Taylor Swift epically shades Kanye West in throwback note to Ed Sheeran

Yahoo30-04-2025

Taylor Swift once shaded Kanye West in a private note sent to her longtime friend Ed Sheeran.
Attached to a jar of homemade jam that Swift gifted the 'Photograph' singer, she wrote, 'Yo Ed — I'm really happy 4 you and I'm gonna let you finish but this is the best jam of all-time. — T'
Swift's cheeky note referenced West's infamous onstage tirade at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he interrupted the singer's acceptance speech.
The viral moment initiated a years-long feud between the disgraced rapper, 47, and the 'Anti-Hero' songstress, 35, with both singers going on to diss each other in their music. Swift's 2010 'Innocent' was widely believed to be about West, while West's 2016 'Famous' contained a direct reference to the wildly popular hitmaker.
Swift originally gave the jar of jam to Sheeran back in 2013, and he posted a photo of it. However, he shared the photo again on April 2, after creating a new Instagram account to share snapshots from a phone he discarded in 2015.
'It was pretty good jam,' Sheeran captioned the repost. In his original 2013 caption, Sheeran noted that Swift made him the jam and called it 'amazing.'
In the comments section, Sheeran's followers couldn't get over Swift's jam — nor could they contain their glee at the epic shade.
'SHE THREW THE BEST SHADE,' gushed a fan, while another remarked, 'Icons only here.'
'Taylor is sooo funny for this!!' commented a third.
Others found the musical duo's friendship inspiring. 'You guys have such a great friendship!' wrote a fourth fan. 'Love seeing some of the beginnings of it!'
Sheeran and Swift are known for their longtime friendship, and for collaborating on several songs together, including 'End Game,' 'Run,' 'Everything Has Changed' and 'The Joker and the Queen.'
While sharing a throwback selfie with Swift on Tuesday, Sheeran reflected on how the old cell phone snapshots inspired his forthcoming new music.
'I found old photos of me with people I was so close to then, but we've lost touch since,' he wrote in part.
'The whole experience was such an emotional journey. I wrote the song 'Old Phone' on my own at 2am whilst jet lagged in India finishing the album, and recorded it that morning.'

Taylor Swift & Blake Lively Texts Can Be Accessed By Justin Baldoni — Report

The text messages exchanged between Taylor Swift and reportedly took the centre stage once again in Justin Baldoni's alleged sexual assault and defamation case. Recently, the 'It Ends With Us' co-star got access to request the chats between the two ladies. The news came after Lively pleaded with the court to protect her conversations with the pop star. Furthermore, Swift's subpoena to appear in court was recently dismissed. Taylor Swift was dragged into Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's 'It Ends With Us' case once again. The filmmaker had earlier requested access to the two stars' text messages. Despite Lively's request not to give access, U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman ruled in Baldoni's favor on June 18. According to Page Six, he stated, 'The requests for messages with Swift regarding the film and this action are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively's harassment and retaliation claims.' However, Baldoni can only review the messages related to the case or the 2024 movie. The tabloid further mentioned that Lively's lawyers attempted to compromise with her co-star's team. They argued to provide any documents to Baldoni's lawyer, except for the text messages exchanged between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. However, the opposition party declined the offer. Earlier this week, Baldoni's team attempted to obtain the conversations of the celebrity BFFs. Lively tried to block his access to the chats and referred it to PR 'tactics' to ruin Swift's image. In response, the 41-year-old actor's legal team accused Ryan Reynolds' wife of using the singer's 'stardom to withhold evidence.' Meanwhile, Baldoni can now access the chat messages. The ruling came after the judge dismissed the actor's $400 million countersuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, for defamation and civil extortion on June 9. Princess Kate's Reaction to Anti-Monarchy Protesters Goes Viral

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Princess Kate waving as her royal carriage passed anti-monarchy protesters went viral on TikTok. Demonstrators at major royal events have become a regular feature of King Charles III's reign and Trooping the Colour, his birthday parade, was no exception on Saturday, June 14. Cameras captured the moment the carriage carrying Kate and her children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis passed by protesters from Republic, which campaigns to replace the monarchy with a democratically elected head of state. Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte [R] are seen during their royal carriage procession at Trooping the Colour, on June 14, 2025, which saw protests by anti-Monarchy campaigners [L].andWhy It Matters A clip of the royal carriage procession and "Not My King" protesters went viral on TikTok in subsequent days after it was liked 67,000 times and viewed 677,000 times. Protests were not generally a feature of Queen Elizabeth II's reign but have been a big part of Republic's campaign strategy since succession, posing a challenge for the royals about how to deal with it. In the days after the queen died in September 2022, police arrested protesters, creating a major public debate about freedom of speech in Britain. However, as the years have passed, the royals have looked more comfortable simply accepting the protests as a routine part of royal life. What to Know The TikTok video begins with footage of the "Not My King" protesters camped out behind crowd control barriers on the route of the royal carriage procession for Trooping on Saturday. It then goes on to show Kate waving alongside Princess Charlotte as the demonstration can be seen in the background. Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, told Newsweek: "The protest went very well. The whole point is that we keep on improving on previous years and that's definitely what we did. We were very visible and got some really great shots." He said some royal supporters had tried to boo the protesters but sounded in the process like they were booing the royals. "We're not worried too much about the royalists," he continued. "Some of them were getting a little bit over excited. The royals are very, very aware of us and I think that they can hear us and see us. Sometimes they look a bit irritated that we're there but that's the nature of it." Smith said they still have tensions with the police over conditions put on their protests, including about the height of their banners and concerns that they could spook the royal horses, which he felt were unfounded. What People Are Saying One reply to the TikTok video read: "I'd rather a royal family than a president. They are the only tradition I feel like the UK has left. "I'd rather my tax went to the working Royals doing their humanitarian deeds than people on benefits for life offering nothing to society." Another person wrote, "I don't understand the hate🥺🥺" while a third wrote: "Well what did they expect? The Queen died so he had to take over anyway, what do they think they'll accomplish by protesting? King Charles is King whether you like it or not!"
