Zara Tindall's huge wardrobe blunder at Queen's funeral nearly forced Prince Harry to step in

Zara Tindall has shared the hilarious moment she suffered a wardrobe blunder at the Queen's funeral - and considered sending Prince Harry to pick up her shoe.
Even Zara Tindall, an Olympic silver medallist, Royal equestrian and mother of three, isn't immune to a wardrobe malfunction during significant moments. As the late Queen lay in state at Westminster Hall, Zara, who turned 44 on Thursday, was among the Royal grandchildren standing vigil by the coffin.
Dressed in full mourning attire, she moved with the expected Royal grace. However, as she ascended the stone steps, disaster struck - her shoe slipped off. She said to guests at a charity dinner this week: "Did you see my shoe fell off? The heels I was wearing for the vigil?

"We were walking out, up the steps and I had tights on and my shoes were a little bit big. We were all walking up the steps and my shoe came off.

"William was in front of me and my brother was beside me." Faced with the predicament of leaving it behind or causing a scene, Zara did what any quick-thinking Royal would do - she briefly contemplated asking Prince Harry to retrieve it, reports the Mirror.
"I went up the next step and I was like 'Shall I pick it up...or shall I leave Harry to pick it up?' So yeah, basically, I picked it up quick and I walked in. William came around the corner and said 'What are you doing?' I was like: 'I have lost my shoe!'"
This incident was one of several revelations from Zara, daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, as she spoke at the £210-per-head Sporting Club dinner in London. Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, recently spoke about King Charles's Coronation last May.
She confessed: "I did not see it actually, where I was sat. He was around the corner. I could not see."
Zara even made a humorous remark about not recalling who presented her with an MBE in 2007. "Was it Granny? I think it was. I can't remember. Please don't tell anyone I just said that... I will kill you!!"

Zara is looking forward to celebrating her 44th birthday on Thursday with her husband Mike Tindall and their three children Mia, 11, Lena, six, and Lucas, four.
Meeting former rugby player Mike in Sydney back in 2003, initially she considered him "a bit boring," but that opinion swiftly changed after a few drinks. "He messaged me the whole time like 'Come for a drink.' I was actually hanging out with the All Blacks at the time!"

The pair tied the knot in 2011, with their offspring increasingly reflecting Zara's influence.
"There is never a dull moment," she shared. "Obviously my personality is coming out in the children and there are some (characteristics) that you love and some that you don't like."
Zara and Mike now display their accolades in a home bar, arranged above the spirits. "I've got more medals than him," she beamed.

Meghan Markle's 'vulgar' move would leave King Charles 'horrified', claims expert

Meghan Markle stunned the world by sharing a video of her in a hospital room before giving birth to her daughter. A royal commentator has described Meghan Markle's decision to share a video of her twerking in an effort to induce labour as "utterly bizarre", which would likely leave King Charles "horrified". The Duchess of Sussex surprised fans and the press by uploading the footage on Lilibet's fourth birthday, where she danced vibrantly in a maternity ward with Prince Harry by her side. ‌ Meghan is seen in the video energetically twerking to Starrkeisha's Baby Momma Anthem, hitching her skirt above the knees, lifting her arms and shuffling low, hands placed firmly on her waist, legs moving rhythmically. ‌ Posting the video, Meghan reflected: "Four years ago today, this also happened," adding that after other methods such as eating spicy food, walking extensively, and trying acupuncture failed, dancing seemed like the next option. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" she penned. Jennie Bond, ex-BBC Royal correspondent, gave her take on the surprising clip, telling the Mirror that those moments are typically highly private for any couple. Emphasising the significance of personal choice during childbirth, Bond stated: "The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple. "Women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome. ‌ "However, to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. "Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest- but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it? ‌ "I can hear the voice of the late Queen's former private secretary, Lord Charteris, repeating the comments he once made about Fergie: 'Vulgar, vulgar, vulgar'." She went on: "If the King has watched it, which I doubt, though he can't have missed the headlines I'm sure he would be horrified. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity. ‌ "I'm glad they were so happy before the birth, I'm glad Harry was there to support his wife in every way, I'm delighted to hear that he's such a great dad. But they really can't have it both ways. "They can't demand privacy and be so coy about sharing images of their children and then show us all these intensely intimate scenes. "And she cannot expect to be treated as if she's royal whilst behaving like a click-hungry social media influencer." ‌ Jennie admitted, though, that such videos will "connect in a very real way to young people". "Perhaps that's what Meghan is trying to do," she reasoned. "My own daughter thought the video humanised both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. "It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labour and she thought it was rather charming. "In many ways, I agree with her. I just don't think it sits happily with trying to cling to the vestiges of being ' royal '." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Meghan Markle appears to dismiss twerking video controversy as she shares serene beach photo

