IPL 2025 champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the 11 supporters who lost their lives in a tragic stampede outside the M.
Chinnaswamy Stadium during the team's victory celebrations.
The incident occurred on Wednesday as massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of

and his teammates, resulting in chaos and a deadly stampede that claimed 11 lives and left over 50 others injured.

In a statement shared on social media on Thursday, RCB expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy.

"The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family. As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced a financial support of INR 10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased. In addition, a fund called RCB Cares is also being created to support fans injured in this tragic incident," RCB said.
"Our fans will always remain at the heart of everything that we do. We remain united in grief," the franchise said.

According to Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, 2-3 lakh fans turned up to participate in the celebrations. The ground's capacity, on the other hand, is around 35,000. Under fire, the state government suspended Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda and several senior police officials, and ordered the arrest of representatives of RCB, DNA entertainment private limited and Karnataka State Cricket Association. It also handed over the probe to a one-man judicial commission of retired Karnataka high court judge, justice Michael Cunha.
