBA) season might have ended with the Oklahoma City Thunder's victory over the Indiana Pacers, but the action continues this week as fans keenly await the 2025 NBA Draft. NBA draft prospect Ace Bailey throws out a ceremonial first pitch before a game between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field. (IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect) Holding the coveted first pick this time around, the Dallas Mavericks are likely to pick Cooper Flagg as the No. 1 draft pick. Several other players, including Dylan Harper, Kon Knueppel, VJ Edgecombe, and Ace Bailey, are expected to join new sides during the major event. The event will be held for two days, starting with the first round on Wednesday, June 25. This will be followed by the second round on Thursday, June 26. Here's a look at sides that are expected to take maximum advantage of the 2025 Draft: Philadelphia 76ers As of now, there is no consensus for the No. 3 prospect in the draft. The player who has been placed most frequently there is Ace Bailey, CBS Sports reported. He is making efforts to avoid the team picking at No. 3 (Philadelphia 76ers) and has ducked the No. 4 Charlotte Hornets and No. 5 Utah Jazz. Talks are doing the rounds that his most preferred sides are Washington, New Orleans and Brooklyn, with all three of them showing interest in signing him. Earlier, ESPN's Jonathan Givony reported that either Charlotte or Utah might consider having Bailey and later figuring it out themselves. Toronto Raptors Chances are high for the Raptors (No. 9 pick) to move up their position. For now, Scottie Barnes remains the only player on the roster with All-Star upside. The Raptors have already explored the Kevin Durant trade and are expected to trade out of the first round entirely. They look forward to getting a major player on the roster this offseason. Phoenix Suns The Suns acquired the No. 10 pick during Sunday's Kevin Durant trade with the Rockets. The side is desperately looking out for somebody to bail its owner, Mat Ishbia, out. After Durant's exit, a key question is about the Suns' plan to find a starting center. They were expected to get a player there with the Durant trade, but failed to do so. In such scenario, fans can keep an eye on on Duke center Khaman Maluach. San Antonio Spurs The Spurs entered draft night with two lottery picks last time as they used the first, No. 4, on Stephon Castle. They later traded Rob Dillingham to Minnesota Timberwolves for a first-round pick. Once again, the Spurs now hold two first-round picks. The side holds the No. 14 pick this time around. Oklahoma City Thunder The Thunder holds three picks in the 2025 NBA Draft, No. 15, 24 and 44. The side looks ahead to move further up and get their hands on a premium prospect. If not so, they might think like the Spurs to turn a present pick into future value. ALSO READ: 2025 NBA Finals: How Oklahoma City Thunder emerged as title contender FAQs: 1. 'He led better than Ben Stokes': Former India all-rounder makes big statement about Shubman Gill's captaincy
Former India all-rounder has praised Shubman Gill's captaincy in his debut Test as skipper, saying he led better than England counterpart Ben Stokes despite loss at Headingley. read more Shubman Gill's first Test as India captain ended in a disappointing loss at Headingley, where England beat them by 5 wickets . However, former India all-rounder Mohammad Kaif has praised Gill's leadership and went as far as to say that the India youngster led the team better than England captain Ben Stokes. Kaif blamed the loss on Indian bowlers, saying that Gill didn't receive any support from them apart from Jasprit Bumrah and a bit from Ravindra Jadeja. He said that Gill performed his captaincy duty well and used the team resources in the right manner. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Bumrah picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings but went wicketless in the second. India failed to defend a 371-run target in the final innings as bowled failed to take all 10 wickets. Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur took two wickets each, while Jadeja picked up one, but by then, the damage had already been inflicted by England's Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley. Kaif says Gill did better than Stokes Speaking on his YouTube channel, Kaif said, 'As a young captain, Gill did brilliantly by giving Bumrah 4-4 overs and rotating him well. He led better than Ben Stokes. Well done, thumbs up." 'Helpless captain because he was playing with one and a half bowlers. One is Bumrah, and the remaining half is Jadeja. There was no support from Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, or Shardul. You can't win the Test match with 1.5 bowlers. He did captaincy very well and looked good to me. He used his resources well,' he added. Meanwhile, Gill impressed with the bat, scoring a fine century (147) in the first innings. Kaif pointed that out as another major positive. 'I will praise him a lot because it was a big Test for him in this series. It was important for him to score in England. Everyone said he doesn't know how to play in England, [you] made him captain, but hasn't scored runs. But he passed the Test with the bat, scored a century, excellent batting. Apart from captaincy, he showed he can deliver with the bat,' he added. The second Test match is scheduled to begin on 2 July in Birmingham, and all eyes will be on Gill to see if he can inspire a comeback.

Evander Kane shares heartfelt post as Edmonton Oilers trade NHL winger to rival Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks acquired winger Evander Kane from their rivals, the Edmonton Oilers, in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in a stunning trade. The deal marks a homecoming for the 34-year-old, who grew up in British Columbia and played junior hockey for the Vancouver Giants. Kane has shared a post thanking his former team and expressing excitement about his new endeavors. The Canucks acquired Kane in exchange for a fourth-round pick (117th overall) in the upcoming NHL draft. It was originally Ottawa's, which Edmonton had previously sent to Vancouver for Vasily Podkolzin. Vancouver will take on Kane's full $5.125 million cap hit through the 2025-26 season. On the other hand, Edmonton will gain significant salary cap relief. According to Kane's agent, Dan Milstein, three teams were interested, but Vancouver was Kane's top choice. The deal will mark Kane's fifth NHL organization. He has previously played for Atlanta, Buffalo, San Jose, and Edmonton. Kane shared a heartfelt message on his social media platform, thanking the Oilers and expressing excitement for his return to Vancouver. 'As my time with the Edmonton Oilers has now come to a close, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the entire organization, my teammates, and the incredible community of Edmonton,' he wrote. 'To my teammates—thank you for the battles, the friendships, and the memories.' He added, 'It's an honor to become part of an organization and team I grew up watching as a kid. Vancouver is a city that lives and breathes hockey, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play in front of my hometown,' he added. For the Canucks, acquiring a top-six winger for just the 117th pick in the upcoming NHL draft is a successful deal. Kane's ability to score 20-30 goals per season, combined with his speed and form, makes him a valuable addition to the team. The move will strengthen Vancouver's offense without sacrificing significant future potential. For the Oilers, the trade is a strategic move to free up much-needed salary cap space. By offloading Kane's $5.125 million cap hit, Edmonton will clear room to accommodate Leon Draisaitl's new contract and an upcoming raise for Evan Bouchard. This trade allows Edmonton to focus on retaining core players along with navigating financial constraints.
