'Tyrese Haliburton's 2025 Postseason: Unforgettable,' reads the post's caption.
As the highlight reel rolls, Nat King Cole's 'Unforgettable' is heard playing in the background to set the tone. Haliburton, 25, helped Indiana reach its first NBA finals since 2000, when they were defeated by the Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal-led Los Angeles Lakers 4-2.
In this season's playoffs, he helped the Pacers defeat the division rival Milwaukee Bucks 4-1 in the first round. Haliburton helped them seal the 119-118 Game 5 victory on April 29 by scoring 26 points.
In the second round against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the All-Star guard spearheaded a miraculous Game 2 comeback by scoring 19 points and hitting the game-winning three-point shot of a 120-119 victory. He then helped his team eliminate the Cavaliers by winning the series 4-1.

In the following games, he continued to impress by putting up a 32-point, 12-rebound and 15-assist triple-double in Game 4 on May 27. Haliburton closed out the series by scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a 125-108 Game 6 triumph on Saturday.
Indiana and Haliburton will now play in the NBA Finals against the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander-led Oklahoma City Thunder starting Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Tyrese Haliburton Joins Elite List Among NBA Legends LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, And More

Tyrese Haliburton nailed the buzzer-beater to cap off a 14-point comeback for the Pacers against the Knicks to tie the game at 125-125 and force overtime. The Pacers went on a 20-6 run in the final 2:30 of regulation time and eventually won the game 138-135. With this buzzer-beater, Haliburton found himself tied for third on the list for most game-tying or go-ahead shots made in the final five seconds of the game (since 1997). This list is led by LeBron James (8 shots), followed by Reggie Miller (5 shots). Then Haliburton is tied with Kobe Bryant and Khris Middleton on 3rd with 4 shots made in clutch moments. This 14-point run marked the third time in these playoffs where the Pacers pulled off a 7-point+ comeback in the final minute of the game and eventually won. Haliburton finished the game with 31 points, 11 assists, and 4 rebounds. What Tyrese Haliburton Did After Buzzer Beater In Game 1 ECF Haliburton tracked back on a drive in during the final possession in an attempt to make the three-point shot to win the game. When the shot went in, Haliburton put his hands on his neck to do the choke sign celebration to pay an ode to Reggie Miller, who was present in the building as a commentator from the sidelines. This celebration was a tribute to Miller's 1994 playoff series celebration against the Knicks when he nailed the game-tying three-point shot and did the same thing. However, Haliburton had not yet realized that his toe was touching the line, and it was counted as a two to tie the game. As a result, Haliburton felt his misconception led him to waste the opportunity of doing that celebration properly. Advertisement "Everybody's been wanting me to do it. I was going to hold it for the right time, that felt appropriate. And then, you know it went to overtime, so we're going to have to save it for later,' said Haliburton after the game. "I wasn't like plotting on it or anything, I just… Everybody wanted me to do it like last year, at some different point, but it's just got to, it's got to feel right, and it felt right at the time… If I would have known it was a two, I would not have done it. So I think I might have wasted it. If I do it again, then people might say I'm aura farming, so I'm not; I don't plan on using it again", said Haliburton when asked when he planned to do Reggie Miller's celebration. This is the second season in a row where the Pacers have reached the Eastern Conference Finals. Haliburton has averaged 18.7 points, 9.5 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in 11 games in this season's playoffs. He is on the verge of cementing his name among the all-time greats of the Pacers if he manages to help the Pacers beat the Knicks and go to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000. Knicks Fans Are Upset After Recent Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns News

Knicks Fans Are Upset After Recent Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It was a disappointing end to the 2024-25 season for the New York Knicks as they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals. Advertisement After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000, the Knicks never really showed up in the series as they fell down 2-0 early on after losing the first two games at Madison Square Garden. New York was never able to climb their way out of the hole they had dug themselves into as the Pacers were able to advance to the NBA Finals in six games while the Knicks' offseason now begins earlier than expected. Rebilas-Imagn Images There have been many fingers pointed as to why New York was unable to reach the Finals with many blaming now former head coach Tom Thibodeau after they fired him on Tuesday, along with Karl-Anthony Towns and their lack of depth. Advertisement While there are many areas of blame for the Knicks' playoff exit, it seemed as though their players were quickly able to get over their disappointing defeat by Indiana as they were seen partying on Monday night, just two games after being eliminated. In a photo posted on X, Jalen Brunson, Towns, OG Anunoby, Cameron Payne, Josh Hart and PJ Tucker were all seen partying at a Chelsea bar on Monday night and fans are not happy. 'Is it me, or do they look too happy. I'm still not completely over the loss,' one fan commented. 'Damn it hasn't even been a week yet. They ain't expect to get that far did they,' another fan said. Advertisement 'Why would you party after losing the third round so badly,' one fan commented. 'UNSERIOUS franchise,' another fan posted. Sokolowski-Imagn Images It is clear that fans are displeased with the fact that New York's biggest stars are already out partying just two days after suffering a season-ending loss and a day before their head coach was fired. This is a bad look for the Knicks' stars, especially Towns and Brunson, and the franchise now enters a crucial offseason as they try to upgrade their roster for another deep playoff run next season.
