Eritrea: Easter Holiday Celebrated Nationwide
Easter Holiday was colorfully celebrated nationwide today.
The prayer service at Saint Mary Church in Asmara, led by His Holiness Abune Basilios, 6th Patriarch of the Orthodox Tewahdo Church of Eritrea, was attended by President Isaias Afwerki and a large number of the faithful.
In his Easter message, His Holiness Abune Basilios extended his heartfelt congratulations, wishing a Happy Easter, peace, and development to the Eritrean people both at home and abroad—particularly to the faithful and members of the Eritrean Defense Forces.
He also called upon the faithful to lend support to disadvantaged citizens.
Easter Holiday was also celebrated in a vibrant and joyful manner across the country.

Eritrea: Seminar on the Objective Situation in the Homeland
Brig. Gen. Eyob Fesehaye (Halibai), Commander of the Western Command of the Eritrean Defense Forces, conducted a seminar on 29 May for Government workers and members of the Defense Forces in the Akordet sub-zone. The seminar was organized by the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students in the Gash Barka Region. Brig. Gen. Eyob gave an extensive briefing on the political and armed struggle of the Eritrean people for independence, the conspiracies and hostilities perpetrated against the Eritrean people, the heavy sacrifice paid, and the noble values nurtured throughout the process. He also called on the youth to enhance their awareness, equip themselves with education and skills, and take advantage of the opportunities being provided. The participants, emphasizing the importance of the seminar, called for similar sessions to be organized for members of the Defense Forces and the youth. United Arab Emirates (UAE) Expresses Solidarity with Nigeria and Conveys Condolences Over Victims of Flood
The United Arab Emirates has expressed its solidarity with the Federal Republic of Nigeria following floods that submerged the town of Mokwa in Niger State, in the north of the country, resulting in dozens of deaths and substantial damage to property.
