Police: Attempted kidnapping occurred in Littleton
DENVER (KDVR) — Police said that an attempted kidnapping occurred in Littleton on Saturday afternoon, according to a post on X from the Littleton Police Department.
The attempted kidnapping occurred around 4:30 p.m., according to police.
Two juvenile girls were riding their bikes in the 6800 block of South Prince Way when a man approached them and grabbed one of them from behind. She was able to break free.
The girls said they screamed, causing the suspect to flee, and they rode their bikes away.
Police said the juveniles described the suspect as an Asian man with long hair in a bun, but in a press release on Saturday night around 9:15 p.m., the police said that the male was an unknown ethnicity, but appeared to have a tan complexion with dark hair and was wearing a red sweatshirt and black pants.
The Littleton Police Department advised that the public be vigilant in their awareness.
The department said it is actively investigating the incident and will provide updates when they become available.
Littleton police ask that anyone who has information on the incident contact the department at 303-794-1551.

1 killed, 2 hurt in Dillon County after vehicle overturns running from police
DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was killed and two others hurt in a Friday afternoon wreck involving a vehicle running from police, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. It happened just after 12:30 p.m. on South Longstreet Road near Homelight Road when a 2023 Dodge Charger ran off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