Meghan appeared to shrug off the backlash surrounding her decision to share a twerking video with Prince Harry Meghan Markle has appeared to shrug off the negativity over her so-called "cringeworthy" twerking clip with a lively beach photograph. The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram account @As_Ever_Meghan to share her joy of 'running into the weekend', posting a playful image of herself frolicking in the ocean. In the shot, the 43-year-old can be seen capering through the surf on a radiant beach, donning a billowy white sundress, while eagerly anticipating 'all the good to come'. ‌ Her post came not long after she uploaded a series of endearing snaps featuring her husband Prince Harry and their children - Archie, aged six, and four year old Lilibet - from a magical family outing to Disneyland. ‌ Gifting her 3.7 million followers with the collage, the duchess recalled the two-day adventure as "pure joy" and gave a shout-out to the theme park for enabling such a memorable experience, reports the Mirror. She painted a picture of their escapades that included exhilarating attractions and savoury snacks. Among the intimate family shots were an adorable image of Archie and Lilibet encountering Elsa from Frozen and a heartwarming photo capturing a moment between Prince Harry and Lilibet on a ride. The latest bout of social updates came on the heels of a somewhat controversial posting - a fun, yet somewhat awkward video of Meghan and Prince Harry dancing in what appeared to be an attempt to kickstart the labour for Lilibet's birth. The candid clip, lasting over a minute, also showcases Harry, who can be seen dancing in and out of the shot. Meghan beckons him into the frame as they dance together, with the Duke appearing towards the end, his grey hoodie's hood up, continuing his dance routine. ‌ Meghan, donned in a black maternity dress, dances while cradling her prominent bump. She lifts her skirt above her knees, raises her hands in the air, and does a low wiggle with her hands on her hips and legs. The release of this video marks one of the more unconventional ways a Royal family member has celebrated a Royal birthday. ‌ Earlier, the Duchess shared previously unseen intimate family photos of "Daddy's little girl and favourite adventurer" Lili. Meghan posted a monochrome photo of herself cuddling the princess, who was seated on her lap, both sporting windswept hair, seemingly on a boat. ‌ Another picture showed Meghan tenderly holding newborn Lili, enjoying skin-to-skin contact with the newest member of her family in 2021. In a subsequent post, she described Lili's relationship with Harry as "the sweetest bond to watch unfold". ‌ The latest development comes not long after a Royal expert described a crucial meeting between Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate and Meghan as an event that "ripped the monarchy to pieces". The explosive encounter reportedly took place in June 2018 when the Prince and Princess of Wales sat down with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amid rising tensions after Harry and Meghan's wedding. The situation escalated post-ceremony, as recounted in Prince Harry's memoir 'Spare', who cited early turbulence involving his wife and his sister-in-law. He detailed a dispute concerning bridesmaid dresses prior to his wedding which purportedly left Meghan in tears, mentioning that Kate "grimaced" when Meghan used her lip gloss. Katie Price sends son Harvey back to college early after he 'smashes' £3k TV

Katie Price previously revealed that Harvey is "on the verge of a heart attack" after tipping the scales at 30 stone Katie Price has revealed that her son Harvey had to return to college earlier than planned after he wrecked her telly. The ex-glamour model took to Snapchat to recount the episode in which her eldest boy "smashed" the £3,000 set. Harvey, aged 23, left his mum gobsmacked when his tantrum resulted in the need for a fresh TV. The mother of five relayed the tale to her social media fans before explaining to her son the repercussions of his behaviour. ‌ In the video, Katie captured Harvey, who is visually impaired due to septo-optic dysplasia, a brain development disorder, and also has autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that can lead to overeating. ‌ She described being roused by the noise of the telly breaking at six in the morning. In the footage, Katie, 47, enquired: "What has mummy just heard?" To which Harvey calmly responded: "Smashing the TV." Asking more about what happened, Harvey claimed something on the screen had annoyed him. However, she later expressed scepticism to her followers, saying nothing was probably on the screen at the time, reports the Mirror. Katie then informed Harvey: "You was going to college tomorrow to get some new meds [medication], but now when are you going? You are going now." A downcast Harvey uttered: "Oh god," as his mum clarified that she needed to send him back so she could sort out a new telly for the house. She labelled the whole scenario as "sad". Later, Harvey said sorry to the former glamour model and promised it wouldn't occur again. ‌ Katie insisted to her son: "Well you've got to go to collage now and get some meds." Katie commemorated Harvey's 23rd birthday last month with a heartfelt display of affection. She posted a lovely snapshot on Instagram showing her and Harvey cosying up in bed before his birthday festivities. ‌ On Bank Holiday Monday, Katie shared her delight over Harvey reaching another milestone on her Instagram stories. The charming post featured the pair lying cheek-to-cheek in bed, having a leisurely day relaxing at home. Brimming with anticipation for the celebration ahead, Katie said: "Bank holiday cuddles before lots of celebrations tomorrow." ‌ It comes amid Katie's transparency about Harvey's escalating health issues as he tipped the scales at 30 stone. In a frank conversation with her sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show, Katie did not shy away from discussing the gravity of their circumstances. "He's just under 30st and that's huge," she disclosed. "He's on the verge of a heart attack. He won't have a long life if he carries on putting more and more weight on." Katie then revealed that they are actively collaborating with a medical team to attempt to improve his health. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
