Family and friends invited to the Red River Ballon Rally in Northwest Louisiana
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The 2025 Red River Balloon Rally is set to return to Bossier City.
The Red River Balloon Rally promises a magical experience for people of all ages. Attendees can enjoy mesmerizing balloon glows, food, live music, children's zones, craft vendors, and tethered balloon rides. Additionally, there will be a fireworks show each night of the event.
Bossier Chamber of Commerce will host event to honor community leaders

Louisiana Public Broadcasting honors six students as young heroes Louisiana Public Broadcasting selected six students as 'Young Heroes,' recognizing them as role models within their local communities. Among those chosen are Mateo Guerrero, a recent graduate of Bossier High School, and Gabrielle Essex, a recent graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. Louisiana Public Broadcasting defines a young hero as an exceptional young person who has excelled in academics, contributed to public service, overcome personal challenges, or inspired others to become better students, individuals, and citizens. The special will feature a segment on Louisiana Young Heroes Day, which took place on April 28. The honorees and their families enjoyed a full day of activities in Baton Rouge, including a behind-the-scenes tour of LSU Football Operations. The students also received a gift bag that included a MacBook Air to support their educational pursuits. 'Chef Niema Day,' winner of Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay recognized Young Heroes 2025 will air Friday, June 13, at 8:00 p.m. statewide. Circus Delman set for 10 days of Shreveport shows at Mall St. Vincent

The Circus Delman Spectacular will visit Mall St. Vincent for a 10-day run of shows featuring acrobats, jugglers, motorcycle daredevils, and more. Disney on Ice to debut characters from 'Moana 2' and 'Inside Out 2' Circus Delman also features a rock wall, bungee ride, face painting, toy store, and food in the Kids Fun Zone, their 'largest circus midway.' Circus Delman was founded in Mexico City in 1984 by Mr. Oney Del Manzano, his four children, Lorena, Jorge, Roberto, and Alberto, and Mrs. Aida Vázquez. The family presented shows throughout Mexico, Central America, and South America, and now brings their shows to the United States. NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Northwestern State University's Summer Dinner Theatre will present 'I Love You to Death: A Speakeasy Mystery.' Grammy winner Chubby Carrier to talk zydeco at free event The dinner theatre shows will be in a different location this year due to the current system remodel of A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. 'This has allowed us to take a different approach to the show,' said Director Robert Richoux. 'The show will take place at The Venue on Front Street, which means there is no stage, and the cast will be in and out of the audience to make you feel even more connected and immersed in the world of the play.' 'I Love You to Death: A Speakeasy Mystery' was written by Robert J. Leblanc. 'In the play, a boxer, a gangster, a rival, a tortured vaudevillian, a woman on the prowl, and a pair of star-crossed lovers enter the Irish Lyon Social Club. Who will leave the speakeasy alive? The jazz plays, illegal liquor flows, and the bodies and suspects start piling up in this tale of crooked deals, jilted lovers, betrayal, and mayhem. Try to pin the suspect with the crime to find out who did the deed in 'I Love You to Death,'' a press release stated.
